Grinch Steals Christmas Tree From Man Named Jesus In Broad Daylight

This time of the yr is meant to be about giving, not taking. But it seems not everybody received the message. Security digicam footage out of San Mateo, California captures the second when somebody stole one household’s Christmas tree from the roof of their car in broad daylight, and it is all a bit unusual to look at.

The video reveals somebody driving an Infiniti QX80  previous the tree-carrying Honda CR-V earlier than reversing and parking within the spot beside it. The driver will get out of the SUV, walks over to the Honda, and snips the tie-downs that secured the tree earlier than returning to the Infiniti.

The driver waits a number of seconds earlier than exiting once more, opening the Infiniti’s liftgate. They then yank the tree off the roof of the opposite automobile, rapidly stuffing it behind their car. The driver struggles to shut the hatch, slamming it a couple of instances earlier than it is secured. They hop again contained in the QX80, rapidly driving from the scene with what seems to be a little bit of the tree hanging out of the again.

According to the native ABC 7 News affiliate, the incident occurred Friday night whereas the sufferer, a person named Jesus, ran an errand inside a neighborhood enterprise. The San Mateo Police Department instructed the information outlet that it hasn’t recognized the suspected tree thief. NBC Bay Area reported that the sufferer declined to file a police report.

The entire incident is bizarre. The driver’s thievery took a number of minutes to finish, but nobody appeared to note. It’s a brazen theft for one thing as low cost as a Christmas tree, and we’re left asking why somebody would steal it within the first place.

The police division instructed ABC 7 that the incident is “unique,” and we’re questioning if there’s extra to the story. In this point in time, something may very well be a stunt for views and likes, but when that had been the case right here, we might name this a failure.

Motor1 left a message with the San Mateo Police Department searching for extra details about the incident. The household acquired a alternative tree.

Here’s Everything That Was Changed On The 2025 Toyota Camry

Toyota just revealed the 2025 Toyota Camry, giving us a look at what to expect from the ninth generation of America’s best-selling sedan. The Camry is now hybrid-only, with no V6 option available. There are also redesigned looks, a re-engineered suspension system, and an all-new interior. Here’s a full rundown of what’s been changed.

Exterior Design

2025 Toyota Camry

Although the looks are new, Toyota confirmed to Motor1 that the Camry rides on the same TNGA-K platform as before. As such, we’d consider this a major refresh rather than an all-new vehicle. This is especially evident when you compare the side profiles, as they look nearly identical. Designers did well to differentiate the two cars in other ways though, like the new front fascia. It uses Toyota’s signature “hammerhead” shape and thin daytime-running lights, bringing it more in line with other cars in the lineup like the Crown and the Prius. Two new color combinations have been added to the option sheet.

Drivetrain

2025 Toyota Camry

The three existing powertrains in the last-gen Camry have been scrapped for a new four-cylinder hybrid system. Under the hood, you’ll find a 2.5-liter naturally aspirated inline-four paired to two electric motors and a lithium-ion battery pack. Toyota says the system can make 225 hp combined, or 232 hp when optioned with all-wheel drive.

While buyers won’t have a choice of engine, they will have a choice of ride setup. Toyota says it’s heavily revised the suspension for “enhanced responsiveness and agile handling.” There are new shocks and specific sport-tuned setups for available sportier trims, allowing for even more stability and handling prowess.

Interior Design

2025 Toyota Camry

The 2025 Toyota Camry’s interior is where you’ll find the biggest changes. The dashboard and center console have been fully revamped, with a standard seven-inch digital gauge cluster for LE and SE models and a bigger 12.3-inch cluster for XLE and XSE trims. There’s a standard eight-inch touchscreen for the infotainment, with a bigger 12.3-inch screen available. Features like wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, and wireless phone charging come standard.

There are a variety of options available, such as a 10-inch head-up display, a JBL sound system, in-car WiFi, and a digital key feature that allows you to use your smartphone to unlock and start the vehicle. Higher trims like the XLE and XSE get front-side laminated glass to reduce wind and vibration noise.

Safety

2025 Toyota Camry

The 2025 Toyota Camry comes standard with a slew of new safety systems, including Toyota’s Safety Sense 3.0. There’s a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, full-speed dynamic radar cruise control, lane departure alert with steering assist, lane tracing assist, road sign assist, automatic high beams, and proactive driving assist, which uses the camera and radar to “provide gentle braking and/or steering to support driving tasks such as distance control between your vehicle and a preceding vehicle, pedestrian, or bicyclist.”

Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alerts also come standard on the Camry. Go for the Premium Plus package on XLE or XSE trim, and you get traffic jam assist, front cross-traffic alerts, lane change assist, a panoramic view monitor, and front and rear parking assist with automatic braking.

Therefore, even though the 2025 Camry isn’t entirely “all new,” it’s quite an extensive refresh.

The Nissan Z Gets a More Aggressive Look With a Widebody Kit

Liberty Walk, a Japanese body kit maker known for its flamboyant style, has applied its expertise to the latest Nissan Z. The result is a visually striking and eye-catching appearance.

