The Ferrari Monza SP2, part of the Icona series of Ferraris, is a highly exclusive and rare creation from the Prancing Horse brand. It features a barchetta silhouette without a windshield, inspired by Ferrari’s classic race cars. Underneath its elegant design, it houses a powerful V12 engine that produces nearly 800 horsepower, offering a thrilling driving experience for any Cavallino connoisseur. One of the esteemed owners of this exceptional vehicle is Steven Victor, an artist and record executive known for his strong presence in the hip-hop universe.

5 Best Hidden Features of the Samsung Galaxy S23

The Samsung Galaxy S23 series is known for being one of the most powerful Android smartphones, especially for gamers. With the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and efficient fabrication technology, these phones can deliver peak performance for extended periods, perfect for gamers. However, one issue that gamers may face is a draining battery.

To address this, Samsung has introduced a new feature called Pause USB Power Delivery, specifically designed for gaming. This feature redirects the incoming power while charging directly to the phone’s CPU, bypassing the battery. Normally, when gamers plug in their phones while playing, the CPU and the battery heat up due to the workload. But with Pause USB Power Delivery enabled, the battery remains cool, resulting in improved performance.

  1. Open the Game Launcher app.
  2. Tap on “More” and select “Game Booster”.
  3. From the available options, enable “Pause USB Power Delivery”. This feature will work when your S23 is plugged in.

It’s worth mentioning that Pause USB Power Delivery is compatible not only with Samsung chargers but also with any USB-PD charger.

McLaren Artura Art Car Receives Unique Abstract Wrap by Contemporary Artist

The McLaren Artura, the automaker’s first hybrid supercar in series production, made its debut in February 2021. Adding to its allure, the vehicle has been transformed into an art car, featuring a one-of-a-kind custom wrap designed by Berlin-based artist Cevin Parker.

Parker, who is self-taught in contemporary abstract art, has created a vibrant and colorful wrap for the supercar. The design includes streaks and splashes of pink, yellow, and orange, enhancing the Artura’s distinctive fender intakes. Additionally, a captivating fade effect is applied, starting with a pastel purple at the front and gradually transitioning to a sunny yellow at the rear.

“Eight times five is 50”: Plant Dingolfing celebrates start of BMW i5 production during anniversary year

Dingolfing. The new BMW 5 Series, including the all-new fully-electric BMW i5, celebrated the official start of production today at BMW Group Plant Dingolfing, in the presence of Bavarian Minister-President Markus Söder. The site in Lower Bavaria, which is celebrating 50 years of BMW automotive production in 2023, has now ramped up its third fully-electric model in two years, following the BMW iX and BMW i7. Pure battery-electric vehicles’ share of total production at the BMW Group’s largest European manufacturing location is projected to increase to over 40 percent next year.

Milan Nedeljković, member of the Board of Management of BMW AG responsible for Production, explained in Dingolfing today: “The BMW i5 and our plant in Dingolfing are perfect examples of how the BMW Group is transforming itself for e-mobility and developing our plants on the road to the BMW iFACTORY. E-mobility is the new normal at our plants worldwide. Between 2021 and 2024, we will have integrated a total of 15 fully-electric vehicles into our production network.”

To achieve this, the BMW Group is relying on flexible architectures and offering most of its models to customers around the world with different drive train variants. The BMW 5 Series – like the BMW 7 Series and BMW X1 before it – will be available with a fully-electric drive train or internal combustion engine, or as a plug-in hybrid. This requires a high degree of flexibility, but allows the company to utilise its plants’ capacity efficiently and adjust its offering to customer demand. Nedeljković: “We are following the market. Customer requirements determine what the actual drive train mix looks like.” This has been made possible by extensive investments in the production network. The BMW Group has invested more than one billion euros in integrating the BMW iX, BMW 7 Series and BMW 5 Series at the Dingolfing vehicle plant.

As Dingolfing’s core model, BMW 5 Series injects new impetus

Over the next few years, Plant Director Christoph Schröder expects the launch of the new BMW 5 Series to boost the plant’s production numbers: “The BMW 5 Series has traditionally been Dingolfing’s core model and will provide valuable impetus for volumes again this time.” In 2022, more than 280,000 vehicles came off the assembly line at Plant Dingolfing. Over the coming year, with the start of production for the BMW 5 Series Touring and the eighth-generation BMW M5 models, Schröder expects that number to climb to well over 300,000 vehicles. Stefan Danner, Deputy Chairman of the Dingolfing Works Council, adds: “Along with the successful transition to e-mobility, the BMW 5 Series is central to long-term capacity utilisation at our plant, as well as securing jobs.”

50 years of BMW cars from Dingolfing

Of the roughly 12 million BMW vehicles built at the location to date, a total of eight million, i.e. two thirds, are BMW 5 Series models. This is closely tied to the history of Plant Dingolfing. Exactly 50 years ago, back in September 1973, the very first BMW car rolled off the production line at the new vehicle plant – a first-generation tangerine-coloured BMW 520i. Since then, the plant in Lower Bavaria has become one of the most prominent locations in the automotive industry – and an engine for economic development in the region. The annual wage bill for the more than 18,000 BMW employees in Dingolfing is over one billion euros, and the plant contracts with around 1,000 suppliers from Lower Bavaria. In addition to investing in the Dingolfing vehicle plant, the BMW Group has also channelled more than one billion euros into production of electric powertrain components at the location since 2015.

