Bugatti has released a teaser for an extraordinary new version of the Chiron that will make its debut on August 10. The car will also be showcased at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering on August 18.
The teaser images provide a glimpse of the car’s design. One image shows the Chiron in profile, with a shadow covering the car. The background features arches and golden lighting.
A brief video teaser depicts a person walking towards the vehicle in the same setting, but does not reveal more of the car’s design.
The final teaser showcases sketches of the Chiron in gold on a black background, with the artist’s hand visible.
The hashtag “#GoldenEra” suggests that the abundance of gold is not just a coincidence and that there is something significant about the color or the precious metal gold in this vehicle.
Bugatti has nearly completed production of the Chiron, with only 100 more examples left to build.
The company has confirmed that the successor to the Chiron will debut in 2024 and will be the first new model under Rimac’s ownership.
The Chiron was unveiled at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show and deliveries began in 2017. Bugatti has always intended to produce only 500 units of the Chiron, including special variants.
The Chiron is equipped with a quad-turbocharged 8.0-liter W16 engine that produces between 1,479 and 1,578 horsepower, depending on the model.
In 2022, Bugatti achieved a record delivery of 80 vehicles, including the limited-production Centodieci. The company also launched a pre-owned program to facilitate the sale of used Bugatti vehicles.
This year’s Monterey Car Week will feature several vehicle debuts, including the Acura ZDX, an Aston Martin, and a Lamborghini. Specific details about these debuts are yet to be revealed.
