Bone Conduction Headphones Explained: How They Work, And Are They Safe?

Bone conduction headphones are a great option for people with an active lifestyle. Unlike noise-canceling earbuds, they allow you to listen to your surroundings while still enjoying your music. However, research published in the National Library of Medicine suggests that these headphones may still affect your awareness of the sounds around you, so they are not foolproof in terms of avoiding accidents. Nevertheless, they can be a good choice if you want to listen to multiple audio sources at once.

Another advantage of bone conduction headphones is that they are suitable for individuals who need to wear a hearing aid. These headphones use a different method of delivering sound, as they fit over the ear instead of sitting inside it like traditional earbuds. They can also provide a surround sound experience for people who are deaf in one ear, something that regular headphones cannot achieve. Lastly, these headphones can make it easier for individuals with certain types of hearing loss or ear conditions like tinnitus to enjoy podcasts and music. However, it is important to note that this may not apply to all types of hearing impairments.

F22 Raptor Vs F35 Lightning II: A Comparison

The F-22 and F-35 are two advanced military aircraft that serve different roles in the United States military and other friendly militaries worldwide. While the F-22 is considered the pinnacle of fighter jets, the F-35 is designed to be a versatile multi-role fighter aircraft, capable of adapting to various mission requirements.

The F-35 is often described as a Swiss Army knife due to its ability to perform a wide range of tasks. It was developed by the U.S. Air Force to replace several fighter and ground attack aircraft, including the F-16, F-18, and A-10. It is also replacing the Harrier “jump-jet” in the Marine Corps. This makes the F-35 a crucial asset for the United States military and its allies.

Unlike the F-22, which has not been exported and is unlikely to be, the F-35 has been adopted by many countries. The United Kingdom, Italy, the Netherlands, Canada, Australia, Denmark, Norway, Israel, Japan, South Korea, Belgium, Poland, Singapore, Finland, Switzerland, and Germany have all acquired the F-35 for their respective militaries.

Lockheed Martin, the manufacturer of the F-35, has delivered over 965 Lightning IIs to these nations, compared to the limited number of 183 F-22 Raptors in existence. This demonstrates the widespread adoption and popularity of the F-35 among friendly nations.

See Custom Porsche 911 GT3 Get Removable Paint That Peels Off Like A Wrap

Car enthusiasts often use vinyl vehicle wraps to change the appearance of their cars. While wraps offer various visual options, they do not provide the same look and texture as actual paint. However, Logic has come up with a solution that offers easily removable paint without damaging the original color of the car.

In a recent video from the Mr JWW YouTube channel, a 991.2-generation Porsche 911 GT3 receives a stunning coat of San Marino Blue paint using Logic’s removable paint. This paint is not a wrap but a self-healing, scratch-resistant flexible ceramic lacquer. It acts as a clear coat that protects the car’s original paintwork and can be easily removed without causing any harm.

Logic offers a range of bespoke colors and treatments for customers, including pinstripes, coach lines, body stripes, and matte or satin finishes. The paint is also compatible with standard car care products and can be polished and ceramic coated.

Logic, based in the UK, has access to decades of color codes from almost every car brand in the world. They can even source paints used by Ferrari, Porsche, Ford, and other manufacturers through their suppliers. When the owner decides to change the color, Logic can peel off the removable paint without damaging the original finish underneath.

In addition to the custom paint job, Mr JWW’s 991.2-generation 911 GT3 features other modifications such as a custom JCR Porsche exhaust, new wheels, caliper paint that matches the orange cabin, a carbon-fiber GT3 RS hood, and a ducktail wing. The interior has custom seat brakes, blue-tinted carbon-fiber trim from Logic, and new upholstery.

The car is powered by a 4.0-liter flat-six engine, producing 493 horsepower and 339 pound-feet of torque. The coupe is available with either a six-speed manual or an automatic transmission, with the manual achieving a 0-60 mph time of 3.8 seconds and the automatic doing it in 3.2 seconds.

Despite the numerous customization options available, it’s interesting to note that the majority of car buyers still prefer white, black, silver, and gray vehicles. These colors accounted for over 75 percent of all cars on the road in the US. Blue and red make up just over 19 percent of the remaining quarter of car colors.

