Stunning One-Off Ferrari KC23 Makes Spectacular Debut At Goodwood

Ferrari is known for producing special one-off performance vehicles for its most loyal clients in addition to its regular road and track cars. One of the most notable examples is the KC23, which made its debut at Goodwood this week.

The KC23 is based on the Ferrari 488 GT3 but boasts a radical and unique design. It features butterfly doors and styling elements inspired by the Vision Gran Turismo and the 499P endurance hypercar, which won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June. The car has a silver metallic finish called Gold Mercury, which incorporates liquid metal in four layers of paint, giving it a striking mirror-like sheen.

Aside from its distinctive design and paint job, the KC23 also includes motorized air intakes and body panels that adjust based on the engine’s temperature. The rear wing is removable, allowing for additional downforce during track days, or it can be taken off to showcase the car’s pure form in a garage.

10 2004 Dodge Ram SRT-10: Viper Power In A Half-Ton Truck

What Makes It Iconic: Dodge Viper 8.3-liter V-10 engine

Red Dodge Ram SRT-10
Dodge
Front and side shot of a Red 2004 Dodge Ram SRT-10 parked

The 2004 Dodge Ram SRT-10 pickup truck is imaginative and creative but wasn’t as useful as most trucks. The Viper engine enabled the SRT-10 to be the fastest full-size truck in production at the time.

Pros

  • 5.3-second sprint to 60 mph
  • 500 horsepower
  • 150 mph top speed

Cons

  • The clutch wasn’t made for the Viper engine
  • Cold starts are challenging
  • Poor Fuel economy numbers

This Dodge Ram was a great option for owners looking for a fast truck for some fun driving as long as they didn’t need a truck to actually do truck stuff. The SRT-10 was fast and impressive, but it wasn’t made for towing or carrying heavy loads, which is what most truck owners look for in a pickup.

9 1970 Chevrolet El Camino SS 454 LS6: Is This A Real Truck?

What Makes It Iconic: Car/Truck Combination

Many might argue the 1970 Chevrolet El Camino wasn’t a real truck, but this model came with insane power. At the time, 450 horsepower wasn’t achievable in most vehicles, but the massive LS6 engine brings 7.4-liter of displacement to the 454 V-8 engine, making this a high-performance car/truck combo.

Pros

  • Muscle car good looks
  • Useful open-bed cargo area
  • Powerful V-8 LS6 engine

Cons

  • Polarizing build
  • Better as a muscle car than a truck
  • Limited towing capacity

The El Camino, when classified as a truck, is easily one of the most iconic models ever made. The muscle car front end with a pickup truck bed makes this vehicle the mullet of the truck world.

8 1994 Dodge Ram: Revolutionary Style Made A Splash

What Makes It Iconic: Intentionally Polarizing Design

Dodge Ram
Bring a Trailer
3/4 front view of 1994 Dodge Ram 1500

Before the 1994 model arrived, Dodge Ram trucks weren’t considered to be capable or attractive trucks. Rather than attempt to follow the worn path of another brand, Dodge intentionally gave the Ram pickup a polarizing design borrowed from big rigs. This design served to bring Dodge Ram trucks back from the dead.

Pros

  • 4,800-pound towing capacity
  • 1,721-pound payload
  • Iconic, polarizing style

Cons

  • Poor factory paint job
  • Water pumps fail early
  • Dodge trucks ranked behind GM and Ford pickups

From the first year of this new truck generation to the second, the Dodge Ram pickup showed a 240% increase in sales, which showed the popularity of this new design. The large crosshair front grill and massive build became a Dodge staple.

7 1999 Ford SVT F-150 Lightning: The Return Of A Performance Champion

What Makes It Iconic: Supercharged Triton V-8 Engine

The 1999 Ford SVT F-150 Lightning was reborn for a second generation after leaving the market for a few years. This second attempt at a high-powered truck was exciting, and sold more than double the number of trucks from the first generation.

Pros

  • Incredible truck power – 360 hp, 440 lb-ft
  • 5,000-pound towing capacity
  • 0-60 MPH in only 6.2 seconds

Cons

  • Lacks maneuverability on par with the speed
  • Lower-powered F-150s tow more weight
  • Lacks off-road capabilities

The Lightning name is usually mentioned when the thought of iconic, powerful, and fast trucks comes up. However, this name is now used for an electric pickup, it’s hard to get the impressive, supercharged Triton engine off the mind of those who understand what this truck brings to the drive.