The Liberty Walk body kit consists of six pieces. At the front, there’s a new bumper and fascia that give the tuned car a sharper and more pointed nose. The open portion of the bumper now extends across the vehicle’s entire width, adding to its aggressive look. The hood has also been redesigned with vented portions near the A-pillars, further enhancing the car’s aesthetics compared to the standard Z model.

One of Liberty Walk’s signature features is widened fenders, and they are present on this Z as well. The fenders have exposed fasteners where they attach to the vehicle, and the ones at the rear taper inward along the back edge, allowing a glimpse of the tires.

At the rear, the body kit includes a three-piece spoiler that adds a more aggressive touch to the tail of the Nissan Z. The revised bumper features a simulated diffuser between the exhaust outlets, completing the sporty look.

In addition to the body kit, Liberty Walk has added some extra aesthetic upgrades to this Z. The car sits on eight-spoke wheels with a gunmetal finish, reminiscent of the classic Minilite design. The exhaust pipes are wider in diameter and have a blue hue at the tips. Inside, the car is fitted with Bride sport seats.

Toyota Supra May Use BMW M2 Engine to Revive GRMN Badge

In order to improve cooling and maintain consistent performance during intense use, such as on a race track, the brake discs of the Toyota Supra have been drilled.

There is speculation that the car is being fine-tuned at the Nordschleife, which suggests that Toyota may revive its GRMN nameplate for a hot new Supra. GRMN stands for ‘Gazoo Racing, tuned by the Meister of the Nürburgring’.

So far, the GRMN badge has only been used in Europe for a supercharged version of the previous-generation Yaris. The introduction of the new Supra follows Toyota CEO Koji Sato’s hint that the GR performance division will continue to play a crucial role in the company’s strategy.

Sato mentioned, “The Gazoo brand will be acknowledged for the future – and maybe we can even speed it up.” He also indicated that Akio Toyoda, the former CEO and an avid racer who now serves as the chairman of the company, will heavily contribute to the development of new GR products.

Sato added, “Our ‘Master Driver’ [Toyoda] was also the president of the company while he had a steering wheel in his hand for Gazoo. Now that he is only chairman, perhaps he will have more time to develop cars for them?” The Supra GRMN may be launched alongside a mid-life facelift for the standard model.

Mazda Miata Owner Regrets Choosing Retractable Hardtop

Mazda introduced the Miata RF in late 2016, offering a retractable hardtop option for the fourth-generation roadster. However, a 2023 model owner of the Miata RF now regrets their decision and prefers the ragtop version.

Although the Miata RF has a solid roof, it is still considered a convertible for track-day purposes. This means that if the owner wishes to compete in their local time-attack series, they would need to install a roll bar. While retailers do offer roll bars, installing one interferes with the retractable functionality of the roof. As a result, once the roll bar is installed, the roof cannot be lowered, which is a feature the owner enjoys.

2024 Mazda2 And CX-3 Receive New, Larger Infotainment System in Japan

Mazda has finally decided to update the infotainment systems in its 2 and CX-3 models. Both the supermini and subcompact crossover will now come with a new 8.8-inch system that offers connected services. However, rather than being seamlessly integrated into the dashboard, the system is still presented as a tablet on top. This change applies to the 2024 models available in Japan, but there is hope that the update will be rolled out globally.

Compared to other Mazda models, the 2 and CX-3 were among the last to transition from the previous-generation infotainment setup. The old system can still be found in the 6 midsize sedan/wagon and the MX-5. There are rumors suggesting that the upcoming facelift (ND3) of the MX-5 sports car, which is rear-wheel-drive, will also feature an updated multimedia system, possibly the 8.8-inch display. However, these claims have not been confirmed yet.

Back to School: Toyota Supports Students in Need

To help students in need as the new school year starts, Toyota employees across the country are giving back.

For the second consecutive year, Toyota partnered with the Kids In Need Foundation (KINF) for the Big Summer Giveback. This national service and parts promotion allowed Toyota customers to donate $3 to KINF’s Supply a Student program during their August oil change appointment.

The program aims to provide school supplies to children in under-resourced elementary schools nationwide.

This year’s results:

  • 429 Toyota dealerships raised over $600,000.
  • 21 dealers donated $10,000 or more each.
  • More than 24,000 elementary students benefited from the initiative.

Dealers will personally deliver the donated backpacks filled with school supplies to students at an elementary school in their community.

“Toyota is delighted to announce our continued support of KINF for the second year of our Big Summer Giveback campaign,” said Mark Nazario, Vice President of Guest Experience and Retention at Toyota Motor North America. “Together, we are committed to empowering students in under-resourced schools nationwide, ensuring every child receives an equal opportunity to thrive in their classrooms.”

Toyota employees also volunteered over the summer to pack backpacks with school supplies during an event at the company’s headquarters in Plano.

Social Innovation and nonprofit organization Team IMPACT organized a June event where 76 volunteers packed 450 backpacks. These backpacks were then delivered in July to the Boys and Girls Club of Collin County.

In addition, in July, 17 employees stuffed over 300 backpacks at Community Partners of Dallas, an event also hosted by Social Innovation and Team IMPACT.
