Kawasaki is taking orders for these bikes in the US, with delivery expected to start from December 2023 through June 2024. The starting price for the Ninja e-1 is $7,599, and for the Z e-1 is $7,299.

Million-Dollar Barn Find Uncovers Classic Corvettes With Less Than 100 Miles

Finding a classic car with low mileage hidden away in a barn is a dream come true for many enthusiasts. But discovering several of them takes it to a whole new level. And when those classics happen to be Corvettes, it becomes nothing short of extraordinary. One such discovery includes a 1990 Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1, still wrapped in delivery plastic with only 25 miles on the odometer. But that’s just the beginning of this amazing find of 23 cars.

This collection consists of nine Corvettes, three pickup trucks, classic and modern muscle cars, and more. The collection was showcased on The John Clay Wolfe Show’s YouTube channel, where the vehicles were inspected and shipped to their new home in Texas. Apart from the ZR-1, the collection also features a 1988 35th Anniversary Corvette with 25 miles and a 1979 Stingray with 41 miles, both still in their original packaging. If you prefer higher-mileage barn finds, there’s a 1974 Stingray with 30,000 miles. The oldest Corvette in the collection is a 1971 Stingray with 1,600 miles.

If Corvettes aren’t your thing, this collection also boasts a 1990 Chevrolet 454 SS pickup, known for sparking the modern muscle-truck era, with a mere 19 miles on the clock. Its Ford counterpart, a 1999 F-150 SVT Lightning, sits alongside it in the collection with 46 miles. A 1966 Chevy C10 shows just 9,000 miles on the odometer, while classics like a 1965 Mustang Convertible and a 1968 Camaro SS 396 add to the mix. For those interested in the modern Ford/GM pony car rivalry, a 2003 Mustang SVT Cobra with 4,900 miles and a 2001 Pontiac Firebird Trans AM WS6 with only 247 miles are included as well.

But the surprises don’t end there.

How about a 2010 Camaro SS with only 47 miles? Or a 1987 Buick Grand National that has covered just 13,800 miles? The collection even includes some larger vehicles, such as a 1973 Lincoln Continental Mk IV, with a respectable 830 miles on the clock. Returning to Corvettes, there are two C5s in the find, one of which is a 1998 Indy 500 pace car edition, having covered a mere 23 miles.

This incredible collection was assembled over many decades by Earl Trammel, a car enthusiast and businessman from Alabama, who unfortunately passed away in 2022. The collection was initially inherited by Trammel’s ex-wife, and later acquired by GiveMeTheVin.com. A video sent to Motor1.com features the founder of the company, John Clay Wolfe, discussing the discovery.

“After we bought the pace car, I was curious to know what else she had,” said Wolfe.

John Pierce, working together with his business partner John Pierce, realized the extent of the collection and decided to acquire it. According to the press release from GiveMeTheVin, the cars will be showcased for auction in the spring, although Wolfe seems uncertain about actually selling the entire collection, at least for now.

“The barn in Alabama where the cars were found was tiny and looked insignificant. You would never expect to find a million dollars worth of cars in there,” explained Wolfe. “I don’t know what to do. I know their value won’t decrease, so we’re good there. Maybe I’ll be the crazy guy who bought them. Maybe the next time you hear about them will be when I die and people come to empty out my barn. I’m extremely happy to have them, and this is by far the biggest find of my career.”

Pirelli P Zero AS Plus 3: A Tire for All-Season Performance in North America

Living in a region with four seasons can make it difficult to find a tire that meets all your performance needs. However, Pirelli believes it has the answer with the P Zero AS Plus 3. This ultra high performance tire is designed to be capable of performing in all seasons. It is a significant upgrade from its predecessor, the P Zero All Season Plus, as it has been completely redesigned for 2023.

Pirelli recognizes the importance of all-season tires in the North American market. According to the company, 94% of tires sold in this region are all-season tires. With this in mind, Pirelli focused on improving the AS Plus 3’s grip in all conditions, especially during braking. Additionally, since drivers in North America tend to cover long distances, Pirelli also worked on enhancing tire wear and reducing rolling resistance.

