New Mercedes-AMG GLC: More Power and Upgrades

Mercedes-AMG has unveiled the new GLC, featuring updated design, improved interior technology, and an all-new hybrid-powered range topper with a staggering 671bhp. The latest GLC will be positioned above the GLC Coupe and is set to go on sale soon.

At the entry-level, the GLC 43 4Matic is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine, delivering 415bhp. It is also equipped with a 14bhp belt-driven starter/generator, offering 368lb ft of torque. The GLC 43 can accelerate from 0-62mph in 4.8 seconds, slightly slower than the V8-powered BMW X5 M60, which achieves it in 4.3 seconds.

On the other hand, the flagship GLC 63 S E Performance combines a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine with a 201bhp electric motor and a 6.1kWh battery. This hybrid model outputs an impressive 671bhp and 752lb ft, allowing it to sprint from 0-62mph in a mere 3.5 seconds. Its top speed is limited to 170mph. The electrification of the model has also improved its efficiency, offering up to 7.5 miles of electric-only range and featuring an on-board charger capable of supplying power at speeds of up to 3.8kW.

Google’s Pixel 8 Could Finally Address the Biggest Battery Complaint

The Pixel 8 series is bringing some impressive updates, especially with the Pixel 8 Pro. According to leaks, the Pro version will have an improved wired charging output of 27W, surpassing the 23W limit on the Pixel 7 Pro. It will also charge faster at 23W with Google’s in-house wireless charging mat, compared to the Pixel 8’s maximum of 20W.

When using a Qi-based wireless charger, the Pixel 8 series will reach the 12W limit. In comparison, the OnePlus 11 offers 100W wired charging, while the OnePlus 10 Pro supports 50W wireless charging with its proprietary VOOC charging stand. As for battery capacity, the Pixel 8 Pro will have a slightly larger 4,950mAh battery, just a bit bigger than the 4,926mAh battery in the Pixel 7 Pro.

However, it seems that Google is focusing on significant camera upgrades for the Pixel 8 series. Both phones are rumored to feature a new 50-megapixel main camera with a larger sensor for better low-light performance and image quality.

In addition, Google is replacing the Pixel 7 Pro’s 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera with a more powerful 64-megapixel sensor on the Pixel 8 Pro. Interestingly, leaks also mention an upgraded time-of-flight (ToF) sensor and a thermal sensor for non-contact temperature analysis on the Pixel 8 Pro.