First Lamborghini EV to be unveiled as a concept next week

In a recent exclusive interview with Autocar, Lamborghini has shared details about its first electric vehicle (EV), which will be revealed in concept form next week. This announcement supports Lamborghini’s previously stated plan for electrification, which was announced in 2021.

The EV, known as Direzione Cor Tauri, takes its name from the Latin term for a bull’s heart and the brightest star in the Taurus constellation. Lamborghini’s electrification plan outlines a three-step strategy.

The initial stage of the plan involved creating pure internal combustion engine (ICE) specials, which concluded last year. This was followed by the launch of Lamborghini’s first plug-in hybrid, the Revuelto, which has already sold out until 2026.

By the end of 2024, all three of Lamborghini’s current models – the Aventador, Huracán, and Urus – will be available as plug-in hybrids.

The introduction of these plug-in hybrids will help Lamborghini reduce its official carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions by half of the 2022 levels by 2025. The company’s two EVs planned for release after 2024 will further contribute to a significant reduction in emissions.

Lamborghini’s CEO, Stephan Winkelmann, emphasized that customer perceptions have shifted with regards to electrification. Customers are now more aware of environmental regulations and interested in sustainable technologies that also enhance performance. The success and acceptance of Lamborghini’s hybridization phase have paved the way for a new breed of customers to consider full electrification.

Lamborghini Huracan, Urus Enjoying a Fun Snow Vacation in New Zealand

Sliding cars on snow and ice can be an exhilarating experience due to the lack of traction on the slick surface. Lamborghini capitalized on this opportunity during its Esperienza Neve event held in Queenstown, New Zealand. Participants had the chance to drift various models including the Huracan Tecnica, STO, Sterrato, and Urus.

Guests from the Asia Pacific region gathered at the Southern Hemisphere Proving Grounds for a three-day ice driving experience. Highly skilled Lamborghini driving instructors accompanied them on the adventure, providing guidance on how to maximize the capabilities of these supercars on low-grip surfaces.

7 Tips To Choose The Best Car Insurance Plan With The Right Add-On Schemes

Picking the right car insurance plan with suitable add-on schemes will provide you with the necessary protection and peace of mind on the road

For your automobile to be protected from unforeseeable events, the correct auto insurance plan must be chosen. It might be difficult to choose the finest auto insurance plan, though, given the wide range of options on the market. You can further improve your coverage by taking the appropriate add-on plans into account. Here are seven guidelines to help you select the best auto insurance policy with the appropriate add-on plans.

1. Assess your Coverage Needs:

Examine your specific coverage needs before choosing one of the many vehicle insurance packages available. Think about things like the age, worth, and usage of your car, as well as your personal driving style. For instance, comprehensive coverage plus add-ons like zero depreciation and engine protection would be advantageous if you own a brand-new vehicle.

2. Research Multiple Insurance Providers:

Research and compare policies from various insurance companies are essential steps in selecting the best auto insurance plan. Look for reputable insurers that provide thorough coverage, top-notch customer support, and simple claim processing. Comparing policies and their benefits side by side is made easier with the help of online insurance aggregators.

3. Understand the Add-on Options:

For greater protection, you can supplement the base coverage in your auto insurance policy with add-ons or riders. Learn about optional add-ons, including zero depreciation, engine protection, roadside assistance, consumables coverage, and personal accident insurance for passengers. Determine which ones fit your needs and financial situation.

4. Consider Deductibles and Premiums:

Analyze the deductibles and costs related to auto insurance policies. The sum you consent to pay out of pocket while filing a claim is known as a deductible. Lowering your deductible can lower your premium, but you might have to pay more if you file a claim. Balance your deductibles and premiums based on your financial capacity.

5. Check Network Garages and Cashless Facilities:

Take into account the insurer’s network of garages and their ability to resolve claims without the use of cash. A large network guarantees easy access to approved repair facilities, lowering out-of-pocket costs during repairs. Additionally, cashless facilities simplify the claim procedure by eliminating the inconveniences of reimbursement.

