You Can Buy The French-Built, German-Powered Ineos Grenadier With An American Flag

Picking up where the traditional Land Rover Defender left off, the Ineos Grenadier has been in production for the US since late September. Deliveries start this month, and in case you haven’t seen it yet, the off-roader’s configurator is great. It feels like you’re customizing a vehicle in a video game with four backgrounds to choose from: Indoor, Iceland, The Alps, and Canyonlands.

The configurator reveals quite a few interesting features, some of which are standard while others cost extra. For example, the rear-mounted access ladder and the safari windows are included in this $79,190 Fieldmaster Edition we’ve decided to highlight. The $585 exterior utility belt is essentially an attachment system to anchor extra storage space or leisure equipment when going camping or overloading. The optional item that stands out is the national flag plaque for $95.

5 Common Driving Habits That Might Be Damaging Your Car

Some cautious drivers might have the habit of keeping their left foot on the brake pedal, rather than on the footrest, ready to use it instantly if needed. However, constantly engaging the brakes, especially while the engine is running, can lead to unnecessary wear and tear on the brake pads and rotors or drums. This can reduce the brakes’ effectiveness and possibly lead to sudden brake failure while driving, requiring more frequent visits to the mechanic or even causing an accident.

Honda Updates CB650R and CBR650R With A New E-Clutch And Refreshed Designs At EICMA

During EICMA this year, Honda introduced several new and upgraded bikes. For the 2024 model year, two of the popular big bike models, the Honda CB650R and the Honda CBR650R, are receiving significant updates including a new clutch system and refreshed designs.

Besides the middleweights, the heavyweight liter-class segment also saw the introduction of the CB1000 Hornet from Honda. Despite this, Honda remains committed to its middleweight inline-four platforms, with the CB and CBR models set to carry on with 649cc engines in 2024, complete with improvements and enhancements.

Starting with the CB650R, the popular naked bike has undergone a significant redesign, taking design cues from the CB1000R. The CB650R’s headlight has been updated to resemble that of the CB1000R, and new side panels have also been introduced. Although the Neo Sports Cafe design language remains prominent, it has been refined with sharper lines and reduced side panel footprint compared to the previous model launched in 2019.

Moving on to the CBR650R, the bike now boasts a sleeker appearance overall, with new race-inspired fairings and an updated tail section featuring a sharp rear end and a flush taillight. The distinctive split headlight design has been retained, along with optimized airflow through additional cut-outs on the fairings.

The 2024 iterations of these bikes will utilize the same frames, engines, and suspension setups as their predecessors, with both featuring a 649cc inline-four cylinder engine capable of producing up to 94 horsepower and 46.5 pound-feet of torque. Standard traction control systems and a Showa suspension setup are also among the shared features. Additionally, the bikes will be equipped with four-piston Nissin radial-mounted brakes biting on 310 dual rotors in the front.

While mechanically identical to their predecessors, the new models will feature a modernized suite of amenities. These include five-inch TFT displays, full-color backlit buttons for navigation, compatibility with Honda’s RoadSync App for iOS and Android smartphone pairing, and an under-seat USB-C port for charging.

However, the most notable feature of these bikes is the introduction of the Honda E-Clutch system, which complements the traditional cable clutch. With two electronic servo motors controlled by the ECU, the E-Clutch allows for seamless up and downshifts without requiring input from the handlebar lever. The system can be overridden for full control and also offers sensitivity presets to adjust its behavior.

The First Step to Take if Your Android Device Gets Water Damaged

Once you have given your Android device enough time to dry out, it’s important to examine it closely. Check if it appears completely dry before proceeding. If it looks dry, you can reinsert the components (if you removed them) and attempt to turn it on. If you acted quickly and followed the correct steps, your phone should hopefully work without any issues. However, it is important to keep an eye on its functions in the following days. Test the primary components such as the microphone and speaker to ensure they are working properly.

If your Android device does not turn on even after drying, it is most likely damaged beyond repair. In this case, it is recommended to contact the manufacturer of your phone to discuss repair or replacement options. If you have insurance that covers water damage, you may be eligible to receive a new device at no additional cost. However, if you do not have insurance, you will have to bear the expenses for repairs or a replacement device.

If you were able to save your SIM card, you can insert it into a new phone to retrieve most of your old data. However, if you were not able to save it, it is important to have a backup of your data stored on the cloud, if possible.

Mark Your Calendars For The 2024 WorldSBK Race Season

The 2023 WorldSBK is coming to an end, and it’s becoming clear who will come out on top. Currently leading the pack is Alvaro Bautista for Ducati with 628 points. Toprak Razgatlioglu is in second place with 552 points, and Jonathan Rea for Kawasaki is in third place with 370 points.

Although these rankings could change in the final round, it’s likely that these three riders will make it to the podium for the 2023 season. However, there are some significant changes in store for them in the 2024 season. We previously discussed the implementation of a new minimum combined weight regulation starting next season, which was partly due to the advantage smaller riders like Alvaro Bautista had. Additionally, Toprak will be switching to BMW, and Jonathan Rea will be moving over to Yamaha.

The racing action will then move to the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in Spain from March 22 to 24, with testing scheduled for March 14 to 15. From April 19 to 21, the WorldSBK will return to the historic TT Circuit Assen in the Netherlands, followed by a break in May for rest and preparation.

Microsoft Closes Windows 7/8 to Windows 11 Upgrade Option

For users of older Windows systems, there are now only two choices available. They can either install Windows 11 and purchase a product key from the Microsoft Store, or they can buy a new PC that comes with a pre-installed copy of Windows 11. It is important to note, however, that if your computer was purchased during the time when Windows 7 or 8 was the latest version, it is unlikely to support Windows 11.

This is because Microsoft has set specific system requirements for Windows 11, stating that hardware meeting certain criteria will provide optimal performance. To assist users, the company has released a digital tool that automatically checks their hardware and informs them whether their PC is eligible for the Windows 11 upgrade. If your PC is not compatible and you do not wish to purchase a new one, you can alternatively upgrade to Windows 10, as Microsoft will continue to provide support for this version for at least the next two years.

Abandoned Cadillac Hearse Revived After Years in a Field

After being left to deteriorate in a field for more than 16 years, this Cadillac hearse is now covered in mold, dirt, and debris. However, the WD Detailing crew takes on the challenge of rescuing and restoring the vehicle. They begin by thoroughly cleaning the interior and exterior, and then work on getting it running again.

Transporting the hearse back to the shop proves to be a difficult task. Due to its length, the vehicle hangs off the back of the trailer. To add to the challenge, one of the team members accidentally drops the winch battery while loading the hearse. It seems as though the vehicle wants to remain undisturbed.
