The Venue Knight Edition gets several visual updates and brings back the ‘proper’ manual with the turbo-petrol engine
Venue Knight Edition is priced from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 13.48 lakh (ex-showroom).
Available in black, white, grey, red, and red with black roof exterior shades.
Gets a blacked-out finish and brass-coloured inserts all around the exterior.
The interior is also covered in an all-black theme with brass inserts.
New features include dual camera dash cam and electrochromic IRVM.
Available with 1.2-litre petrol and 1-litre turbo-petrol engine options.
The Hyundai Venue joins the all-black car club with the new Knight Edition. It is the second car from Hyundai, after the Creta, to get the blacked-out treatment. However, it is also offered in four other colours for a contrast black aesthetic instead of the usual chrome treatment. Hyundai is offering the Venue Knight Edition with multiple petrol engines and transmission options, and has not limited it to the top-spec variant either.

The Venue Knight Edition ranges from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 13.48 lakh, commanding a premium of up to Rs 33,000 over the corresponding variants.
Exterior Visual Changes
Changes on board the Knight Edition include a black finish on the grille, logo, roof rails, shark-fin antenna, ORVMs, skid plates, and alloy wheels. There are also brass inserts on the front and rear bumpers, front wheels, and roof rail. The front brake calipers are painted red and there’s the ‘Knight’ emblem on board. The S (O) variant doesn’t get alloys, but does sport black wheel covers.
It can be obtained in four single-tone shades – Abyss Black, Atlas White, Titan Gray, and Fiery Red – and one dual-tone shade: Fiery Red with Abyss Black.
The dual-tone interior of the Venue is replaced by an all-black theme in the Knight edition. It also gets brass-coloured inserts all over the cabin, including the black seat upholstery with chrome accents. For a sportier and premium look inside, the pedals get a metal finish and it gets 3D designer mats.
New Features Too
The dual camera dashcam has been brought over from the Venue N Line, especially for the Knight Edition variants. The S(O) MT variant also gets an electrochromic IRVM, which is available from the SX variant.
The existing set of features on board the Venue include an electric sunroof, an 8-inch touchscreen system, wireless charger, up to six airbags, a tyre pressure monitoring system, and a rear parking camera.
Powertrain Options
The Venue Knight Edition can be opted with the existing 1.2-litre petrol and 1-litre turbo-petrol engines. The petrol engine is tuned for 83PS and 114Nm, and is paired with a 5-speed manual ‘box.
A surprising update for the Knight Edition is the inclusion of the 6-speed manual with the turbo-petrol engine, as opposed to the iMT (manual without clutch pedal) offered on the regular variants. The turbo-petrol engine develops 120PS and 172Nm and gets the option of a 7-speed DCT as well.
There’s also a 115PS 1.5-litre diesel engine on offer with a manual transmission with the Venue, though not with the Knight Edition.
The regular Hyundai Venue rivals the likes of Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV300, Tata Nexon, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnite and the Maruti Fronx. The only rival to the Knight Edition would be the Dark variants of the Tata Nexon as well as the Kia Sonet X-Line.
Maruti Brezza, Tata Nexon and Hyundai Venue are the only three subcompact SUVs that crossed the sales mark of 10,000 units
The subcompact SUV sales numbers are out for July 2023, and the segment received month-on-month (MoM) loss of over 4 percent. However, the Maruti Brezza performed fairly well and overtook the Tata Nexon. But except for the Brezza, sales of all other SUVs went down MoM.
The model-wise sales of each of these SUVs have been detailed below:

Key Takeaways
Maruti Brezza overtook the Tata Nexon in July 2023, and became the best-selling subcompact SUV. It was the only offering in the segment that saw a positive MoM growth by over 56 percent. Its July sales stood over 16,500 units, which was nearly 3,000 units more than its average sales of the last six months.