6 1978 Dodge Little Red Express: An Unusually Fast Truck

What Makes It Iconic: Fastest Detroit Vehicle Of The Time

The gas crisis of the 1970s, coupled with new emissions regulations, caused many performance vehicles to lack that special sauce that made them fun. The 1978 Dodge Little Red Express is one of the most iconic pickup trucks by being faster than the Corvette and other Detroit-born performance vehicles during the late 1970s.

Pros

  • Massive 5.8-liter V-8 engine
  • 100 MPH top speed
  • Relatively light at 3,815 pounds

Cons

  • Built for speed, not towing
  • Too much body roll to be fast around a track
  • Second-year models weren’t as popular

A loophole in the emissions regulations allowed Dodge to build some models of the Little Red Express with four-barrel carburetors and others with catalytic converters. The Little Red Express is popular for featuring the step-side D100 body and semi-truck-like exhaust pipes.

5 1992 GMC Syclone: Midsize GMC Performance Fun

What Makes It Iconic: Corvette Engine For Insane Truck Speed

Black 1993 GMC Syclone
GMC
Front three-quarter shot of a black 1993 GMC Syclone

Love it or hate it, the 1991 GMC Syclone is one of the hottest small pickup trucks ever made, and it set the trend for many others to follow. This high-performance version of the GMC Sonoma midsize truck featured a lowered stance, performance suspension, and a powerful engine.

Pros

  • 0-60 MPH sprint in 4.5 seconds
  • Quickest midsize truck
  • 4WD system

Cons

  • Made for speed, not for truck stuff
  • 4-speed automatic transmission
  • Mostly a parts bin build

The GMC Syclone brought real speed to the road with full-time 4WD that sent 35 percent of the torque to the front wheels and the remaining 65 percent to the rear. Toss in the limited-slip differential in the rear, and you’ve got a small truck that rockets off the line.

The earliest Raptor brings a wide body and thick tires to the off-road trails, making it fun to drive this F-150 where there aren’t any roads. The SVT team added extended suspension arms in the front and long-travel Fox Racing shocks in the rear. The Raptor’s name quickly became the most impressive truck on the trails.

Pros

  • Refined ride
  • Quiet interior
  • Excellent style

Cons

  • Lackluster truck performance
  • The steering wheel doesn’t telescope
  • Low fuel mileage figures

The first name that comes to mind when you think of high-speed off-road trucks is the Ford F-150 Raptor. Today’s models don’t have the SVT name, but this original version came in limited numbers and could race across the desert at speeds over 100 mph.

3 1958 Datsun 220: An Early Compact Truck

What Makes It Iconic: The Start Of The Compact Truck Era

The late 1958 through the 1970s was a strange time in the American automotive landscape. American trucks were growing bigger, but there was a need for a small, economical truck to handle short drives and light loads. This was the perfect place for the 1958 Datsun 220 to shine.

Pros

  • Filled a need for efficiency
  • The first compact truck, ushering in a new truck class
  • Was the predecessor to small Nissan trucks

Cons

  • Build on the Datsun 210 sedan chassis
  • Small 48-hp engine
  • Lacked power and ruggedness

Whether you look at the Datsun 220 as an iconic pickup truck that started a new class or blame it for making trucks smaller, it was the first truck of its size in North America. Compact trucks lasted for several years and are making a comeback as trucks continue to grow.

2 1989 Dodge Ram Cummins Turbodiesel: Dodge Had Nothing To Lose

What Makes It Iconic: The Cummins Diesel Engine

Dodge struggled mightily to sell trucks in the 1980s, giving them a slight edge. How do you have an edge during a struggle? When you have nothing to lose, trying anything and everything is easy. The 1989 Dodge Ram Cummins Turbodiesel became the first American pickup with a heavy-duty turbocharged diesel engine.

