This beast has been displaying up briefly on-line over the previous few weeks and a brand new quick video on YouTube lastly provides us a better take a look at the venture. It’s a closely modified Urus with three axles and 6 wheels. The weirdest half is that there’s no open cargo mattress like a truck however a totally enclosed space with a rear hatch. The construct seems to be virtually utterly completed at this level, except for a couple of seen touches that might most likely be painted.

But that’s not simply an elongated Urus with six wheels. Many exterior parts are unique to the SUV, together with that brutal rear diffuser, the extra lip spoiler on the roof, and the prolonged wheel arches. Those wheels aren’t inventory both.

The huge query right here is: Who constructed it? Credits go to an organization known as South Florida Jeeps, which is answerable for the six-wheeled behemoth. But the time as come for the Urus to display its versatility much more by reporting for police obligation.

It’s the sixth car loaned by Lamborghini to the Italian police pressure and this one is predicated on the warmer Performante model. Rental Lamborghini Urus Sideswiped After Two Hours Costs $62,000 To Fix

The Lamborghini Urus is a highly sought-after car, but its steep price tag makes it inaccessible for most people. Priced at over $200,000, this “Super SUV” is usually reserved for the wealthy elite. However, if you want to experience its 641 horsepower and take your friends for a spin, renting one is your only option.

Unfortunately, rental company Gotham Dream Cars had their Urus sidelined after just two hours of renting it out. The vehicle, which had only done 5,000 miles, was sideswiped while waiting at a red light. Now, it’s waiting for replacement parts to get back on the road. Despite being the most common Lamborghini car with 20,000 units produced by mid-2022, finding replacement parts for the Urus has proven to be a challenge.

2022 Lamborghini Urus repair costs

The CEO of Gotham Dream Cars, Rob Ferretti, explained that finding replacement passenger-side doors and a side mirror has been difficult. The goal was to get the Urus back on the road within a week, but two weeks later, they are still waiting for the replacement panels to arrive.

The cost of the parts alone adds up to $36,292, with an additional $9,487 for body labor. On top of that, there is a paint labor cost of $6,987 and a paint cost of $4,192. Work done on the frame amounts to $1,050, and there’s an extra $128 for “body supplies.” Interestingly, the repair bill includes a miscellaneous charge of $35.

When you add up all these costs, it comes to a total of $58,173 to fix the Urus. With sales tax included, the grand total reaches $62,027. This is a significant amount of money, especially considering that it’s enough to buy a 2024 BMW M2, which is a completely different car. It’s worth noting that the Urus shares its mechanical underpinnings with the more affordable Audi RS Q8.

Although the rental company offered the driver a replacement vehicle, he has chosen to wait until the Urus is repaired since the accident was not his fault, and he is paying for the entire month.

Motorcycle Crash Prevention Tech Promises Riders And Drivers A Sixth Sense For Safety

Ducati’s V2V technology, tested with a Lamborghini Urus and Ducati Multistrada, aims to address three critical and dangerous types of motorcycle accidents by providing drivers and riders with enhanced situational awareness and response time. The technology acts as a digital sixth sense, offering important safety signals in scenarios where visibility is limited or obstructed.

One scenario is Intersection Movement Assist (IMA), where both a motorcycle and a car approach a busy intersection from different roads. The V2V tech alerts the car’s driver of the approaching motorcycle, prompting them to proceed with caution. Similarly, the Left Turn Assist (LTA) feature involves a car turning left at an intersection, with the motorcyclist receiving a warning signal when the driver activates their turn signal.

The third scenario, Do Not Pass Warning (DNPW), occurs when a motorcycle attempts to overtake a larger vehicle while a car ahead plans to make a left turn. The system sends a warning to the motorcyclist when both the motorist and the motorcyclist activate their blinkers before turning.

Although still in the prototype stage, Ducati’s V2V technology has the potential to prevent numerous accidents and save lives. Lamborghini and Ducati have released a joint video showcasing the importance of this safety technology, which can be viewed on Lamborghini’s YouTube channel and website.

Lamborghini Urus To Become Hybrid-Only Starting 2024

Lamborghini is planning to introduce a plug-in hybrid version of the Urus SUV in 2024, replacing the current models.