Tata Nexon closely followed the Maruti SUV with over 12,300 units sold. That said, its MoM sales went down by more than 10 percent. Do note that this number is inclusive of the sales figures of the Nexon EV Prime and Nexon EV Max too.
Apart from the Brezza and Nexon, the Venue was the only other subcompact SUV to cross the 10,000-unit sales mark in July 2023, which was inclusive of the Venue N Line’s sales numbers as well. The SUV’s market share, therefore, stood shy of 20 percent.
With a drop of more than 45 percent in its MoM numbers, the Kia Sonet’s July sales stood a little over 4,200 units, with its market share dropping below 8.5 percent.
Nissan shipped over 2,000 units of its subcompact SUV, the Magnite. Its MoM sales dipped by almost 15 percent.
The Renault Kiger was the least sought-after subcompact SUV in the month of July 2023 with total sales of just over 1,000 units. Both the Kiger and the Magnite had market shares of under 5 percent.
Lamborghini DNA and exclusive lifestyle in a temporary venue open until September 10th
Sant’Agata Bolognese/Porto Cervo, July 24, 2022 – Automobili Lamborghini, in the year of the brand’s 60th anniversary, creates an exclusive and luxurious Lounge in Porto Cervo for the fifth summer in a row. During this summer the Lamborghini Lounge Porto Cervo, located on Promenade du Port in via Porto Vecchio, will welcome Lamborghini owners traveling to Costa Smeralda as well as greeting new customers in exclusive events and driving activities on some of Sardinia’s most beautiful roads and scintillating landscapes, under extraordinary sunsets. The lounge will remain open until September 10th, open to clients by appointment, and serving as the hub for test drive opportunities of the ‘lifestyle’ Super-SUV Urus S1, and the Huracán Tecnica2.
All Lamborghini Lounges, whether permanent (such as New York and Tokyo) or temporary (such as Doha or Dubai) are a point of reference for Lamborghini VIP customers and guests, combining the lifestyle of Lamborghini with the latest products, and embracing the brand’s DNA. The Lounge Porto Cervo, with its 600-square-meter inside area and the additional private patio, offers an immersive 360˚ brand experience via several elements, with furnishings designed together with partner Living Divani; designed accessories; and further Automobili Lamborghini branded projects.
Once inside, the main stars are two of the most recent super sports cars from Sant’Agata Bolognese. The new Lamborghini Revuelto3 shines in Bianco Monocerus as the marque’s first V12 super sports plug-in hybrid HPEV (High Performance Electrified Vehicle) and represents the next step towards electrification as per the company’s strategy Direzione Cor Tauri. At its side, the Huracán Sterrato4 in Verde Gea goes beyond the expected, being the eclectic first all-terrain car, produced in just 1499 pieces (all sold out).
Welcomed by Lamborghini scent in every corner of the lounge, guests can sip an Italian espresso in the living area furnished by the brand’s Italian partner Living Divani, or taking a closer look at the 3T bike Exploro Racemax x Huracán Sterrato, painted in Verde Gea mirroring the all-terrain V10-powered super sports car. The experience continues with visitors’ immersion into the Lamborghini “Epic Road Trip” NFT projects, where Lamborghini super sports cars are the unmissable protagonists in places that virtual travelers can discover thanks to a QR code explaining the campaign.
A key area of the Lounge Porto Cervo is the seasonal Ad Personam Studio: the dedicated area where even the most demanding Lamborghini customers can release their creativity to configure the super sports car of their dreams. In a vast assortment of samples, a plentitude of exterior colors, interior upholsteries, finishes and details available at Lamborghini can be selected in the virtual configurator with a Lamborghini product specialist. The brand’s main Ad Personam Studio located in Sant’Agata Bolognese re-opened to customers at the begininning of June after a major expansion. With a new setting and customer experience, it is an essential facet for the brand, showcasing more than 400 colours in its portfolio, and offering to customers infinite possibilities to express their own personality in their new super sports cars.
