NLS: Walkenhorst Motorsport had a perfect weekend.

At the highlight of the Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS) season, Walkenhorst Motorsport emerged as the big winner with their BMW M4 GT3. Christian Krognes and Jakub Giermaziak in car #34 won both races in impressive fashion. Despite starting from the final position on Saturday, they fought their way to first place. On Sunday, they started sixth but quickly took the lead and secured a commanding victory, finishing nearly three minutes ahead of their teammates in car #35. The #34 crew is currently leading the team standings in the SP9 Pro class and the NLS Speed Trophy with two races remaining. However, Walkenhorst Motorsport’s Pro-Am car, car #36, retired from both races.

In total, BMW M Motorsport teams claimed 15 class wins across the two races in the NLS. Notably, FK Performance Motorsport’s BMW M4 GT4 dominated the SP10 class, while Adrenalin Motorsport Team Motec’s BMW 330i defended its lead in the NLS overall standings with two wins in the VT2-R+4WD class. Other class victories were achieved by BMW M240i, BMW M2 CS, V4, SP4, SP6, and H4. Samantha Tan from Schnitzelalm Racing won the race on Saturday and finished third on Sunday in the BMW M240i Racing, earning her permit.

British GT Championship: Dan Harper and Darren Leung triumph at Brands Hatch.

Dan Harper and Darren Leung from Century Motorsport secured their second victory of the season in the British GT Championship at Brands Hatch. Project Pigeon: Training Birds to Guide Bombs During WWII

During World War II, a project called Project Pigeon was developed to utilize pigeons in guiding missiles. Since pigeons lack hands and therefore cannot pilot missiles like humans pilot planes, B. F. Skinner, the designer of the project, focused on their natural ability to peck at objects.

As Skinner continued to develop Project Pigeon, he discovered that using three pigeons instead of one improved the system. This was because even a momentary pause or mistake by a single pigeon could cause the missile to veer dangerously off course. By having two co-pilots for the pigeon and implementing a “net signal” produced by all three, potential errors were greatly reduced.
