Camouflaged Lamborghini Huracan Replacement Doesn’t Sound Like It Has A V10

In today’s era of electric-powered and smaller engines, Lamborghini’s V10 is starting to appear outdated from a regulatory perspective. The natural 5.2-liter engine is set to phase out next year when the final Huracan is produced. What will take its place? A listen to what appears to be a smaller gasoline engine intended for the upcoming “entry-level” supercar may hold the answer.

This lengthy spy video takes us around the streets of Italy, showcasing numerous supercars and SUVs adorned with the raging bull emblem. Some of the footage was captured right outside the factory in Sant’Agata Bolognese. The 19-minute clip gives us a close look at the Huracan’s successor, clad in full camouflage and sporting some Gallardo-like stickers covering the headlights and taillights.

Rental Lamborghini Urus Sideswiped After Two Hours Costs $62,000 To Fix

The Lamborghini Urus is a highly sought-after car, but its steep price tag makes it inaccessible for most people. Priced at over $200,000, this “Super SUV” is usually reserved for the wealthy elite. However, if you want to experience its 641 horsepower and take your friends for a spin, renting one is your only option.

Unfortunately, rental company Gotham Dream Cars had their Urus sidelined after just two hours of renting it out. The vehicle, which had only done 5,000 miles, was sideswiped while waiting at a red light. Now, it’s waiting for replacement parts to get back on the road. Despite being the most common Lamborghini car with 20,000 units produced by mid-2022, finding replacement parts for the Urus has proven to be a challenge.

2022 Lamborghini Urus repair costs

The CEO of Gotham Dream Cars, Rob Ferretti, explained that finding replacement passenger-side doors and a side mirror has been difficult. The goal was to get the Urus back on the road within a week, but two weeks later, they are still waiting for the replacement panels to arrive.

The cost of the parts alone adds up to $36,292, with an additional $9,487 for body labor. On top of that, there is a paint labor cost of $6,987 and a paint cost of $4,192. Work done on the frame amounts to $1,050, and there’s an extra $128 for “body supplies.” Interestingly, the repair bill includes a miscellaneous charge of $35.

When you add up all these costs, it comes to a total of $58,173 to fix the Urus. With sales tax included, the grand total reaches $62,027. This is a significant amount of money, especially considering that it’s enough to buy a 2024 BMW M2, which is a completely different car. It’s worth noting that the Urus shares its mechanical underpinnings with the more affordable Audi RS Q8.

Although the rental company offered the driver a replacement vehicle, he has chosen to wait until the Urus is repaired since the accident was not his fault, and he is paying for the entire month.

First Lamborghini EV to be unveiled as a concept next week

In a recent exclusive interview with Autocar, Lamborghini has shared details about its first electric vehicle (EV), which will be revealed in concept form next week. This announcement supports Lamborghini’s previously stated plan for electrification, which was announced in 2021.

The EV, known as Direzione Cor Tauri, takes its name from the Latin term for a bull’s heart and the brightest star in the Taurus constellation. Lamborghini’s electrification plan outlines a three-step strategy.

The initial stage of the plan involved creating pure internal combustion engine (ICE) specials, which concluded last year. This was followed by the launch of Lamborghini’s first plug-in hybrid, the Revuelto, which has already sold out until 2026.

By the end of 2024, all three of Lamborghini’s current models – the Aventador, Huracán, and Urus – will be available as plug-in hybrids.

The introduction of these plug-in hybrids will help Lamborghini reduce its official carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions by half of the 2022 levels by 2025. The company’s two EVs planned for release after 2024 will further contribute to a significant reduction in emissions.

Lamborghini’s CEO, Stephan Winkelmann, emphasized that customer perceptions have shifted with regards to electrification. Customers are now more aware of environmental regulations and interested in sustainable technologies that also enhance performance. The success and acceptance of Lamborghini’s hybridization phase have paved the way for a new breed of customers to consider full electrification.

Now, we must navigate the company through this revolutionary transition phase, from internal combustion engine cars to plug-in hybrids, and potentially, to fully electric cars, considering all the opportunities and challenges. Being part of this journey brings immense pressure and responsibility.”

1-of-19 2021 Lamborghini Sián Roadster In Grigio Lynx For Sale

In the world of rare and exclusive Lamborghinis, the limited-production Sián Roadster stands out as a pinnacle hypercar for the Italian supercar manufacturer. Assembled and allocated in extremely limited quantity, Lamborghini produced a total of 63 Sián Coupes and only 19 Sián Roadsters. While spotting one of the multi-million dollar hypercars proves to be a difficult task in itself, the opportunity to purchase a Lamborghini Sián Roadster is even rarer. Today, we are proud to showcase this incredible 1-of-19 2021 Lamborghini Sián Roadster as one of the many supercars and hypercars currently for sale on duPont REGISTRY.

Not only does this example hold significance as one of very few ever made, but it also is documented as the first Lamborghini Sián Roadster delivered to the United States. The exterior of this configuration features Lamborghini’s stealthy Grigio Lynx finish with vibrant Rosso Efesto accents. Along with pinstripes that highlight the Sián Roadster’s shape, the bright red shade also displays a fade effect on the rear engine cover. Tons of exposed gloss carbon fiber demonstrate Lamborghini’s focus on engineering the Sián to be lightweight and aerodynamic.

Inside, the Lamborghini Sián Roadster’s interior perfectly mirrors the design of its exterior. Black Alcantara and red leather layer the driver-focused cockpit, covering everything from the carbon sports bucket seats to its center console. Responsible for generating over 773 horsepower and 532 lb-ft of torque, Lamborghini equipped the Sián Roadster with an electrically-assisted 6.5L naturally-aspirated V12 engine. Listen To Lamborghini Revuelto’s V12 Engine For Five Minutes In This Video

The Revuelto is Lamborghini’s newest flagship supercar, offering incredible performance, a stunning design, and an exhilarating driving experience. It was introduced this year as the successor to the Aventador and is powered by a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V-12 engine combined with three electric motors, delivering a total of 1,001 horsepower. While the hybrid powertrain’s power output is impressive, it’s the sound of the V12 engine that truly captures the spirit.

This video on Varryx’s YouTube channel provides five minutes of pure sound from the V12 engine of the Lamborghini Revuelto. Whether it’s burbling at low speeds, percolating at idle, or ripping through the Nurburgring, its throaty baritone sound is distinct and characteristic of Lamborghini’s heritage from Sant’Agata Bolognese.

The Revuelto’s aggressive wedge-shaped bodywork harkens back to the angular shape of the Aventador and the twin grille front end of the Murcielago. Its low-slung, aerodynamic profile and scissor doors make it unmistakably Lamborghini and guarantee attention wherever it is parked. It’s a car meant to be seen, starting a parade wherever it goes.

However, it’s the engine that truly defines this car. Positioned mid-ship, the heart of the Revuelto is a 12-cylinder beast that roars up to a redline of 9,500 rpm. Paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, Lamborghini claims it can go from 0 to 60 mph in under 2.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 217 mph, given enough runway.

Unlike earlier Lamborghini models like the original Countach and its Diablo successor, the Revuelto offers a more luxurious driving experience. It has a larger, more comfortable interior than the Aventador, with some space behind the seats and a frunk large enough for a week’s worth of luggage. Keeping up with current trends, it features an infotainment touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The dashboard is fully digital and even includes a display in front of the passenger for speed and other performance metrics.

Like all Lamborghinis, the Revuelto is named after a famous fighting bull, in this case, a particularly feisty Spanish bull from 1880. It’s a fitting name for Lamborghini’s latest supercar, which is expected to be available by the end of this year.
