The 100% electric version features a 400-volt electric motor, offering a worry-free range of up to 600 km according to WLTP standards for city driving. Additionally, its fast-charging capability provides a daily range boost of 30 kilometers in just three minutes.

The e-Hybrid version offers a seamless driving experience, incorporating electric and combustion engine technologies. The car’s performance is powered by a 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder combustion engine, a 48-volt lithium-ion battery, and an automatic 6-speed dual-clutch electric gearbox. The car is engineered for optimal fuel efficiency, resulting in a 15% reduction in CO2 emissions compared to conventional automatic transmission engines.

The gasoline version is equipped with a 1.2-litre petrol engine capable of developing a maximum power output of 100 horsepower at 5500 rpm, and torque of 205 Nm at 1750 rpm, with 6-speed manual gearbox.

Mazda Survey: Majority of Parents will Travel with Kids This Holiday Season, Biggest Concern is Carsick Kids

Mazda revealed that 85% of parents plan to travel with their children by car this holiday season, and their biggest worry is their kids getting carsick.

In a recent survey by Mazda North American Operations, it was found that an overwhelming 85% of parents or caregivers are planning to travel by car this year, especially those with three to four children, where the number rose to 93%.

Earlier in the year, Mazda introduced the 2024 CX-90, a premium three-row crossover designed to provide a connected driving experience and a smoother ride for families. The survey revealed that 61% of parents are worried about their children getting carsick during travel, with nearly half of the respondents (48%) having experienced this issue in the past.

To help parents address carsickness, Mazda has partnered with Dr. Mona Amin, an expert in pediatric care, to develop tips for preventing and treating carsickness while also highlighting features of the Mazda CX-90 that can help alleviate this issue.

Dr. Amin’s tips for treating and preventing carsickness include increasing airflow, looking at the horizon, and avoiding reading or looking at screens. Additionally, seating flexibility and convenience are important factors to consider on family road trips, with features of the CX-90 focusing on comfort and wellbeing of all passengers.

Bentley Bentayga Updates: Auto Climate Rear Seats, Sustainable Carpets

Bentley has revealed a range of improvements for its Bentayga luxury SUV, which is currently in its second generation. While that statement is not entirely accurate – as the model was initially launched in 2015 and facelifted in 2020 – the Bentayga will soon offer an expanded selection of exterior customization options, new cabin features, and enhanced safety systems.

One notable addition is the introduction of the all-wheel steering system, which enhances handling and maneuverability while reducing the turning circle. This feature now comes as standard on the Bentayga Azure and S models and can be optionally added to other models. However, one of the most impressive updates is the inclusion of the Airline Seat Specification. Previously, this feature was only available on the long wheelbase model and was recognized for its ability to adjust passenger posture and provide automatic seat climate control. Now, this system, which measures the passenger’s temperature and surface humidity every 25 milliseconds and adjusts the heat, ventilation, or both simultaneously, will be available on all Bentayga variants.

2025 Ford Ranger PHEV Debuts With Up To 28 Miles Of Electric Range

Ford has unveiled the new 2025 Ranger PHEV, the first-ever plug-in hybrid version of the popular Ranger truck. Production is set to begin later this year, with deliveries expected to start in early 2025. It’s worth noting that Ford has currently only provided details for the European market, with no information about a potential North American release.

The Ford Ranger is currently Europe’s best-selling truck, and Ford is expanding its lineup by introducing a 2.3-liter plug-in hybrid system. This system combines the power of a turbocharged four-cylinder engine with an electric motor and a small battery pack. Although specific power figures have not been disclosed, Ford claims that the Ranger PHEV will have more torque than any previous production model. While we don’t have the exact numbers, we can make some comparisons for context.

2024 NACTOY Candidates List Includes 10 Cars, 5 Trucks, 10 SUVs

The North American Car, Truck, and Utility Vehicle of the Year Awards (NACTOY) organization has revealed the list of candidates for the 2024 awards. These 25 vehicles have been recognized as the “Best of 2024” by NACTOY after a rigorous selection process. The announcement took place at a press conference during the Detroit Auto Show. The competition consists of 10 cars, 5 trucks, and 10 SUVs. Each NACTOY juror follows their own unique evaluation method for these vehicles. In October, the jurors will gather in Michigan for an annual comparison drive to determine the winners. The finalists will be announced in November in Los Angeles, and the winners will be revealed at a special event in Detroit in January 2024.