6. Read the Fine Print:

Thoroughly read and understand the terms and conditions, coverage inclusions and exclusions, claim procedures, and claim settlement ratios of potential insurance plans. Pay attention to hidden clauses and limitations that may affect your coverage. Seek clarification from the insurer or agent if anything is unclear.

7. Seek Recommendations and Reviews:

Ask friends, family members, and other reliable sources for suggestions who have used vehicle insurance policies in the past. Their opinions can be incredibly insightful regarding an insurer’s claim handling procedures, customer support, and level of satisfaction in general. To determine the reputation and dependability of insurance providers, read customer reviews and ratings online.

Choosing the best car insurance plan involves careful consideration of your coverage needs, thorough research, and an understanding of add-on options. By assessing your requirements, comparing policies, and considering factors like deductibles, network garages, and reviews, you can make an informed decision. Remember, only the right car insurance plan with suitable add-on schemes can provide you with the necessary protection and peace of mind on the road in the long run.

# See How Next Toyota Land Cruiser Might Look Before August 1 Debut

The next-generation Toyota Land Cruiser is set to debut on August 1, but recent teaser images give us a good idea of what to expect. Rendering created by Kolesa using the available pictures shows how the new SUV might look.

Toyota is highlighting the Land Cruiser’s retro look by showcasing it alongside the FJ62 model from the late 1980s. The upcoming Land Cruiser features a blunt nose, rectangular headlights, and chiseled fender flares, reminiscent of the classic model.

The new Land Cruiser seems to have simple and unadorned flanks, with most of the visual interest being generated by the fenders. The vehicle also sports large windows and a prominent roof rack.

At the rear, there is a large hatchback with blocky taillights.

Currently, only one photo of the new Land Cruiser’s cabin is available. It reveals a rocker switch for swapping between high and low gear ranges, as well as a setting for H4L, which likely refers to high range with a locked differential.

While it hasn’t been officially confirmed, it is believed that the new Land Cruiser will be built on Toyota’s body-on-frame GA-F platform. This platform is shared with the Lexus GX, which features a twin-turbo 3.4-liter V6 engine producing 349 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque, along with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Additionally, the Lexus GX has full-time four-wheel drive and a lockable Torsen limited-slip center differential. However, it is worth noting that the Land Cruiser’s interior features an H4L setting, which is not present in the Lexus GX.

Toyota has confirmed that the new Land Cruiser will be available in the United States, but precise launch timing and pricing details have not yet been announced. More information about these details is expected to be revealed during the August 1 debut.

Rowan Atkinson Shows Support for Hydrogen Fuel by Driving Toyota GR Yaris H2 at Goodwood

Rowan Atkinson, famously known as Mr. Bean, made an appearance at Goodwood to express his support for alternative fuels. He drove a specially modified Toyota GR Yaris H2, showcasing his enthusiasm for cars and his stance as a strong advocate for the internal combustion engine.

The Toyota GR Yaris H2 Concept, prepared for the Goodwood event, retains its standard turbocharged 1.6-liter three-cylinder engine. However, the engine management system has been adjusted to allow the car to run on hydrogen. Unlike a fuel cell vehicle, this concept directly injects hydrogen into the engine for internal combustion.

Atkinson, who already owns a regular GR Yaris, found the hydrogen-powered hot hatch to be a “tremendous fun” to drive. He commended Toyota and Formula One for their efforts in preserving the internal combustion engine by utilizing clean alternative fuels. Toyota is currently developing a GR H2 Le Mans prototype that will race on hydrogen fuel in 2026. Formula One plans to transition to hybrid powertrains running sustainable fuels within the same timeframe.

As an early adopter of electric car technology and a graduate in electrical and electronic engineering, Atkinson has become increasingly critical of electric cars. In an article he wrote for the Guardian, he expressed feeling “duped” and encouraged companies to explore alternative fuels like hydrogen to promote the sustainability of the internal combustion engine.

However, Atkinson still appreciates the concept of electric cars; he believes that, despite their heavy and expensive lithium-ion batteries, they are not the all-encompassing solution for the environment that they claim to be. His personal car collection includes notable vehicles such as a McLaren F1, Lancia Delta Integrale HF, and an Acura NSX, in addition to the GR Yaris.