Pros

  • 5.9-liter Cummins turbocharged diesel 6-cylinder engine
  • Revolutionized towing and fuel mileage
  • Started a new era in the three-quarter and one-ton truck market

Cons

  • Dodge was nearly dead in the 1980s truck market
  • Weak automatic transmission
  • An abundance of rust issues

The power output from the Cummins engine was 160 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque, which revolutionized towing and fuel mileage in the heavy-duty truck class. This impressive Dodge could pull up to 11,900 pounds, making it one of the strongest trucks of its time.

1 1925 Ford Model T Runabout With Pickup Body: The First Truck For Farmers

What Makes It Iconic: It Was The First Pickup Truck

The first of anything has to be iconic, and the 1925 Ford Model T Runabout with the pickup body was the first real pickup truck. This truck could handle a medium-sized load of produce or equipment and was ideal for farmers to bring their wares into town.

Pros

  • Relatively low cost of $281 at the time
  • 38,000 models sold in the first year
  • Top speed of 45 mph (quick for the time)

Cons

  • It’s a truck built on the Model T chassis
  • Lack of safety and comfort features
  • Small cargo area compared to horse-drawn wagons

The Ford Model T was an amazing vehicle, made affordable because of the assembly line and interchangeable parts that made it possible for nearly every American to own one. The Pickup body made perfect sense, with nearly 35 percent of the population still living on farms.

Watch the Restoration and Rebirth of a Fire-Damaged Honda CG125

What makes a motorcycle special? It’s not usually about the spec sheet or how rare it is. It’s the sentimental attachment that makes a bike truly special. Maybe it’s your first bike, or maybe it has a connection to someone important in your life. For the woman behind the Autumn Car Playing channel on YouTube, her 1989 Honda CG125 holds a special place in her heart because it belonged to her dad. It’s the bike of her childhood and the one she remembers most fondly.

Unfortunately, her CG125 sat for a long time and was severely damaged in a fire. The CG125 is a popular commuter motorbike sold in various markets around the world. In Europe, it’s often used as a learner bike, while in many Asian and Latin American countries, it’s a reliable everyday commuter. Despite there being many CG125s out there, this particular one held immense sentimental value for ACP, so she decided to undertake a complete restoration.

This timelapse video condenses the full series of the teardown and restoration of the bike into around 10 minutes. If you want to watch the entire process, the playlist is available in our sources for you to view each chapter individually without the fast-forwarding of time.

The restoration process begins with the disassembly of the engine, revealing a sludgy interior and worn-out parts. A complete engine teardown follows, allowing for a thorough cleaning and reassembly with fresh, new parts. Thankfully, ACP has access to a well-equipped workshop, including a large ultrasonic cleaner capable of handling all the engine parts, even the cases.

Once the engine parts are clean, it’s time to polish the exterior to a mirror-like shine. ACP demonstrates the advantage of having proper equipment, making the job much easier. With the engine reassembled using new parts, the focus shifts to the burned-out chassis.

ACP systematically disassembles the chassis, removes the damaged paint, and proceeds to clean, prime, and repaint the frame. The spoked wheels also receive attention, being disassembled, cleaned, respoked, balanced, and fitted with new tires. By the end of the project, the humble fire-damaged CG125 has been transformed into a stylish café racer.

As the video concludes, ACP kickstarts the bike and the completely rebuilt engine and exhaust produce a satisfying sound. The bike of her childhood has been reborn after the fire, making it even more special.

5 Key Changes To The New 2024 Toyota Vellfire

The updated design of the Toyota Vellfire makes it easier to distinguish from its more premium sibling, the Alphard

The new Toyota Vellfire has made its international debut with updated looks and overall improvements. Given the luxury MPV is also on sale in India and enjoys a fair bit of popularity, we expect the 2024 Vellfire to make its way to our shores too. So let’s find out what the new Vellfire gets over the current version available in India.

Sporty Exterior Design

The 2024 Vellfire gets a massive front grille which looks similar to the one on the latest Toyota Land Cruiser. The headlight and DRL setup is combined and sleeker than the India-spec model’s separate units. The 2024 version also gets massive air dams which house the fog lamps.

On the sides, the new Vellfire gets a more curvy design with a Z-shaped element on the B-pillar. The 19-inch alloy wheels on the updated version come in a black shade with fewer spokes compared to the 17-inch silver alloys we get here.

