“`html 8 Modified C8 Chevy Corvettes That Broke The Internet

Chevrolet introduced the first-ever production mid-engine Corvette in July 2019. The 2020 C8 leveled up Chevy’s Stingray from its iconic stature to what many call the “American Supercar”. From its exotic appearance to its track-bred technology and enhanced performance, the eighth-generation already rolls off the line as a neck-breaker.

Only four years into production, with limited numbers released due to COVID delays, supply chain shortages, and exorbitant dealer markups, the C8 remains a more exclusive and less-seen car on the road; but that hasn’t made mid-engine Corvette owners settle for a stock version, and mods to appearance and performance have popped up on the internet since they first were in the hands of buyers. Here are eight of the most modified C8 Corvettes that we’ve seen on the web, in no particular order.

8 The Michael Jordan Of Mid-Engine Corvettes Is Born

Standout Modification: C8 Tribute Honors the GOAT

Those that make the rounds at the Corvette meet, sanctioned shows and various clubs will most certainly come across the tribute ‘Vette. They aren’t extremely common, but they are out there. We’ve seen the Elvis Presley-inspired Corvette complete with a mural and dancing mini-Elvis, the Bruce Lee, also adorned with a mural and a spinning dragon, as well as the Marilyn Monroe ‘Vette that featured the iconic celeb’s portrait spread over and under the front hood.

So, if greatness is the inspiration for tribute Corvettes, we’d only have to expect a Michael Jordan C8 would come to life and here it is. This 2022 Chevy Corvette honors the Goat’s most notable revenue stream – the Air Jordan – the shoe that changed history for athletes, Nike, the consumer, and Michael Jordan, himself, who according to a Forbes accounting, by 2020 had earned north of $1.3 billion throughout his endorsement deal, originally signed in 1984. If you didn’t catch that, the dollar amount started with a B and was definitely worthy of a tribute.

The MJ ‘Vette featuring a wrap that imitates the legendary shoe comes from Redline Design out of Florida. It is dressed in a stitched leather-look upper in the familiar red, white, and black. The C8’s frunk intros the sneaker’s approximation with faux air vents on the replicated toe cap and even those that don’t hoop will be quick to recognize the silhouette of the infamous Jordan Jumpman, sprawled across the hood. The quintessential Swoosh starts near the high tail wing, extending past the boomerang to mid-door.

The vertical doors open to expose a color-matched, red and black interior and sills that feature Jordan’s distinctive elephant print in gray and black. Although His Airness sported multiple numbers in his playing career, his most emblematic – #23 – is displayed on the sides of the wing. Even more, details can be found on closer inspection and underline the fact that a wrap can be any ride’s total difference-maker if you believe, like Redline Design does – #PaintIsDead.

Standout Modification: 8th-Gen Mid-Engine Widens Body, Adds McLaren-esque Exhaust

The extended girth was only the beginning, as the exotic feel ran much deeper with the backend mods. A McLaren-inspired exhaust fully transforms the C8 rear end as the tips exit was raised to flank each side of the rear plate, penetrating the body just under the tail lights and below the added high wing spoiler. A Forgiato performance wheel makeover puts the shoes on this Cinderella, while a VIAR Air Ride suspension slams the C8, and Lambo-style scissors doors with hinges by Vertical Doors, Inc. transform the side profile. Honda Drinks Deeply From Its Own Design History For New CB350

Back in 2020, Honda India finally revealed its latest middleweight retro modern classic-look bike, the H’Ness CB350. At the time, onlookers from all over the globe took note of two things. One, it looked like Honda clearly wanted to challenge Royal Enfield on its own turf. Two, its design sense looked awfully good.

Because motorcycle manufacturers have a tendency to introduce new models in one place before going on to roll them out in other markets, the moto-Internet instantly began to wonder if the H’Ness CB350 would find its way overseas. Eventually, it made its way to Japan as the GB350.

Fast-forward to 2023, and the H’Ness CB350 has been popular enough in its home market to get new colors and aesthetic tweaks, as well as special versions like the Legacy Edition. Still, if Honda’s decades of making motorcycles has shown us anything, it’s that there’s more than one way to do retro styling with mass appeal.

Enter the new Honda CB350, introduced by Honda Big Wing India (that’s Honda India’s premium motorcycle division) on November 17, 2023. Don’t worry, the H’Ness CB350 is very much still a thing. It’s just that the CB350, with a much different take on the classic middleweight thumper engine, is now ready to roll alongside it.

Big metal fenders? Check. Color-matched metal fork covers? Check. Long pipe? Check. Split saddle? Check and check. The retro styling elements are strong, and can be strengthened even further if you add optional accessories like windscreens and saddlebags.

The tagline for this bike, “Bold Alone Bolder Together,” is printed in a font that closely resembles the one used on posters for the James Bond movie No Time to Die. Interestingly, the style choices made on the original H’Ness CB350 more closely resemble the old-school British look the mind usually gravitates toward when contemplating the world’s most famous secret agent. But I digress.

