Google Search And Chrome Introduce New Features to Help Find Holiday Deals

Google has unveiled a new “deals destination” feature on Google Search. When users search for “shop deals,” they will now see a list of notable discounts across popular holiday gift categories such as cell phones, clothing, laptops, TVs, and headphones. For more specific searches, users can search for “shop [specific product or product category] deals” to find even more deals.

These new features offer extensive search results. For instance, searching for “shop video game deals” not only displays sale prices, but also highlights popular games available at stores with blanket discounts, like QVC offering $20 off a purchase of $40 or more for new customers.

In Chrome, Google has introduced a feature called “Price Insights,” which was already available in search. When users view a product page in Chrome, a “Price Insights” button appears in the address bar, showing the item’s 90-day price history.

Moreover, Google has added price-tracking notification features to both the desktop and mobile versions of Chrome. On desktop, bookmarking a product page will prompt users to receive email notifications “if the price drops on any site.” On mobile, users can tap the bell icon next to a product name and choose to receive email and/or push notifications for price drops.

Lastly, a new discount tag icon has been introduced in the desktop address bar. Clicking on it will display coupon codes for the site the user is currently browsing, if available. These tools will be useful for holiday shoppers who are looking to save money.

2024 Jeep Gladiator Unveiled with Updated Grille Design and AEV Packs with 35-Inch Tires

In 2019, Jeep expanded its lineup by introducing the Gladiator, a robust truck designed to complement the Wrangler in its off-road range. Earlier this year, the automaker unveiled an enhanced version of the SUV, and now, many of those enhancements will be featured in the 2024 Gladiator, which made its debut at this year’s North American International Auto Show.

One of the most notable changes to the exterior of the truck is its new seven-slot grille design. Similar to the Wrangler, the Gladiator now sports smaller slots, which Jeep claims will improve the truck’s cooling system. The grille features black slats with neutral gray bezels and a body-color surround. However, the Willys trim stands out with its black slots and bezels.

Did Ford Eliminate the V8 Engine Option for the F-150?

According to a press release, the new F-150 model comes equipped with a 5.0 all-aluminum block and heads, capable of running on E85 fuel for increased flexibility. However, Ford has not yet disclosed the power figures for either the 5.0 engine or the supercharged engine that will feature in the upcoming Raptor R. These details are anticipated to be revealed shortly before the truck is released to the public or during the launch, expected in early next year.

To provide a comparison, the current F-150 model offers a 5.0 V8 engine that produces 400 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque. This particular engine is standard in the King Ranch and Platinum trims. On the other hand, the current F-150 Raptor R is equipped with a supercharged 5.2-liter V8 engine that boasts an impressive 700 horsepower and 640 pound-feet of torque. It is known for its energetic performance, resembling a guitar solo and the effect of excessive consumption of cheap energy drinks. The Ford F-series lineup has been in existence since 1948 and has consistently included a V8 engine option. Ford has no plans to deviate from this tradition even after 75 years.

Roku to Include Local News TV Channels for Free Streaming

In addition to news channels, The Roku Channel is expanding its offerings. Alongside local affiliate streams, Roku will include Spanish-language content from La Saga and VR+, as well as popular shows from NBCUniversal such as “Saved by the Bell” and “Murder She Wrote.” The service will also feature sports and family programming, along with a dedicated channel for streaming superstar, MrBeast, who has over 176 million subscribers on YouTube.

With this expansion, Roku is asserting its position as a key player in the fast-growing market of free ad-supported television (FAST). This market has experienced significant growth in recent years. FAST services typically do not require an account or subscription; users can simply open the app and start streaming content immediately, similar to turning on live TV. The trade-off is encountering multiple advertisements, but the convenience has contributed to the popularity of FAST networks like Pluto TV.

Roku has a built-in advantage as its network serves as an app for Roku TVs and devices. It has also ventured into the competitive arena of original programming, producing movies such as “WEIRD: The Al Yankovic Story” and acquiring the original content library of the now-defunct short-form streaming platform, Quibi. With the addition of live news networks and MrBeast, The Roku Network is positioning itself as a major player in the streaming landscape, especially as FAST services gain momentum in response to price increases from major streaming platforms like Disney+, Netflix, and Hulu.

New Toyota Land Cruiser is Teased with Classic FJ62 Design Cues [UPDATE]

Update: Toyota has released seven additional teaser images showcasing the exterior details, as well as a glimpse of the center console. One notable feature is the four-wheel-drive toggle switch, similar to the Lexus GX, suggesting that the new Land Cruiser will have all-wheel drive at all times.

Toyota is once again building excitement for its new Land Cruiser with another teaser that pays homage to the past. Fortunately, the latest image of the upcoming off-roader provides a close look at the front fascia and other features, without the use of silhouettes.

Shown alongside a Land Cruiser FJ62, it is evident that the new model, which is likely to debut for the 2025 model year, draws inspiration from its 1980s predecessor. The rectangular headlight array flanks an egg-crate grille, with the brand name “TOYOTA” replacing the oval emblem at the center. Additionally, the front fenders have a pleasingly blocky design, while the hood wrapping onto the bodysides adds a modern touch.

The robust front bumper deviates from the retro theme, as expected due to modern crash standards. The new Land Cruiser features a thick, contrast-color center section, and although the lower front end is not fully visible, the bumper appears to be positioned relatively high to preserve approach angles. A glimpse of a skid plate can also be seen in the middle.

This teaser allows for clear differentiation between the Toyota Land Cruiser and its Lexus GX counterpart. As seen in the previous teaser, the Land Cruiser’s upkicked beltline and upright windshield suggest that the two models will likely share a platform and body structure. However, the Toyota’s blockier front end is better suited for its intended audience, in contrast to the angular headlights and spindle-motif grille found on the Lexus.

2025 Toyota Land Cruiser Teaser

For more information, such as dimensions and powertrain specifications, we will have to wait until Toyota unveils the 2025 Land Cruiser. However, we can look to its GX cousin for some insights. The GX features a twin-turbocharged 3.4-liter V6 engine with an impressive output of 349 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque. It also comes equipped with full-time four-wheel drive, a Torsen center differential, and a selectable low range for off-road adventures.
