Manhart Gives the BMW M2 Competition an Impressive 715-HP Upgrade

The skilled team at Manhart Performance has once again worked their magic. At first glance, the BMW M2 Competition you see here may not appear too unusual, aside from the prominent rear wing and eye-catching graphics. However, a closer look through the windows reveals segments of a roll cage. And when a car has a cage, you know there’s a good reason for it.

In this case, there are 715 reasons. That’s the amount of horsepower you’ll find under the hood of this modified F87 BMW M2, known as the MH2 700. If this sounds familiar, it’s because we’ve witnessed a previous creation from Manhart, the MH2, which featured their iconic black and gold livery. However, that version “only” generated 630 hp from its 3.0-liter I6 engine with added boost. The new MH2 700 is a whole different beast. The engine has received unspecified reinforcements, which the tuner claims are robust enough to handle an astonishing 1,200 horsepower.

Watch Koenigsegg One:1 With Naked Carbon-Fiber Body Hit The Streets

During the Supercar Owners Circle weekend in Spain, some incredible vehicles made an appearance. One of the most attention-grabbing machines was a Koenigsegg One:1 with its carbon-fiber body on full display. The crowd couldn’t resist taking photos of it.

The One:1 was a special version of the Agera, and its name referred to the weight-to-horsepower ratio. Powered by a twin-turbo 5.0-liter V8 engine, it produced an impressive 1,360 metric horsepower (1,341 horsepower), while weighing only 1,360 kilograms (2,998 pounds). This power was transferred through a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Accelerating at a mind-boggling rate, the car could reach a speed of 249 miles per hour in about 20 seconds. In fact, its estimated top speed of 273 mph positioned it among the fastest cars in the world.

Corvette Driver Crashes Into Wall, Spins, and Drives Away on Highway

Dashcams can capture some wild moments on video, and this incident involving a speeding Corvette is a perfect example. The shocking scene shows the black Corvette speeding down an onramp, losing control of the rear end, and hitting the wall with its nose. The driver then overcorrects the steering wheel, causing the car to spin across multiple lanes of traffic. Despite the crash, the Corvette driver continues driving from the far left lane to the far right, with a small piece falling off the car. The video ends with the Corvette disappearing in the distance.

Since the camera doesn’t record audio, it’s unknown whether the driver reacted to the incident with any surprised expletives or whether other drivers honked their horns.

The video was originally posted on Reddit’s IdiotsInCars sub-forum. Motor1.com has reached out to the creator for more information about the incident and will provide an update if more details are received.

Based on available information, the incident took place on September 8, 2023, around 7 PM local time, on Interstate 5 in Seattle, Washington. The video was posted on Reddit on September 12.

Unfortunately, the video’s low resolution makes it impossible to identify the Corvette’s license plate number. This lack of identifying information would pose a challenge for law enforcement in tracking down the driver.

Dashcams have captured numerous amazing incidents in the past. For instance, Motor1.com previously covered a video where two dealership employees took a 2016 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 on a high-speed test drive without authorization while the vehicle was supposed to be undergoing repairs. The car incurred damage, but the shop provided free parts for the repairs.

There is also a whole genre of YouTube videos featuring Tesla dashcams capturing various bizarre incidents. One example is a viral clip of a Tesla capturing a wheel coming off a pickup truck and launching a Kia Soul into the air.

Get Your Hands on This Custom Military-Inspired Mercedes, Including a Fake Machine Gun

If the iconic movie character Mad Max were to drive a Mercedes instead of “the last of the V8 interceptors,” he would surely choose the unique ‘Benz that Greg Rogers is currently selling. This one-of-a-kind vehicle features an ML430 chassis with a 300E body on top. Known as the ME43, this eye-catching creation is currently available on Facebook Marketplace for $4,500 in Atlanta, Georgia.

Rogers, a Mercedes expert with 37 years of experience, used to own and operate his own shop until his retirement in August. The idea for this extraordinary build came to him when he had a 300E with a faulty engine but a well-maintained interior, as well as a wrecked ML430. Remarkably, the wheelbases of both vehicles were similar enough to allow for their successful combination.

