Everything You Need To Know About Harley-Davidson’s Most Powerful Motorcycle Engine

The Stage IV is a V-twin engine, that means it has two pistons transferring reverse one another. This is the usual design for contemporary bikes. However, the 135ci quantity is much from customary.

Adding to the excessive efficiency are 6.8g/sec gasoline injectors, that are greater than quick sufficient to achieve excessive speeds in seconds. It additionally has 4.31″ metal sleeve cylinders. They’re so finely tuned that Harley took out a patent on them. Those fancy cylinders are topped with one other Harley-brand half, the Screamin’ Eagle Extreme CNC-ported cylinder heads.

It’s designed for a “wide open throttle,” which suggests you possibly can crank it to speed up in a flash. It makes passing on highways safer and simpler. The rotational velocity can ship 130 hp at 5,500 RPM.

For perspective, the first Harley-Davidson model had bicycle pedals for including human energy ought to the 24.74ci, 3hp engine wrestle on steep hills. But that was over 100 years in the past, and occasions have modified.

Breaking Down The Cybertruck: Complete Analysis Of Stats And Features, As Told By Elon Musk

The Cybertruck has a listed curb weight of 6,850 pounds, which means the total weight without occupants. In comparison, the base model of the Ford F-150 Lightning weighs a minimum of 6,015 pounds, while the Platinum trim weighs 6,893 pounds.

According to Elon Musk, the Cybertruck is capable of accelerating to 60 miles per hour in 2.6 seconds, potentially making it the fastest-accelerating production pickup in the world. In contrast, the F-150 Lightning Lariat has a 0-60 time of 3.8 seconds, and the Quad-Motor Rivian R1T achieves it in 3.0 seconds flat. Musk mentioned that the Cybertruck feels different from a normal truck, being smooth and silent to drive. Additionally, it comes with adaptive air suspension, a feature that luxury cars have had for several years.

The truck is claimed to have a “true” 17-inch ground clearance and a flat bottom for maximum off-road capability. On the other hand, The GMC Hummer SUV can lift itself to 16 inches. The Cybertruck’s drag coefficient is listed as .335cd, compared to the Hyundai Ioniq 6, which has a drag coefficient of 0.21cd. Lower values are better for drag coefficients.

Yet Another Electric Ford Crossover Spied, Looks Ready For Production

Ford’s electric vehicle division faced a $1.3 billion operating loss in the third quarter, translating to a loss of around $36,000 for every electric vehicle sold during that period. A significant portion of this loss is due to ongoing investments in next-generation EVs. Recent evidence confirms that the Blue Oval manufacturer is actively developing new electric products. The gallery below showcases a new electric crossover from Ford, set to debut next year.

A few days ago, our spies provided photos of an upcoming zero-emissions SUV from Ford, based on Volkswagen’s MEB platform. The newly captured prototype hints at a smaller electric crossover, which will join the Puma family. Previously, the Puma served as Ford’s entry-level product in the European market after the discontinuation of the Fiesta hatchback. The new electric crossover is expected to follow suit.

Watch the Journey of This Honda CX500 Custom Build from a Box of Parts to a Finished Bike

Over time, words can change their meaning. For example, the word “scrambler” used to describe off-road bikes has now evolved into a term for street bikes with a certain style. But there are still bike enthusiasts who want to build true dual sport machines that can handle off-road exploring. And that’s exactly what Brick House Builds did with their 1982 Honda CX500 Custom.

In a timelapse video that’s about an hour long, you can witness the entire process of transforming a literal pile of parts into a fully built bike. BJ from BHB takes you on the journey from start to finish, including a test ride at the end.

The base bike is a 1982 Honda CX500, which BJ aims to turn into a Backcountry Discovery Route-capable scrambler, not just a street bike with scrambler style. This involves a fork swap and modifying Gold Wing wheels to fit the new fork. After a hub swap and spacer fabrication, everything comes together nicely.

While the engine undergoes a rebuild, BJ keeps it mostly stock but adds a fan from a ’90s Yamaha R1. This requires some bracket fabrication to ensure a proper fit. BJ also makes other modifications like a new headlight bracket, gauge bracket, electronics tray, seat pan, rear rack, and a mount for a Rotopax fuel can. He even crafts a tool tube to carry long wrenches and tire irons. And of course, a custom skid plate is patiently put together to protect the bike.

After test-fitting and sending parts out for powder-coating, the final assembly begins. The bike is now equipped with black fork lowers, tool tube, brackets, and skid plate, giving it a capable and elegant look. The exhaust, both in shape and sound, is also a highlight of this build.

Although we can’t fully experience the bike’s capabilities through a video, the test ride at the end showcases its strengths. What do you think of this impressive build?

New Nissan Nismo Model Premieres On August 8

Nissan has announced that a new Nismo model will be unveiled on August 8. The teaser campaign has piqued the interest of automotive enthusiasts who are eager to find out which vehicle will receive the sporty Nismo treatment.

The accompanying Japanese text on the teaser does not provide any additional hints about the identity of the vehicle. It simply states, “8/8 10:30 New model released.”

Based on the current Nismo lineup, which includes the Leaf, Note Aura, GT-R, and the recently launched Z, it is safe to say that the new model will not be any of these existing models. The silhouette in the teaser suggests that the vehicle could be a sedan or a hatchback, ruling out the possibility of it being a crossover or a van.

It is highly unlikely that the new Nismo model is the rumored hybrid sports car that Nissan’s CEO mentioned to be under development. No specific details about the hybrid sports car have been provided so far.

Nissan has expressed interest in building an electric sports car with solid-state batteries, but it is unlikely that this new Nismo model is the electric sports car in question. The company does not expect to have the technology for production until 2028.

The most recent addition to the Nismo sub-brand is the Nismo Z, which features a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine producing 420 horsepower and 384 pound-feet of torque. The Nismo Z comes with a nine-speed automatic gearbox, revised styling for enhanced aerodynamics, and improved suspension. It will be available for sale this fall.

Audi Q3 Facelift Rendered With Subtle Visual Changes

The second generation Audi Q3 was launched back in July 2018, making it a five-year-old premium crossover. Despite its age, the model hasn’t been a bestseller for the German brand, with only 8,925 deliveries in the United States during the first six months of this year. As a result, Audi has decided it’s time for a refresh, and work on the facelifted Q3 has already begun. We now have a rendering that gives us a preview of how the crossover could look when it debuts in 2025.

Our friends at Motor.es have produced this exclusive digital drawing based on early test prototypes they’ve seen. Although our spy photographers haven’t caught a Q3 trial vehicle yet, it seems that the visual changes to the crossover will be minimal. This shouldn’t come as a surprise, as Audi has a history of giving its core models subtle revisions for their mid-cycle facelifts.