The Lounge experience in Porto Cervo is completed by an artistic representation of a core topic in both the strategy and the daily activity of Lamborghini: sustainability. Five artworks from the project “Inside Lamborghini” composed by Italian photographer Lucrezia Roda are exhibited here, showcasing emblematic examples of how the factory in Sant’Agata Bolognese became C02 neutral in 2015. It has stayed so ever since, even despite doubling the size of the production site: the state-of-the-art paintshop where all Urus are painted with 95% water-based paint, as well as the leather and carbon fiber upcycling process, are fully in line with the company’s philosophy of sustainability.
Originally from Lombardy, Lucrezia Roda’s vision, personal projects and commissions are mainly devoted to industry and the transformation of matter during industrial phases, which she processes and interprets through photography. Her artistic vision is defined by her command over colors and meticulous attention to detail. With industrial landscapes and abstract images, she blurs the lines between industrial photography and personal research.
The new Lamborghini Revuelto
Unveiled at the end of March 2023, the Lamborghini Revuelto is the first super sports V12 hybrid plug-in HPEV (High Performance Electrified Vehicle). Revuelto defines a new paradigm in terms of performance, sportiness and driving pleasure from its unprecedented new architecture; innovative design; maximum-efficiency aerodynamics; and a new carbon frame concept. An output of 1015 CV is delivered from the combined power of an entirely new combustion engine together with three electric motors, alongside a double-clutch gearbox that makes its debut on a 12-cylinder Lamborghini for the first time.
The powertrain combines high specific power elements: the new 128 CV/liter combustion engine works synergically with two front axial flux motors that deliver an outstanding weight-to-power ratio, with a radial flux electric motor positioned above the first eight-speed double-clutch gearbox debuting on a 12-cylinder Lamborghini. The three electric motors are powered by a lithium-ion high specific power (4500 W/kg) battery pack that also supports a fully-electric drive mode.
Carbon fiber, produced via artisan craftmanship in the Sant’Agata Bolognese factory, is the principal structural element within the new car, used not only in the monofuselage and frame but also in all elements of the bodywork apart from the doors and bumpers. The extensive use of carbon fiber and lightweight materials, combined with the potent engine power, contributes to achieving the best weight-to-power ratio in the history of Lamborghini: 1,75 kg/CV.
The new Revuelto combines these attributes together with outstanding new aerodynamic design to deliver performance figures at the peak of its segment: acceleration from 0-100 km/h in only 2,5 seconds; 0-200 km/h in less than seven seconds; and a top speed of more than 350 km/h. These numbers combine with its exceptional dynamism thanks to the introduction of electric torque vectoring, and four-wheel drive available also in fully-electric drive mode, ensuring the Revuelto super sports car expresses its amplified qualities both on track and in daily driving.

2 Fuel consumption and emission values of Huracán Tecnica; Fuel consumption combined: 14,5 l/100km (WLTP); CO₂-emissions combined: 328 g/km (WLTP)
3 The vehicle is not yet offered for sale and is therefore not subject to Directive 1999/94/EC. The fuel consumption and emissions data are in the type of approval stage.
4 Fuel consumption and emission values of Huracán Sterrato; Fuel consumption combined: 14,9 l/100km (WLTP); CO2-emissions combined: 337 g/km (WLTP)
Hyundai Venue surpasses Maruti Brezza to become the second best-selling subcompact SUV
In June, the sub-4m SUV segment in India saw a 4.5% decline in month-on-month (MoM) sales. Despite this, three sub-4m SUVs crossed the 10,000 unit sales mark last month. The Tata Nexon continues to dominate the segment in terms of volume, but let’s take a closer look at the model-wise sales numbers for June 2023.

Key Takeaways
Tata Nexon remains the leader in sales, with nearly 14,000 units sold in June 2023 despite a 4% MoM drop. It’s important to note that these numbers include the sales of Nexon EV Max and Nexon EV Prime. Tata is currently working on the Nexon facelift for 2024, as spy shots have surfaced online.
