A Revamped Look

Tata has thoroughly tweaked the design of the Harrier while still keeping it recognisable. It now comes with a connected DRL setup, a new sleeker grille, vertically stacked LED headlights and a redesigned bumper and skid plate at the front.

2023 Tata Harrier Facelift Side

The side profile hasn’t witnessed a lot of changes but Tata has added new 18-inch alloy wheels (19-inches for the Dark variant) and a “Harrier” badging on the front doors.

Just like the front, the rear also has a connected light setup with Z-shaped LED tail lights. The rear profile also gets sleek reflector panels on the sides and a redesigned bumper. With this facelift, you also get three new colour options: Seaweed Green, Ash Grey and Sunlit Yellow.

2023 Tata Harrier Facelift Cabin

The cabin of the Tata Harrier facelift has also been redesigned. It has a layered dashboard with a curved design at the bottom. The dashboard houses a bigger touchscreen, a new 4-spoke steering wheel with a backlit Tata logo, and the centre console has a touch-based AC panel. Depending on the variant, you also get cabin inserts that are colour-matched to the exterior.

No Change Under The Hood. Yet.

The new Tata Harrier comes with the same 2-litre diesel engine as before. It churns out 170PS/350Nm and gets the option of a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission (with paddle shifters). The new Harrier will also get Tata’s new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine in due course, sometime in 2024.

More Features

Tata Harrier facelift touchscreen

Tata has added a lot of new features to the facelifted Harrier, including a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, dual-zone climate control with a touch-based AC panel, 10-speaker JBL sound system, and a powered tail gate.

Features like ventilated front seats, wireless phone charger and a powered driver seat with memory function have been retained from the last iteration. It already came with drive modes and terrain modes, but now the dial for the latter also gets a display for a more premium user experience.

Tata Harrier facelift airbags

Tata has also improved the safety of the Harrier with up to 7 airbags and adaptive cruise control added to the ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) suite. The rest of the safety features are the same like ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC), tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), 360-degree camera, lane departure warning, blind spot detection and auto emergency braking.

Here’s A Detailed Look At The Honda Elevate SV Base Variant

In these 10 images, you can get a clear idea about the entry-level variant of the new Honda SUV

The Honda Elevate was recently launched with prices ranging from Rs 11 lakh to Rs 16 lakh (ex-showroom). It can be opted in four variants – SV, V, VX, and ZX. While we’ve already seen the top-end ZX variant in our review and the mid-spec V variant, here’s a detailed look at the base-spec SV variant.

Honda Elevate SV Variant

From the front, the base variant of the Honda Elevate looks almost identical to the top-end variant, thanks to the LED projector headlamps, LED DRLs, and the large grille with chrome heading. The only thing missing compared to the top-end are LED front fog lamps and a gloss black finish for the grille.

Honda Elevate SV Variant

Move to the side, and the entry-level nature of the Elevate SV reveals itself. This gets 16-inch steel wheels without any covers. It still gets upmarket details like turn indicators on the ORVMs. Compared to the higher variants, it also skips out on chrome door handles and garnish for the roof rails.

Honda Elevate SV Variant

The rear profile also looks similar to the top-end variant, thanks to the connected LED tail lamps. Rear wiper and washer are additionally offered from the VX variant.

Honda Elevate SV Variant

Step inside the cabin and the first thing to notice is the missing touchscreen infotainment system. From the next V variant, you get the convenience of an 8-inch infotainment while the premium 10.25-inch unit is limited to the top-spec variant. However, this design does allow buyers to find an aftermarket unit without affecting the dashboard design from Honda.

Honda Elevate Mid-spec V Variant Detailed In 6 Images

The mid-spec V trim of the Honda Elevate is also the entry-level automatic variant of the compact SUV

Honda Elevate

The Honda Elevate is all set to enter the battle of compact SUVs, and its bookings are already underway for Rs 5,000. The automaker will announce the prices on September 4. Ahead of that, the units have already arrived at Honda dealerships.

Though the Elevate will be available in four broad trims, in this story, we have detailed the one-above-base V trim of the Elevate in six pictures.

