Unique 2024 Porsche Panamera Turbo Has Two-Tone Paint With Real Gold

Porsche unveiled the third-generation Panamera in Shanghai, surprising the audience with a special one-of-a-kind Turbo model. Developed by the Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur division, known for customized vehicles, it showcases the limitless possibilities available through the Sonderwunsch (German for “special request”) program.

While this specific Panamera is a unique creation, Porsche highlights the “all-but-unlimited options” for the new model, meaning it should be possible to order a similar one. It sports a striking two-tone paint with a primary Leblon Violet Metallic color adorned with subtle chestnut accents, finished with a clear coat containing vaporized real gold flakes.

The 2024 Porsche Panamera Seen in Traffic with Minimal Disguise

The next generation Panamera is set to be revealed on November 24. In the meantime, Porsche is conducting final tests. A prototype, which appears to be almost production-ready, has been sighted on the streets of California with cleverly disguised features.

The camouflage is designed to create the illusion that the car is not concealed. This extends beyond stickers on the headlights and taillights, with a fake side air intake on the fenders and a blacked-out quarter glass. Porsche has gone to great lengths to deceive with this disguise.

The New Porsche Panamera Interior Is All About Screens And Touch Controls

The third-generation Porsche Panamera is set to make its world premiere on November 24, and ahead of its debut, the car’s interior has been revealed. Taking inspiration from the Taycan, Porsche’s all-electric sedan, the new Panamera features a modernized interior with minimal conventional controls. Instead, most functions are accessed through screens and touch-sensitive keys mounted on the center console.

One highlight of the interior is the 12.6-inch digital instrument cluster, which is accompanied by a center touchscreen and another display on the passenger side of the dashboard. The center console also houses electrically adjustable air vents and an expanded storage area. Rear occupants are also treated to a touchscreen that allows them to control various settings, including media, navigation, and ambient lighting.

Next-gen Porsche Panamera interior

The new Panamera will also offer a longer-wheelbase Executive variant, providing greater rear legroom and newly contoured seats for enhanced comfort on long journeys. Notably, this is the first time the Panamera has offered a leather-free upholstery option, combining Race-Tex and Pepita fabric.

Despite its large size and weight, the Panamera maintains a driver-centric cabin layout, with most functions easily accessible. The driving mode selector is located on the steering wheel, as is the toggle switch for navigating the digital instrument cluster menus. The optional head-up display can also be operated from the steering wheel.

To the right of the steering wheel is the gear selector, which has been relocated to declutter the area between the front seats. Other interior updates include a continuous light strip and improved seat foam materials. However, some may find the glossy black surfaces to be fingerprint magnets.

While there were hopes for a more practical wagon version of the new Panamera, it seems unlikely as Porsche has indicated that few customers purchased the outgoing model in that configuration. All the prototypes used in media drive events were hatchbacks, and there have been no spy shots of a wagon variant spotted.

Queen Elizabeth’s 110,000 Mile Range Rover Is Going Up for Auction

A unique Land Rover Range Rover, specially designed for Queen Elizabeth II by the company’s Special Vehicle Operations, is now being auctioned. Video footage shows the Queen herself driving the SUV, and now you have the chance to experience that regal feeling too.

This 2004 Land Rover has some distinct modifications that you won’t find in regular models. For example, the rear doors each have two window switches so that the backseat passenger can operate both windows without any hassle. It also has grab handles for rear-seat passengers and side steps to make entry and exit easier.

This Epsom Green Range Rover has a Sand Hide interior, with the Queen protecting the seats with seat covers. It also features a dog guard that separates the passenger compartment from the cargo hold with a cage. Additionally, it has a modified front grille with covert lights and mudguards to keep the Queen’s ride clean.

The vehicle was first registered in the UK in 2004 and has a comprehensive service history, with the last service conducted in July. It has nearly 110,000 miles on its odometer and is powered by a 4.4-liter engine that produces 282 horsepower. The car will be auctioned off at the NEC Classic Motor Show Sale 2023 in England on Sunday, November 11.

Attempts have been made to verify the vehicle’s authenticity over the years, but Iconic Auctioneers has video footage of Queen Elizabeth driving the Land Rover, which they are willing to share upon request. The SUV still bears the same registration number – BN04 EPU.

Queen Elizabeth II, who reigned for 70 years and was the UK’s longest-serving monarch, passed away in September 2022 at the age of 96. She was often seen driving herself, frequently in a Land Rover, although in 2021 she was spotted driving a green Jaguar wagon around Windsor Castle. Her love for driving prompted an outpouring of condolences from automakers around the world.