Pirelli P Zero AS Plus 3

To achieve these improvements, the AS Plus 3 features a new tread pattern with 3D sipe technology. This technology enhances performance in wet and snowy conditions, with Pirelli claiming a 20% improvement in snow braking and a 10% improvement in wet braking compared to its predecessor. Additionally, dry braking performance is also enhanced by 4% compared to the older model.

However, the tread pattern is just one aspect of the AS Plus 3. Pirelli also utilized a new compound that enhances grip and tire wear. This results in a 25% improvement in wear and a 10% reduction in rolling resistance. Even when the tire is half-worn, Pirelli states that 99% of its overall performance remains intact. The AS Plus 3 comes with a 50,000-mile treadwear warranty and retains 82% of its performance at the end of its life.

Despite Pirelli’s claims, real-world testing has also shown positive results. Jonathan Benson, a tire expert and head of Tyre Reviews, attended the AS Plus 3’s launch in June. He praised the tire’s steering response and conducted a comprehensive test comparing the new Pirelli tire to six competing ultra high performance all-season tires. The results were favorable for the P Zero AS Plus 3, with it ranking near or at the top in various categories. You can watch Benson’s video review embedded in this article.

Pirelli North American President and CEO Claudio Zanardo expressed confidence in the P Zero AS Plus 3’s ability to exceed customer expectations, providing an excellent driving experience and exceptional performance in all conditions. The tire is available in 31 sizes ranging from 17 to 20 inches and is currently on the market.

Watch One Rider Challenge Herself To Lift Her Bike 100 Times A Day

It can be challenging to find the right bike, especially if you’re a short rider. The challenges faced by shorter riders are different from those faced by taller riders. Doodle on a Motorcycle, a motovlogger, regularly receives unsolicited advice about her choice of bike and her ability to lift it. In response, she turned these comments into a challenge for herself.

Doodle had been wanting to incorporate strength training into her life for a long time. Setting a challenge to lift her bike 100 times a day allowed her to work towards her goal. During the challenge, she consulted experts and received feedback on her technique.

Every rider is different, and what works for one person may not work for another. Doodle realized that she needed to adjust her lifting strategy when she felt the strain in her shoulders and arms instead of her legs. She modified her approach and continued the challenge.

However, she encountered knee pain at a certain point in the challenge. To prevent further injury, she decided to scale back her efforts. She didn’t want to give up entirely, so she modified the challenge to meet her needs and abilities.

After completing the challenge, Doodle noticed a significant improvement in her ability to lift her bike. She now feels more confident in her ability to handle dropped bikes during her future road trips.

Tire Test Highlights Differences Between High-Performance Road And Race Rubber

Finding the right tire for your car goes beyond just picking the correct size. Numerous manufacturers produce a variety of options with unique benefits and detriments. Not all tires are created equal, and a new video pits the recently launched Bridgestone Potenza Race tire against two other family members – the Potenza Sport and the Potenza RE-71RS.

In this test, the Potenza Sport is considered the mainstream tire designed for most people and most driving situations, competing with the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. On the other hand, the Potenza Race is the sportier tire that combines the experience of the Sport and the RE-71RS into one.

The Potenza Sport provided crisp and dynamic steering in the Honda Civic Si without much road noise. However, compared to the Potenza Race tire, it felt sluggish during the test, according to reviewer Jonathan Benson.

Initially, Benson was disappointed with the Race tire, a rival of the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2, because it felt sluggish at speeds under 20 miles per hour but performed well at 30 mph and above. However, he found it difficult to find anything to criticize about the tire as Bridgestone kept the noise, vibration, and harshness in check without sacrificing comfort compared to the Potenza Sport.

The European Union label supports these findings, indicating that the Race tire has a slightly lower decibel rating than the Sport tire. The Race tires are as comfortable as the Sport tires but slightly stiffer when driving over harsher road imperfections.

According to Benson, the Potenza RE-71RS is lovely to drive but not suitable for everyday use. Bridgestone designed this tire to maximize lap times, even though it’s road-legal.

The Potenza Sport is not the best tire for the track as it doesn’t perform well under hard pushing. It tends to heat up quickly, resulting in slower lap times and increased degradation. On the other hand, the Potenza Race tires take some time to heat up on the track but provide a pleasant driving experience. The RE-71RS also heats up quickly and performs well on the track.