With a MoM growth of over 13%, Hyundai Venue has climbed to the second spot in the sales chart for subcompact SUVs in June. Hyundai sold over 11,500 units of the Venue and currently holds over a fifth of the segment’s market share.
Maruti Brezza experienced the highest MoM decline of over 21% and dropped to the third position in the sales chart. Although it still managed to cross the 10,000 unit sales mark, its sales in June 2023 were over 3,000 units lower compared to its average sales over the last six months.
The Kia Sonet continues to hold the fourth position in the monthly sales tally for the segment, with over 7,500 units sold last month. It experienced a MoM decline of nearly 6.5%.
The Renault Kiger remains the lowest-selling subcompact SUV in June 2023, despite a MoM growth of over 7.5%. It did not exceed 2,000 units in sales last month.
The Venue is the entry-level SUV in Hyundai’s lineup and is their most affordable offering since its introduction in the 2020 model year. Although the Hyundai Venue is one of the lowest-priced crossovers on the market today, it still features a surprisingly high level of standard equipment.
With its spacious interior, fuel-efficient engine, and high safety rating, the Venue is a great choice for the first-time customer, especially those looking for a sub-compact family hauler. Some of the competition in the budget-friendly entry-level crossovers space include the Nissan Kicks, Kia Soul, and Toyota C-HR.
With a 121 horsepower four-cylinder engine, it lacks the horsepower for serious performance, but it is quite capable of cruising city streets. While many crossovers offer AWD, the Venue is only available in FWD.
Despite its compact exterior dimensions, the Venue has a spacious cabin, providing a roomy feel and can comfortably seat two adults in the rear seats, with limited space for a third passenger. While the design of the Hyundai Venue may not be swanky, its interior is thoughtfully crafted and features robust buttons and switches. When it comes to safety, the Venue stands out by offering a comprehensive suite of advanced driver-assist systems as standard, which contributed to its Top Safety Pick rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).
The Hyundai Venue comes equipped with a standard 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 121 horsepower and 113 pound-feet of torque. The only transmission option is a CVT. This engine delivers adequate performance in urban environments, although it lacks grunt when pushed. The Venue’s compact dimensions and responsive steering make it an excellent city navigator, which will be its primary habitat. The ride quality of the Hyundai Venue is noteworthy, as it effectively minimizes the impact of most road imperfections. However, some may find it slightly on the stiffer side, bordering on being too firm.

As per the EPA, the 2023 Hyundai Venue returns 29 MPG in the city and 33 MPG on the highway for a combined 31 MPG.
With its slightly smaller size compared to the Kona, the Venue sports a more traditional SUV appearance upfront with narrow turn signals and square headlights, reminiscent of the flagship Hyundai Palisade. It is available in eight colors which incude

Despite its compact size, the Hyundai Venue surprises with its spacious cabin, offering ample room for both front and rear passengers. The well-put-together cabin is further enhanced by a digital gauge cluster and an attractive 8.0-inch infotainment system with Apple Carplay and Android Auto support, while navigation is available in the highest Limited trim. The SEL trim is the only variant with an optional Gray interior, in addition to the Black.
The SEL trim also comes with a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter knob, while heated front seats and passive entry with push-button start as options. On the Limited trim, these features come standard. It’s worth mentioning that the Limited trim does not offer the optional power sunroof, but the SEL trim does, which is an interesting choice by Hyundai.

Base trims come with a center-console armrest as standard. The Limited trim offers the option of wireless charging, a feature that was previously absent. Despite these considerations, the Venue’s cabin has 60/40 split-folding rear seats, and provides 19 cubic feet of cargo space. Folding the back seat flat expands the cargo area to an impressive 31.9 cubic feet.
