Audi RS6 E-Tron Spotted Testing with Side Cameras for the First Time

New spy shots of the Audi RS6 E-Tron electric performance sedan reveal the use of cameras on the A-pillars instead of traditional mirrors. The inclusion of these cameras on the test vehicle suggests that Audi may offer this technology on the production version of the car.

The front end showcases a trapezoidal opening in the lower fascia, along with vertical air curtains on the outer edges. The headlights are divided, with the running lights positioned at the tip of the hood. Overall, the car’s front end appears sleek and streamlined.

Fiat Introduces Colorful Options, Drops Gray Cars

In 2022, more than 65 percent of new cars sold in the United States were white, black, or gray. Gray cars, in particular, accounted for just over 18 percent of total sales. And now, Fiat is planning to add a new color option to its palette.

2024 Kia Sorento Facelift Rendered After Recent Spy Video

Development work on the updated Kia Sorento is still ongoing. A recent spy video showed the South Korean SUV undergoing pre-production tests in Michigan, with full-body camouflage and Michigan registration plates. The automaker seems to be taking its time with the development, so we shouldn’t expect to see the official debut until the end of this year. However, you don’t have to wait for the premiere to get a glimpse of what the 2024 Sorento will look like.

Gotcha Cars has kindly shared an exclusive gallery with us, featuring renderings of the revamped Sorento. While the earlier spy photos didn’t reveal much, the renderings clearly show a completely redesigned front end. It features a new radiator grille, vertical headlights, and a new arrangement of LED daytime running lights (DRLs). There are also noticeable changes to the lower section of the bumper and the lower grille.

Volkswagen Confirms the Beetle Will Not Make a Comeback

Speculations about the resurrection of the iconic Volkswagen Beetle in the form of an electric vehicle have been circulating for years. However, the German automaker has officially declared that there are no plans to revive the Beetle. In an interview with Autocar, Volkswagen CEO Thomas Schafer explained that the decision is primarily driven by marketing considerations.

During the pre-production test drives of the third-generation Tiguan, Schafer confirmed that an electric Beetle is not currently being considered. He clarified that it is not due to a lack of resources, finances, or time, but rather because it does not align with Volkswagen’s marketing strategy. When asked about the possibility of the Beetle returning for the modern era, Schafer stated:

“I don’t think so, because there are certain vehicles that have had their day. It wouldn’t make sense to bring it back. I wouldn’t say with 100 percent certainty. But from where I stand now, I wouldn’t consider it. It’s the same as Scirocco: it had its day, then there was a new model based on a reinterpretation. To do that again? I don’t think so. And going forward with balancing all these technologies and the cost that is associated with it, you’ve got to invest money in the best possible place.”