The rear end now gets a flatter design and the tail lamps are reshaped and extended to the side profile. This tail lamp setup also gets a thin connecting element housing the Toyota logo, with  ‘Vellfire’ badge below. Overall, Toyota has intentionally made the Vellfire MPV look more dynamic while the more premium Alphard stands out as the formal choice.

Changes To The Cabin

The changes to the cabin, especially the cockpit, are significant. It gets a cleaner layout that wraps around the occupants with brown leather upholstery. The 2024 Vellfire gets a new steering wheel, a bigger touchscreen infotainment system and a fully digital driver’s display, over the older India-spec Vellfire.

The climate and audio controls have been moved to the infotainment system and the start/stop button which in the India-spec model is on the right side closer to the door has been moved to the left top behind the steering wheel. The design of the AC vents is also different and the centre AV vents are now positioned horizontally.

Rear Seat Experience

The Vellfire, as a luxury MPV, is known for its rear seat experience, and since the previous version was already very spacious and equipped with a lot of features, the 2024 model doesn’t get many visually notable upgrades. In both versions, you get powered second-row seats with a powered ottoman and ample space. Both also get the option of rear seat entertainment screens and chauffeur controls.

But in the 2024 Vellfire, keeping rear seat comfort in mind, the space for the second and third row has been increased by 5mm and 10mm, respectively. The design of the second-row headrests is now different and the second-row passengers now get small displays on their armrests for controls. The rear seat AC vents’ housing is also bigger and stretches to the third row. Also, unlike the India-spec model, all rear AC vents in the 2024 Vellfire are placed inside the climate control unit housed in the roof.

More Powertrain Options

There is a change in the powertrain as well. The updated Vellfire comes with two engine options: a new 2.4-litre turbo petrol engine with an 8-speed automatic, and a 2.5-litre petrol hybrid engine with an eCVT gearbox. Both get the option of all-wheel drive as well as front-wheel drive systems.

The Vellfire we currently have in India only gets the 2.5-litre petrol hybrid unit with an e-CVT transmission in a four-wheel drivetrain.

Enhanced Safety

While the India-spec model already comes equipped with a host of safety features like seven airbags, brake assist, vehicle stability control (VSC), hill start assist, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and a 360-degree camera, the 2024 Vellfire brings more safety to this list with the addition of driver assistant features like remote parking, lane keep assist, steering assist, and radar-based cruise control.

These were just some of the key differences in the new Toyota Vellfire over the previous version which is currently available in India. When brought here, it would likely be priced at around Rs 1 crore given the current model is priced at Rs 96.55 lakh (ex-showroom).

Lotus Emira First Drive: Refining A Winning Formula

“Adding power makes you faster on the straights, subtracting weight makes you faster everywhere.” -Colin Chapman.

Chapman was a British engineer who, in 1948, founded Lotus with a core philosophy that hasn’t changed over the last seven decades. Whether acting as a vehicle manufacturer or an engineering consulting firm, Lotus’ primary goal has been to build small, agile, and light cars, prioritizing driving enjoyment over almost anything else.

Today, that formula has become a rare one. Thanks to advances in tire and suspension technology, even large, heavy sports cars are quick on a track or a curvy road. However, while there is no shortage of fast cars, the pool of genuinely engaging ones shrinks yearly.

The Emira is Lotus’ final internal combustion car, and the British carmaker went all out for it. Refinements to its cabin layout and interior quality make it a proper Porsche fighter, while its responsive supercharged V6 and six-speed manual transmission are a joy to engage with. Combined with stunning bodywork and a package that tips the scales at a mere 3,175 pounds, the Emira serves as a reminder that a sports car shouldn’t just be about performance figures and straight-line speed. It’s about having fun.

2023 Lotus Emira
Engine: 3.5-Liter Supercharged V6
Output: 400 Horsepower / 310 Pound Feet
0-60 MPH: 4.2 Seconds
Trim Base Price: $107,600
As-Tested Price: $110,220

Lotus aims to only build electric cars by 2028 as part of its Vision80 plan, and the Emira acts as a visual representation of that change. It distinguishes itself from the Evora that preceded it and aligns with the Evija, the brand’s 2,011-hp electric hypercar, of which just 130 units will be built. As a result, it’s not surprising that the Emira gives off a mini-supercar vibe rather than that of a traditional sports car.