The Specs

Honda CB350 - Studio - Right Side

The 2023 Honda CB350 is powered by an air-cooled, 348.36cc single-cylinder engine. It makes a claimed 15.5 kilowatts (about 20.7 horsepower) at 5,500 rpm and 29.4 newton-meters (about 21.6 pound-feet) of torque at 3,000 rpm. This engine has a slip and assist clutch, and is mated to a five-speed gearbox.

It has a diamond-type frame, a nonadjustable telescopic front fork, and a hydraulic twin shock setup in the rear. The CB350 has single disc brakes and ABS at both ends. It gets a 310mm disc up front and a 240mm disc in the rear. Additionally, it rolls on a 19-inch front and an 18-inch rear wheel.

Dimensions

Wheelbase is 1,441mm (about 56.7 inches). Length is 2,207mm (about 86.9 inches), width is 788mm (about 31 inches), and height is 1,110mm (about 43.7 inches). Ground clearance is 165mm (about 6.5 inches). Seat height is 800mm (about 31.5 inches). Curb weight is 187 kilograms, or about 412 pounds. The fuel tank can hold 15.2 liters.

Other Features

Honda CB350 - Parked 4

Honda equipped the CB350 with LED lighting all around, as well as an emergency stop signal feature that flashes the taillight if a rider brakes hard. This should help to alert drivers around you that you have come to a sudden stop.

You’ll also find a digital-analogue instrument cluster up front, which offers smartphone connectivity using the Honda Smartphone Voice Control system on the CB350 DLX Pro model. Honda Selectable Torque Control also comes standard on both trim levels of CB350.

Notably, Honda India is also equipping the CB350 with its recently-introduced 10-year warranty. That’s three years standard, with the option to purchase a warranty extension for an additional seven years.

Colors, Price and Availability

Honda CB350 - Riding 2

At launch, the Honda CB350 will come in five colors: Precious Red Metallic, Pearl Igneous Black, Matte Crust Metallic, Matte Marshal Green Metallic, and Matte Dune Brown.

Honda India is accepting preorders for the new CB350 at its Big Wing dealerships across India as of November 17, 2023. According to the firm, it should be rolling into dealerships there soon.

The base Honda CB350 DLX starts at Rs. 199,900 (about $2,401) and the DLX Pro (which comes with Honda Smartphone Voice Control) starts at Rs. 217,800 (about $2,616).

Will the new Honda CB350 eventually find its way to other markets? That’s not clear at this point. Since the original H’Ness CB350 went on to become the GB350 in Japan, it certainly seems possible that the CB350 could follow in its wheel tracks in the future. That’s pure speculation on our part, however. Given the existence of bikes like the Suzuki SW1 as a Japan-only model, it certainly doesn’t seem impossible.

How To Master The iPhone’s ProRAW Feature: A Step-By-Step Guide

Introduced to the iPhone in late 2020 as part of iOS 14.3 and available for the iPhone 12 Pro and its successors, Apple ProRAW is a photo format that combines the uncompressed image data of the RAW format with the ease of photo editing typical of iOS devices. This feature allows you to capture high-quality photos with your iPhone and make various adjustments such as exposure, white balance, and color correction.

However, it’s important to note that ProRAW isn’t compatible with Live Photos, Portrait Mode, or videos. If you use your iPhone mainly for casual photography, social media posts, or documenting trips where high resolution isn’t a priority, this feature may not be necessary for you.

Setting up ProRAW on your iPhone

To enable ProRAW on your Pro model iPhone, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Settings app and select the Camera option.
  2. Tap Formats, then in the Photo Capture section tap the toggle next to Apple ProRAW to turn it on (the toggle will turn green).
  3. Once turned on, you can switch to the ProRaw format from the Camera app by tapping the RAW icon in the top-right corner. A diagonal line through the icon means it’s turned off, no line means it’s turned on.
  4. On an iPhone 14 Pro or newer model, open Settings and choose Camera, then select Formats and toggle on Apple ProRAW to reveal resolution options, then tap ProRAW Resolution to choose between 12MP and 48MP.

It’s important to keep in mind that Apple ProRAW images require more storage space compared to non-RAW formats, averaging about 25 MB per 12MP photo and around 75 MB at 48MP. So, managing your photos and available storage space is vital.

Making use of ProRaw images

Despite being labeled as “Apple ProRAW,” the files are compatible with photo viewing and editing apps and software that support the .DNG file format.

  1. To share the original ProRAW .DNG file after it’s been edited in the Photos app (which would normally export as a .JPG), select the photo and tap the three dots (…) in the top-right corner.
  2. Select Revert to Original to undo your previous changes, then share via AirDrop as usual.
  3. Alternatively, if you want to keep your changes but still send the original file, tap the three dots (…) and select Duplicate, then select the duplicate photo and tap the three dots (…) followed by Revert to Original.
  4. To share the unmodified ProRAW file from macOS, select the photo in the Photos app on your Mac.
  5. Select File, then Export, and click on Export Unmodified Original to share the .DNG file.

It’s worth noting that if an app doesn’t explicitly support Apple ProRAW, the image may not look the same when loaded. Edited ProRAW images will export as .JPG files, making them more universally shareable after adjustments are made.