Nissan Employee Gives Life-Saving Kidney to Coworker

Finding an organ donor can be a challenging and lengthy process for the 100,000 Americans awaiting a kidney transplant. It is often difficult to find a close match among family members, let alone friends and neighbors. However, in a remarkable turn of events, a Nissan employee with kidney failure found his perfect match at work – his best friend.

In 2017, Josh Bredeson, a dealer technician at Landers McClarty Nissan in Huntsville, Alabama, initially believed he had the flu. However, a visit to urgent care revealed that he was actually suffering from kidney failure at the age of 39. Despite his diagnosis, Bredeson went on to win the US portion of the 2018 Nissan International Service Technical Excellence Contest (NISTEC), making him the highest-ranked dealer tech in the country. This achievement led to a promotion in 2021, and he began working at the dealer technical support center at the Nissan Smyrna Manufacturing Plant in Smyrna, Tennessee.

By a stroke of luck, Bredeson’s best friend, Josh Shaffer, also worked as a data analyst at the Smyrna plant. The plant previously produced the 720 pickup and currently manufactures the popular Rogue and Pathfinder models. Shaffer took on this role shortly after Bredeson’s promotion.

Although Bredeson’s new desk job was less physically demanding than his previous position, his kidney disease continued to progress. By March 2022, his kidneys were functioning at only 20 percent, and he was placed on the transplant list. In the first month, eight close friends and family members underwent blood tests to determine if they were a match.

Among the potential donors was Shaffer, who, along with the others, underwent a series of tests at the Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville. These tests included ultrasounds, X-rays, a CT scan, an EKG, and a four-hour blood draw. The results determined that Shaffer was the best candidate to donate a kidney, and he immediately agreed to do so.

On January 4, 2023, both Shaffer and Bredeson arrived at the Vanderbilt Medical Center for the life-saving surgery. Shaffer went first to have one of his kidneys removed and prepared for transplantation. Two hours later, Bredeson had his kidney transplant. Both operations were successful, and Shaffer was discharged two days later, followed by Bredeson a day after.

The transplant was a success, and six months later, Shaffer was doing well while Bredeson’s kidney function had improved to 70 percent with no signs of rejection or damage. The two individuals are using their experience to shed light on the estimated 37 million Americans with kidney disease, of whom 90 percent may be unaware of their condition.

“Hopefully, this is a story that will reach someone who may be suffering but doesn’t know why,” Bredeson said. “Maybe this will inspire someone to get checked or become a donor.”

Old Honda CR-V Is a Fantastic Overlanding SUV With Bed, Fridge, and More

People are discovering innovative and creative ways to travel the world. With advancements in technology and affordable used cars, we now have the opportunity to build our dream campers and hit the road with everything we need. While some may prefer luxurious motorhomes, others find joy in converting a Japanese crossover into a smart camper. One example is Nate and his dog Bobby, who don’t need a million-dollar RV to explore and be happy.

For his overlander, Nate uses a 2005 Honda CR-V as the base. The second-generation CR-V is a robust and durable SUV with a boxy shape that provides enough interior space to transform it into a cozy living area. Nate, a videographer and photographer, aimed to create a camper that can sleep one person and accommodate all his professional equipment, as well as a comfortable spot for his dog to sleep.

Despite its small size, it’s impressive that this CR-V camper includes a fridge. Nate has installed an electric cooling box below his bed, which is connected to the vehicle’s electric system. He has even added extra insulation to reduce energy consumption and keep his drinks cooler.

To keep such a small space organized, Nate has maximized storage with various drawers. He uses a plastic three-drawer storage organizer and many smaller plastic drawers hidden in different spaces under and around the bed. Bobby, his dog, has his own spot on the front passenger seat, where he sleeps and enjoys the view through the windshield. Finally, Nate has installed a small diesel heater with an integrated exhaust pipe underneath the vehicle.

If you’re considering a life on the road for the next few months with your old SUV, you may be wondering about necessary upgrades and potential difficulties. Nate can provide answers to almost all your questions in the video at the top of this page, where he reviews his 2005 CR-V camper.
