Detailing the Creation of “Big Dill,” a Harley-Powered BMW Isetta

In late September 2023, a man in Deputy, Indiana, completed an impressive project. Dubbed “Big Dill,” this pickle-themed, Harley-Davidson shovelhead-powered BMW Isetta show car took a whirlwind 37 days to finish.

Exhausted but excited, the builder, Mikey Brown, wasted no time and immediately prepared his four creations, collectively called the Pickle Pack, for showcasing in Phoenix, Arizona, at the September 2023 round of the Hot Wheels Legends Tour.

The Pickle Pack includes the Big Dill, the Pickle Jar, the Pickle Packer tilt trailer, and a custom bicycle called the Pickle Slicer.

Despite the Big Dill alone taking 37 days to build, Brown managed to construct the entire Pickle Pack in under ten months, starting on January 1, 2023, and documenting his progress daily on Instagram.

After winning at the Hot Wheels Legends Tour stop, Brown was invited to compete in the final. His journey embodies determination and creativity, showcasing his ability to envision potential in raw materials and his refusal to let financial constraints hinder his dreams.

While Brown received some engineering assistance, he performed the majority of the physical labor single-handedly, from fabrication to paint and upholstery. Throughout the project, he acknowledged the support and advice from friends and family as integral to its success.

Brown’s vision for the Big Dill as an uncompromising show car led him to meticulously craft its paint job, a story that serves as motivation for anyone facing budget limitations.

This Stunning Brough Superior Just Sold For Nearly $300,000

The 2023 NEC Classic Motor Show Sale just ended in Birmingham, England, where a beautiful 1938 Brough Superior SS100 was sold for an impressive £241,500, which is equivalent to nearly $300,000 American dollars.

What makes this bike special is its Matchless 990cc overhead valve SS100 V-twin engine. The model was named after being road-tested to a speed of 100 mph before leaving the factory.

Only 102 Matchless-powered bikes were ever produced, and only 25 are known to survive in 2023. This particular 1938 Brough Superior SS100, with the UK registration GUM 239, is a well-known, multiple award-winning bike.

Equipped with a Norton four-speed gearbox, Castle forks, and a twin float carburetor from the factory, this bike has been fully restored by Brough restoration expert Tony Cripps in 2010, preserving its history since 1954 and ownership up to 2018. It also comes with a comprehensive historical documentation file, including old photos, MOTs, tax discs, and other paperwork.

Despite its historical significance, this bike is more than just a museum piece. It is said to be in “good running order,” and has even won awards for being “Best Ridden To Show.”

While a walkaround video was posted prior to the sale, showcasing its condition, a startup video was not provided. Considering its rarity, it’s understandable that such footage was not made available.

Watch Billy Bolt’s Motovlog on Red Bull Romaniacs 2023

The 20th edition of Red Bull Romaniacs, held from July 25 to 29, 2023, is considered one of the toughest hard enduro events in the world. Completing the race is already a significant achievement, let alone winning it.

In the 2023 edition of Romaniacs, KTM riders dominated the podium. Manuel Lettenbichler claimed first place, followed by Trystan Hart. Although Husqvarna’s Billy Bolt initially held onto third place, KTM rider Teodor Kabakchiev surpassed him and took the spot.

One interesting aspect of the event is Billy Bolt’s motovlog, where he provides insights into the experiences of the riders. This motovlog gives viewers a glimpse into the highs and lows of participating in a week-long event like Romaniacs.

It is worth noting that Billy Bolt participated in Romaniacs 2023 while still recovering from a shoulder injury. Due to this injury, he couldn’t train as much as he wanted to before the event. In his motovlog, you can even spot the shoulder tape. Despite feeling some weakness, he managed to endure the race without any pain and believes he is now ready to resume full physical training for the next round in Canada.

Although Bolt didn’t make it to the podium at Romaniacs 2023, he considered the race a learning experience. He expressed his intention to be better prepared for the event next year based on what he learned.

Finishing fourth in the race allowed him to maintain his third place in the overall 2023 FIM Hard Enduro World Championship standings. Manuel Lettenbichler currently holds the top position, followed closely by Trystan Hart. Teodor Kabakchiev is trailing behind Bolt by six points, and Michael Walkner from GasGas occupies fifth place overall.