The vision of the BMW iFACTORY

As with the decision to build Plant Dingolfing during the oil crisis of the early 1970s, the entrepreneurial vision of the BMW Group is still very much in evidence at the site today. Thanks to extensive investment, Plant Dingolfing is extremely well equipped for the future – and the transition to the BMW iFACTORY is tangible. The best example of this development in the areas of “lean” and “digital” is winning the renowned Automotive Lean Production Award in 2022. The Technology Assembly was recognised for the rollout of intelligent camera systems for quality monitoring (AIQX), for example, as well as smart logistics solutions and the IT platform IPS-i for identification and localisation of objects. Last year, the plant also piloted Automated Driving In-Plant (AFW), deploying the new BMW 7 Series along routes between the assembly hall and the finish area. This is being rolled out on a larger scale with the launch of the new BMW 5 Series.

In the field of sustainability – the “green” aspect of the BMW iFACTORY – the site has stepped up its activities in different areas in recent years: from promoting biodiversity on plant grounds, to preventing and recycling waste so only around 600 grams of waste for disposal remain per vehicle produced, up to and including decarbonisation measures. In addition to sourcing green power, the location has also signed a far-reaching contract for the supply of locally-produced heat from regional biomass for heating purposes. This will meet around half the plant’s process hot water requirements from the middle of the decade onwards, reducing its CO2 emissions by 10-15% as a result.

Important decisions for the future

Nedeljković sees the recent investments in the transformation of Dingolfing and the other Bavarian plants as a firm commitment on the part of the BMW Group to Bavaria as a manufacturing location: “Nine out of ten BMW vehicles produced are sold to customers outside of Germany these days. Despite this, we still have more than half our employees here, especially in Bavaria – and, for all the internationalisation needed to achieve globally balanced growth, Bavaria remains an important pillar of the BMW Group and its production network.”

BMW M140i effortlessly reaches speeds of 155+ MPH on the Autobahn

The BMW 1 Series, specifically the second-generation F20 (five-door) and F21 (three-door), was in production from 2011 to 2019. This version was the brand’s most recent rear-wheel-drive hatchback and offered six-cylinder engine options. The M140i, which was introduced in 2016 during the facelift, remains a top-performing hot hatch even by today’s standards.

Interestingly, the latest third-generation 1 Series (F40) doesn’t offer a powertrain that matches the performance of the M140i. It’s worth noting that the M140i features BMW’s renowned B58 3.0-liter inline-six twin-turbo engine, delivering an impressive 335 horsepower (250 kilowatts) at 5,500 rpm and 369 pound-feet (500 Newton-meters) of torque between 1,520 and 4,500 rpm. In comparison, the most powerful third-gen model offers a 2.0-liter turbo engine with 302 hp (225 kW) and 332 lb-ft (450 Nm) of torque.

Sound in the Garden: Volkswagen partners with concert series at Neue Nationalgalerie in Berlin

The Volkswagen Group is pleased to support the concert series called “Sound in the Garden”. These events will take place in the Sculpture Garden of the Neue Nationalgalerie in Berlin. The series will run until September 2023 and includes four free concerts. This program extends the Volkswagen Group ART4ALL visitor program, which provides free access to exhibitions at Neue Nationalgalerie.

Yesterday, MARYAM.fyi, a German-Iranian musician, performed the first concert of the series. She presented her music, which is influenced by indie pop elements.

“Sound in the Garden” is part of the Volkswagen Group ART4ALL visitor program, developed in collaboration with Volkswagen and Nationalgalerie – Staatliche Museen zu Berlin. This program aims to make culture and the arts accessible to a large audience. Every Thursday between 4 and 8 p.m., visitors can enjoy free access to Neue Nationalgalerie’s exhibitions and collections.

This year’s edition of “Sound in the Garden” marks the return of this concert series. In 2022, museum director Klaus Biesenbach launched the live program, inspired by the “Jazz in the Garden” concerts held at Neue Nationalgalerie in the 1970s and 1980s. The current program is supported by Volkswagen Group Fellow Jorgina Stamogianni.

Klaus Biesenbach, Director of the Neue Nationalgalerie in Berlin, said, “With ‘Summer in the Garden,’ I would like to continue to create an inspiring concert culture in the sculpture gardens of the Neue Nationalgalerie Berlin and the Museum of Modern Art. The wonderful atmosphere at the opening event last night confirmed our purpose. With Volkswagen as our partner, we can offer free admission to this program, in line with the motto ‘Culture for All’.”

Benita von Maltzahn, Director Global Cultural Engagement at Volkswagen Group, said, “The Berlin home of Neue Nationalgalerie is a truly unique museum location. Since its reopening, it has become even more fascinating to explore the architecture and exhibitions. Through our partnership with Nationalgalerie – Staatliche Museen zu Berlin, we are committed to enabling the widest possible audience to engage with culture and the arts. Supporting the concerts in the Sculpture Garden allows guests to enjoy music and visit the museum for free as part of the Volkswagen Group ART4ALL program. We want even more people to feel welcome to experience modern art along with new sounds.”

The Volkswagen Group has a long-standing partnership with Nationalgalerie – Staatliche Museen zu Berlin, highlighting its commitment to being a trusted partner in cultural projects and institutions. Through this partnership, Volkswagen helps its partners reach a large audience with creative works and promotes the ideas and perspectives of a wide range of artists. Bringing art and people together fosters an open-minded and far-reaching exchange of views, which is crucial for meaningful discussions and mutual understanding in our society.

Next-Gen BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe Spotted for the First Time

The BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe, which is a compact sport sedan with an additional pair of doors, is getting a new generation. Recent spy shots show that development is underway, with production expected to start in late 2024.

One of the notable features at the front end is the unusual layout of BMW’s kidney grilles. Unlike the traditional design, this model has a smaller version of the grilles in the center of the nose, with two larger openings on each side. However, it’s worth noting that the white mesh used in the larger sections is likely not the final production-spec part.
