Opel, following the footsteps of other automobile manufacturers, has revealed its new logo as the industry shifts toward electric vehicles. The updated emblem, featuring a lightning bolt known as “Blitz” in German, will start appearing on Opel’s production cars from next year. The rest of Opel’s lineup will be gradually updated with the new logo over the next few years.
By adopting the lightning bolt badge, Opel aims to align its brand with the theme of electricity. The company has set a target to become a fully electric brand in Europe by 2028 and intends to offer 15 electrified models in its portfolio this year, as stated by Opel CEO Florian Huettl.