Automobili Lamborghini launches Esperienza Avventura in China

The “Expedition into the Wild” experience with the Urus Performante in southern Gansu ignites a passion for adventure

Gansu, 10 July 2023 – Lamborghini Esperienza Avventura has arrived in China for the first time, marking a new chapter in Lamborghini’s experience program. The “Expedition into the Wild” allowed guests to travel nearly 900 km across varying road conditions in the Lamborghini Urus Performante. Along the way, they experienced dramatic landscapes as the Lamborghini Super SUV conquered the wilderness, starting from the golden city of Lanzhou.

“On the occasion of the brand’s 60th anniversary, the Lamborghini Esperienza Avventura enters China for the first time, demonstrating our confidence in and focus on the Chinese market once again,” said Konstantin Sychev, Managing Director of Automobili Lamborghini Chinese mainland, Hong Kong & Macao. “With this new program dedicated to the Urus family, our customers can participate in an authentic driving activity, with the brave spirit of Lamborghini and its Super SUVs delivering the ultimate lifestyle experience.”

During the four-day trip, a fleet of 12 Lamborghini Urus vehicles set off from Lanzhou and drove through the Ganjia Secret Land, which features distinct peaks, valleys, wild dirt roads, and highland meadows with stunning views of the Secret Land from the vast grasslands. On the Sangke Grasslands, the Urus Performante showcased its capabilities away from the road, as the powerful Super SUV drove through the summer grazing routes.

Guests had the opportunity to experience a unique blend of natural beauty and traditional culture with a blessing at Labrang Monastery, followed by a visit to Norlha Workshop to appreciate Tibetan textiles and styling. Finally, the fleet reached the Amigonghong rangeland to savor local cuisine, with the adventurers enjoying an exclusive Lamborghini outdoor evening celebration.

The Urus convoy demonstrated the versatility of the Urus SSUV and its V8 twin turbo engine, which ensured easy city driving, maximum comfort during long stretches, dynamic performance on the road, and powerful capabilities across various off-road routes, highlighted by a wide range of weather conditions.

Taking the fun-to-drive sportiness of the Super SUV to a new level on dirt tracks, the Urus Performante introduces a new Rally mode. This mode enhances the oversteer character of the vehicle with optimized anti-roll and damping systems for rough and extreme surfaces. The Active Torque Vectoring guarantees agility and precision on mountain roads under highland weather conditions with reduced grip. The Urus’ powerful terrain-conquering abilities and adventurous spirit are perfectly illustrated by its ability to navigate rough and uneven roads, making it the perfect choice for an “expedition into the wild.”

The bold brand spirit was showcased throughout the journey, both in terms of the different landscapes crossed by the Urus Performante and the highly adventurous nature of the event. The Urus Performante offers numerous Ad Personam configurations with a virtually limitless range of colors and personalization options, reflecting the individuality of Urus owners.

Tamiya Wild One returns as £35,000 road-legal electric buggy

The Tamiya Wild One radio-controlled car – a mainstay of the 1980s toy box and highly collectable today – has been turned into the full-sized, road-legal electric dune buggy of your dreams.

Available to order from £35,000, the Wild One Max is the work of Bicester-based The Little Car Company, known for its downsized EV reworkings of iconic classics like the Ferrari 250 TR and Bugatti Type 35.

It’s a faithful tribute to its pint-size namesake, albeit with some concessions to real-world usability, including a widened, two-seat cockpit, shorter suspension turrets and – crucially – windscreen wipers.

Power is supplied by eight swappable battery packs totalling 14.4kWh and giving around 120 miles of range. Weight is 500kg and top speed is pegged at 62mph.

Meanwhile, with 270mm of ground clearance, an approach angle of 34.1deg and a 50.8deg departure angle, it promises to keep up with Land Rover Defenders and Jeep Wranglers on the rough stuff.

Held to the same L7e quadricycle regulations as the Citroën Ami, it can now be ordered in left- or right-hand drive form ahead of delivery in early 2024.

As standard, it gets Cobra bucket seats with four-point harnesses, adjustable Bilstein dampers, Eibach springs, a 5.0in central screen, a reversing camera and a ‘giant sticker sheet’ – just like the original – of retro-style decals to apply.

