A Unique A2 Bike Enters The Ring: The 2024 F.B Mondial Piega 452

A new challenger has entered the ring, and that ring is filled with a ton of competition. Even then, F.B Mondial is still powering through with its new model, the Piega 452, a naked streetfighter that’s A2 compliant and something of a head turner.

A new bike for the 2024 model year, the sport-naked motorbike has a few things that are going for it that may just tip the scales in its favor.

What the Piega 452 has going for it is its unique design just like its 125cc brother.  Everything on the bike is rather novel, from its dual exit exhaust system to its interesting headlight design, the fairings on its side and under chassis, and best of all, its single-sided swingarm. Even as an A2 motorcycle, the Piega exhibits a rather exotic look, making it a rather impressive motorcycle to look at in comparison to the “standard” stuff that the other big names are fielding.

Engine-wise, we’re looking at a 449.5cc parallel-twin motor that punches out 47 horsepower and 28.76 pound-feet of torque and is mated to a six-speed transmission, and the power unit sips from a fuel tank capacity set at 2.64 gallons. The New Dodge Challenger Demon 170 Crate Engine Costs As Much As A Miata

The Dodge Challenger Demon 170 is a powerful Hemi engine that is highly sought after. However, with a starting price just under $100,000 and only 3,300 units planned for production, it is not affordable for everyone. But fear not, because the Demon 170’s engine will soon be available for purchase as a crate engine. The pricing may come as a surprise, as the crate engine will cost as much as a Mazda Miata, with an MSRP of $27,695. While it is significantly cheaper than the complete Challenger Demon 170, it is still quite expensive compared to other performance cars.

The crate engine, known as the Hellephant C170 from Direct Connection, generates the same impressive 1,025 hp as the Demon 170. For its price, you get a fully dressed engine with a 3.0-liter supercharger that enhances the performance of the 6.2-liter mill. If you are looking for a more affordable option, the Hellephant C170 long block is available at a price of $18,995, but it does not include the intake, supercharger, and other components.

In addition to the Demon 170 crate engine, Direct Connection offers a range of other engines. The Hellcrate Redeye 6.2-liter long block produces 807 hp and is priced at $12,995. The Hellcrate Hemi is available in 717-hp trim for $9,495. For those looking for non-supercharged options, Direct Connection offers the 392 and 345 Crate Hemi long blocks priced at $6,995 and $4,495 respectively.

But that’s not all.

Dodge is also looking towards the future with the development of the twin-turbocharged Hurricane 3.0-liter inline-six engine. Two long-block versions of this engine are available – the Cat 1 with 420 hp and the Cat 3 with 550 hp. The pricing for the inline-six engine starts at $6,495 and goes up to $8,995 for the higher output version.

“The Dodge Direct Connection portfolio continues to expand since its relaunch in March 2022,” said Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis.

Watch 1971 Dodge Challenger With Missing Floor Receive First Wash In 40 Years

This 1971 Dodge Challenger hasn’t been washed in 40 years and has been sitting in a garage for quite a while. The car only has 19,000 miles on it but is in rough shape. The clip starts with the guys from WD Detailing hauling it away and then heading to their shop.

On the outside, this Challenger appears to be in fair condition. The rear bumper is missing, but there doesn’t seem to be any major body damage. However, the vinyl top is peeling and the tires no longer hold air.

This Challenger is equipped with a 318-cubic-inch (5.2-liter) V8 engine. While it was the smallest eight-cylinder powerplant available for this model, it was still considered large at the time. Buyers could also choose from 383-, 440-, and 426- Hemi V8 engines.

In the shop, the WD Detailing team places the Dodge on jack stands because the tires can no longer support the weight of the car. Powerwashing the body reveals the eye-catching ochre paint. However, the exterior is missing the door handles.

The interior of the car is in worse condition. The trunk is full of miscellaneous parts and junk. Additionally, the seats are somehow attached to the carpet. Removing the driver’s seat reveals a major issue – the floor on that side is completely deteriorated. The WD Detailing team has to cut out a portion of the floor and use stools to prop up the seat.

The team cleans under the hood but does not attempt to start the engine. It is unclear whether the engine is no longer functioning or if it requires maintenance.

WD Detailing does their best with what remains of this Challenger. The exterior continues to look great, but there isn’t much left beyond that. It is possible that the powertrain still works, but this cannot be determined from the video.

The guys from WD Detailing consider using this car as a donor vehicle. The body panels, seats, and door panels are still in good condition. However, restoring the car would likely be too expensive given its current state.

2023 Dodge Challenger Swinger Review: Saying Farewell to a Classic Muscle Car

While the 2023 Dodge Challenger Swinger impresses with its nostalgic exterior styling and thrilling driving experience, its interior falls short.