Honda Elevate

Let’s begin with the fascia. This mid-spec V variant features LED headlights connected by a chrome bar. While it does have the same imposing grille as the top-end variant, it doesn’t get fog lamps. That said, there are no other alterations to the front of the SUV.

In profile, this particular variant of the Elevate doesn’t feature alloy wheels, instead sitting on 16-inch steel wheels with plastic covers. Another noticeable omission are the roof rails. Nonetheless, it still gets ORVM-mounted turn indicators and body-colored door handles. In contrast, the top-spec Elevate variant boasts chrome door handles and dual-tone colourways.

Honda Elevate

From the rear, the V variant of the Elevate comes with LED tail lamps and a shark fin antenna, but no rear wiper.

Honda Elevate

In contrast to the brown interior of the top-spec Elevate, the V variant of the Honda SUV features a black and beige theme. It is equipped with an 8-inch touchscreen system, which is smaller than the unit offered within the higher-specced variants. Nevertheless, it still supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as well as connected car tech. This variant also gets a more basic analogue instrument cluster with a small MID in the centre, as opposed to the 7-inch semi-digital driver’s display found on the higher-end variants.

Other features on board include automatic AC with rear AC vents, steering-mounted audio controls, dual airbags, and a rearview camera. Features like the single-pane sunroof, wireless charger and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) are all limited to the higher-end models.

Powertrain Check

The Honda Elevate gets the City’s 1.5-litre petrol engine – making 121PS and 145Nm – which comes mated to either a 6-speed manual or a CVT. Its claimed fuel efficiency is 15.31kmpl for the manual, and 16.92kmpl for the CVT.

Expected Price

So these are the six foremost details of the Honda Elevate mid-spec V variant. Its ex-showroom prices are expected to start from Rs 11 lakh, and it will compete with the likes of the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos.

Tata EVs Cross 100,000 Sales – Nexon EV, Tiago EV, and Tigor EV

More than half of those sales came from its electric sub-4m SUV

Tata EV 100,000 sales

The leading electric vehicle (EV) brand in India, Tata, has achieved a significant milestone by selling over 100,000 EVs. The Tata Nexon EV contributes to more than half of this sales figure. However, the Tata Tiago EV is expected to surpass it soon, while the Tigor EV remains a popular choice among fleet buyers. Let’s dive deeper into how Tata achieved this milestone:

Tata Nexon EVs

The Tata Nexon EV, a subcompact SUV, was Tata’s first all-electric offering in early 2020. By June 2023, it had crossed the 50,000 sales milestone. The Nexon EV is currently available in two versions – the Prime and the Max. The original Nexon EV Prime comes with a 30.2kWh battery pack, offering a range of up to 312km. The newer version, Nexon EV Max, has a larger battery pack and promises a range of up to 453km on a full charge.

Tata Tiago EV

Tata recently launched the Tiago EV electric hatchback, which is the newest and smallest addition to its EV lineup. It is also the most affordable EV Tata offers, with prices starting from Rs 8.69 lakh (ex-showroom). The Tiago EV comes with two battery options – 19.2kWh (250km range) and 24kWh (312km range). It received 20,000 bookings in the first couple of months, and over 10,000 units have already been delivered. The Tiago EV is on track to become Tata’s best-selling EV.

Tata Tigor EV

The Tigor EV may not be the highest-selling EV in Tata’s lineup, but it serves as the brand’s electric solution for fleet buyers. This subcompact electric sedan made its debut in 2021 and offers a claimed range of up to 315km with its 26kWh battery pack. Its fleet variant, called the Xpres-T, has a rated range of 277km.

Future Tata EVs

Tata Harrier EV

Tata not only dominates the EV market in India with its existing lineup but also has plans to sustain its dominance in the long run. The brand has confirmed the launch of the Punch EV, followed by new models based on fresh platforms. This includes the Harrier EV, Curvv EV, and an electric Tata Sierra, all set to arrive in 2024, and the Avinya, based on an EV-only platform, making its debut in 2025.