Plymouth Superbird and Ford Torino Talladega Barn Finds: Classic Race Cars Discovered

During the late 1960s, NASCAR was a hotbed of fierce competition among automakers. These were the days of the aero wars, with manufacturers pushing the limits of vehicle design to gain an edge on the racetrack. It was during this time that road cars closely resembled their race car counterparts. Recently, an exciting barn find uncovered a collection of high-performance race cars from this era.

This impressive collection includes several American-made models from the late 1960s. One standout is a 1969 Charger Daytona, painted in the iconic B5 Blue with a white stripe and blue interior. This vehicle is already undergoing restoration, along with several others in the collection. However, the barn also houses some rarer gems for enthusiasts to discover. Among them are several Plymouth Superbirds, known for their distinct big wings and aerodynamic noses. Some of these Superbirds are already being worked on, with one having its vinyl roof and nose removed. Additionally, one of the Superbirds featured a four-speed gearbox, while the rest were equipped with a 440-cubic-inch V8 engine and automatic gearboxes.

Also present in the collection are several 1969 Ford Torino Talladegas, which were a more aerodynamic version of the car. The Mercury variant, known as the Cyclone Spoiler, is also part of this barn find. These Torino Talladegas were produced in limited numbers, with rumors suggesting that less than 800 were made in the first few months of 1969. As a result, these cars are quite rare and highly sought after. They came in three different colors and featured power steering, power brakes, and an AM radio.

While not every car in the collection is destined for restoration, many of them are in decent enough condition to be revitalized. Unfortunately, there is a burnt-out Superbird that is beyond repair. Nevertheless, it’s exciting to think that there could be more NASCAR-related treasures hiding in barns across the country. It’s incredible how many forgotten or abandoned vehicles are out there, waiting to be appreciated by new owners. Though they may require some work, few of these cars are beyond salvage.

Limited-Edition Ferrari SF90 Spider With 1,100 HP Rolls Out From Mansory

Mansory is known for its daring and unconventional creations in the automotive world. As an aftermarket specialist and tuner, the company fearlessly embraces the challenge of altering the appearance and performance of today’s high-performance cars. Its latest creation is a modified Ferrari that combines a significant power boost with an eye-catching body kit, ensuring it stands out in its limited production run.

The new offering from Mansory, named the F9XX Tempesta Celeste, is based on the Ferrari SF90 Spider. Only three of these limited-edition vehicles will be produced. Earlier this year, Mansory showcased a gray-blue example of the SF90 Spider, and now it introduces a white version that accentuates the striking carbon-fiber body kit. The company has incorporated an aggressive aero kit, featuring numerous forged carbon-fiber add-ons, including a two-piece rear spoiler.

Singer Teases Porsche 911 With Bold Design Features

Singer Vehicle Design has given us a sneak peek at its latest reimagined Porsche 911, and it’s definitely catching attention. The vehicle is set to make its debut on Tuesday, June 27th.

The teaser image reveals the rear fender, which boasts a wide flare with a prominent front intake. And let’s not forget about the massive wing sitting on the rear deck. The bright orange color adds an extra touch of flair.

One of the most intriguing features of this Porsche 911 is its center-lock wheels. They have a captivating basketweave pattern with a deep dish design. The color transitions from bronze to dark green, complemented by a set of Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires.

Unfortunately, there are no further details available at this time. However, looking at Singer’s previous builds can give us an idea of what to expect. The company is currently focusing on turbocharged vehicles and has temporarily paused orders for the 911 Classic Study. As of early 2022, Singer had 70 reservations for turbocharged models, which are equipped with either a 450 horsepower or 510 horsepower twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter flat-six air-cooled engine. These vehicles offer a choice between rear- or all-wheel-drive layouts and come with a six-speed manual gearbox.

When it comes to customization, Singer allows buyers to tailor their car to their preferences. From suspension tunes to interior amenities, customers have a wide range of options. Whether you want a comfortable grand tourer for the road or a more aggressive track-focused setup, Singer can deliver.

Judging by the bold design elements like the fender flares and wing, it seems that this particular customer opted for a track-honed setup. However, it’s also possible that they desired a comfortable ride with a striking exterior appearance.

Singer previously caught our attention with the debut of its first reimagined 911 Cabriolet. This model featured a Cadiz Red body, a prominent whale-tail spoiler at the rear, and a cabin adorned with a combination of black leather and red plaid, accented by wood trim. Its turbocharged engine churned out 510 horsepower.
