How Much is Nintendo’s ROB Worth Today?

The value of a ROB unit, similar to other retro gaming hardware, depends on its condition. If it is no longer in its packaging and has visible wear and tear, its worth will be less. However, if it is still in its original factory-sealed state, its value will be higher.

According to PriceCharting, a loose ROB unit can be sold for an average of $153, which is quite a decent amount for an old gaming peripheral. However, if it includes all of its packaging and manual, a complete-in-box ROB can fetch around $300. In the unlikely scenario that you own a mint condition ROB unit that is still in its original packaging, you might be able to sell it for as high as $500 to the right buyer. It is worth mentioning that if you have both a sealed NES console and a ROB unit bundled together, the value could increase significantly. An unopened NES and ROB combo pack could be worth well over $1,000.

Apart from the Western version of ROB, Nintendo also released a Japanese equivalent for the Famicom called the Family Computer Robot a few months prior. It is essentially the same device but with a different color scheme and packaging. However, the Japanese version is not as valuable as the NES version. A loose Famicom Robot can be sold for around $77, while a complete and sealed one can fetch around $100 to $125.

The Tragic Implosion of USS Thresher: A Catastrophe in Nuclear Submarine History

The USS Thresher was an impressive technological achievement, similar to other advanced submarines of its time. It was specifically designed for naval pursuits and had a sleek design to enhance its agility and maneuverability underwater. Armed with weapons like the ASROC, it had the capability to engage various types of targets. In April 1961, the Thresher began its meticulous trial process at Maine’s Portsmouth Naval Shipyard.

Tragically, the very nuclear power that propelled the formidable Thresher became a contributing factor in its demise. Despite its technological advancements, the submarine was built to explore unprecedented depths in the ocean, depths that the U.S. Navy had not ventured into before. It was during a deep sea trial to showcase this capability that the Thresher was lost.

On the morning of April 10, 1963, the Thresher was conducting deep dives, aiming to reach its estimated maximum depth of 1,300 feet. It maintained regular communication with the nearby USS Skylark, its designated contact during this period. However, at approximately 9:12 am, the last communication was received, indicating an issue aboard the Thresher.

It is believed that water entered the submarine through insecure joints, causing the reactor and other systems to shut down. As a result, the Thresher continued to descend uncontrollably until it succumbed to the immense pressure of the deep waters and imploded.

Why you should disable Telegram’s People Nearby feature

Telegram’s People Nearby feature allows you to find other active users near your location who are browsing the same content or participating in local group chats. The purpose is to connect with people who share similar interests.

However, there are two main issues with this feature:

  1. Increased risk of unwanted attention: By revealing that you’re online to individuals nearby, you make yourself vulnerable to potential scammers and individuals with malicious intentions. It’s highly likely that someone will try to engage with you to sell you something.
  2. Potential privacy concerns: This feature has the potential to reveal your exact location in real life. This poses a significant risk, especially for those dealing with stalkers or abusive individuals. Even if you don’t have a stalker, it’s unwise to expose your location to strangers.

  • The Hyundai Exter will be launched on July 10, and bookings are open.

  • It has some segment-first features, such as a dual dash cam setup and a single-pane sunroof.

  • Based on the leaked interior images, it will also have a digitised driver’s display (as seen in the Venue) and touchscreen unit.

  • It features a 1.2-litre engine that comes in both petrol and CNG options.

We are receiving more details about the upcoming Hyundai Exter as its launch date approaches. Leaked images of its interior have surfaced on the internet, showing some of the car’s features. Let’s have a look at what we can expect.

The Dashboard Design

The Exter’s interior design is similar to that of the Grand i10 Nios, especially the layout. It features an integrated housing design for the infotainment unit and instrument cluster, along with central AC vents below the display. Although it is hard to tell from the leaked images, it appears that the touchscreen is smaller than the 8-inch setup offered in the Grand i10 Nios and the 10.25-inch unit found in the i20.

However, the Exter will offer a digitised driver’s display, as seen in other Hyundai cars like Venue and Verna, along with auto AC and cruise control.

Other Notable Features

Hyundai Exter sunroof

The Hyundai Exter will have several notable features, including a dual dash cam setup, voice-assisted single-pane sunroof, six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), hill assist, and 3-point seat belts and reminders for all five seats, rear parking camera, and tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).

There will be five broad variants: EX, S, SX, SX (O), and SX (O) Connect, with detailed features of each variant closer to the model’s launch.

Powering the Exter

Hyundai Exter Rear

  • Corsa has outsold every other new car in the UK in the first four months of the year
  • The Corsa was the second-best selling new car in April, and best seller in its segment
  • Corsa Electric was the second-best selling electric supermini in April
  • Vauxhall to become a fully electric brand by 2028 – seven years ahead of UK Government deadlines

The Vauxhall Corsa has taken back the position as the country’s best-selling new car, according to the latest new car registration figures published today by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT).

The UK’s best-selling car in 2021, the Corsa has remained popular with buyers this year, and is now once again the best-selling car in the country for the first four months of 2023, with 14,034 units sold.

The Corsa was the best-selling car in its segment in April, and the second-best selling car for the month overall. Its fully electric variant, the Corsa Electric, was also the second-best selling electric supermini in April.

Vauxhall is on course to be a fully electric brand by 2028, seven years ahead of the UK Government deadline.

James Taylor, Managing Director, Vauxhall, said: “Given how competitive the UK new car market is, it’s fantastic to see the Corsa retain the top-selling spot. The Corsa continues to appeal to a wide range of buyers, from fleet users to those just learning to drive, and is crucially available with both petrol and electric powertrains.”