Across all trims, the Venue comes equipped with standard safety features such as tire-pressure monitoring, a rearview camera, electronic stability control, traction control, and ABS. The Venue also impresses with its array of driver-assist technologies. These encompass features like
Lane-keeping assist
Pedestrian detection
Collision warning
Driver-attention warning
Automatic high beams
Rear-seat occupancy alert (New for 2023)
For added peace of mind, the higher two trims feature blind-spot detection and rear cross-traffic alert.
While the Hyundai Venue may lack premium features, a closer look at the safety features reveals that Hyundai has done an admirable job of equipping even its most affordable model with essential safety technologies. There is also a comprehensive airbag system consisting of six airbags, including dual-front, front-side, and curtain airbags for all outboard seating positions.
Despite its boxy unconventional looks, the Kia Soul remains nimble in corners with its confident handling and 147-horsepower four-cylinder engine, it maintains a smooth ride quality in different driving conditions. The Kia Soul stands out as a great alternate choice for buyers seeking great value and a roomy interior packed with an array of standard features. The Kia Soul is also very similarly priced, starting at $19,890.
The Nissan Kicks has a similar powertrain with 122 horsepower, it is similarly affordability and has impressive fuel efficiency. The Kicks may appear sluggish on paper, but its main strength lies in its excellent fuel economy. Front-wheel drive is the only option here as well, but it delivers an impressive 36 MPG on the highway. The Nissan Kicks starts at $20,440.
A front 3/4 studio shot of a Mazda CX-30
The Mazda CX-30 stands out in this space with its impressive performance and more upscale interior. Equipped with a peppy 191-horsepower base engine, this compact SUV delivers ample power for most driving situations. Mazda offers an enhanced driving experience by pairing it with a six-speed automatic transmission, providing a more engaging feel compared to the CVTs found in rivals. Additionally, the CX-30 comes standard with all-wheel drive, further enhancing its appeal. At $22,950 it is comparatively a little more expensive, but the Mazda has performance to back up the premium.
At this price, Hyundai has put together a capable SUV which is a great choice for folks who are looking for their first car. While there is some good competition to consider, the Venue has a proven track history with reliability, safety, and fuel economy. Maybe in the next generation, we will get to see a version with AWD or a hybrid powertrain to make it more appealing.
In the event of any unforeseen issues, it brings peace of mind to know that the Venue is backed by one of the most comprehensive warranties in the industry. Hyundai offers a generous five-year/60,000-mile new vehicle warranty, ensuring confidence in the quality and reliability of the vehicle. The powertrain is covered by an impressive ten-year/100,000-mile warranty, providing long-term protection for critical components.
Additionally, Hyundai includes a seven-year anti-perforation warranty, offering coverage against rust and corrosion regardless of the mileage accumulated. For added reassurance, 24-hour roadside assistance is available for five years, ensuring support in case of emergencies or breakdowns. With such an extensive warranty package, the Hyundai Venue demonstrates Hyundai’s commitment to delivering exceptional reliability and customer satisfaction.
Hyundai Venue follows closely behind, lagging by a few thousand units
In May 2023, the subcompact SUV market witnessed relatively stable demand, with a total of over 55,000 units sold. While some models experienced growth, others faced a decline. The Maruti Brezza saw the most significant gains, whereas the Kia Sonet suffered a notable loss. Meanwhile, the Tata Nexon maintained its position at the top of the list.

Key Takeaways
Despite a month-on-month (MoM) decline of nearly 4 percent, Tata Nexon continues to lead the sales chart with over 14,000 units sold in May 2023. It’s important to note that these figures include the sales of Nexon EV Prime and Nexon EV Max.
The demand for the Hyundai Venue remained stable, making it the only subcompact SUV, apart from Nexon and Brezza, to surpass the 10,000 units mark in May 2023.
Despite a notable MoM sales growth of over 45 percent, the Kiger remains the lowest-selling subcompact SUV in May 2023, with fewer than 2,000 units sold.