At 174 inches long, 75 in wide, and 48 in tall, the Emira is shorter but wider and lower than a Porsche 718 Cayman, its main competitor. Yet despite the dimensional similarities, the Lotus’ styling is the more special of the two.

2023 Lotus Emira

The Emira is a gorgeous two-seater with styling that’s clearly functional but not overdone. Its front hood sports two exit vents which help channel the incoming air neatly over the car, while two massive side pod intakes help cool its mid-mounted engine. Its rear end features two more exit vents, inspired by the Evija’s tail lights, which ventilate air from the rear wheel arch. Thanks to these elements, Lotus didn’t need to incorporate active aero bits to balance out the Emira.

Functionality aside, a major reason why the Emira is such as stunner comes down to its new aluminum architecture. Lotus developed it specifically for the Emira, with no carryover from the Evora, and despite the brand’s upcoming push towards full electrification, this structure isn’t meant to ever house batteries. Thus the Emira benefits from near-perfect sports car proportions because it was never designed to be anything but.

2023 Lotus Emira

Like its lack of active aero elements, the Emira doesn’t offer active suspension components. Buyers can pick between a Touring or a Sports model, each fitted with unique spring and shock combos to prioritize everyday comfort or a stiffer performance-focused setup. These changes live beneath the skin as both variants are visually identical. All Emiras come standard with 20-in V-Spoke wheels wrapped in Goodyear Eagle F1 Supersport Tires, or Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2’s with the Lotus Driver’s Pack available only for the Sports model.

2023 Lotus Emira

I spent a little over 24 hours with a Seneca Blue First Edition V6 Touring, and just like the Evora GT I tested in 2021, Lotus’ latest delivers a unique driving experience, thanks mainly to its weight and size.

It’s powered by a Toyota-sourced 3.5-liter supercharged V6 developing 400 horsepower and 310 pound-feet, all of which goes to its rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission. However, a torque converter automatic is available, which adds an extra 7 lb-ft to its torque output. A Mercedes-AMG-sourced I4 will become available later, mated to a dual-clutch automatic producing 365 hp and 310 lb-ft.

Toyota’s 2GR-FE is not as exotic as the naturally-aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six in the GT4, and it maxes out at 6,800 rpm, whereas the Cayman will scream all the way to 8,000 rpm. Still, it delivers its power linearly to its redline with plenty of low-end torque for around-town driving. Despite counting on forced induction, the Emira’s V6 responds almost instantly to throttle inputs thanks to its eagerness to rev. As it does so, it blends a throaty exhaust note with plenty of supercharger wine.

2023 Lotus Emira

This First Edition V6’s curb weight is 3,175, perfectly matched to its 400-hp output. The Emira doesn’t need more power. As it sits, its performance is fully usable on a twisty back road, and thanks to its short gear ratios, you’re constantly hitting redline, shifting, and interacting with it. Its six-speed manual is a carryover from the Evora, although its shifting feel is improved. It’s notchy but precise and a joy to use. Its clutch is still heavy, but not overly so, requiring more effort than in an equivalent Cayman.

The Emira’s steering is hydraulically assisted, heavy, and is easily one of the car’s highlights. It’s talkative, constantly transmitting feedback from the road to your fingertips. The same goes for the new aluminum chassis, which always makes you feel connected to the asphalt below. The Emira is a masterclass in how a sports car should make you feel. It exhilarates without requiring excessive speeds to do so.

2023 Lotus Emira

Turn into a corner, and you’re instantly reminded of the Emira’s curb weight. It may lack active suspension, but even my softened Touring tester remained composed through the bends. Its front end is agile and grippy, always eager to change direction. Although modern sportscars can mask their weight well, few cars feel as light on their feet as the Emira.

Although I have yet to drive the Sports model, I suspect I’ll still prefer the Touring as just a hint of body roll ads to the excitement of hustling it up a good road. Its softer springs and dampers also mean it handles road imperfections gracefully and isn’t easily thrown off balance.

Although the Touring is pitched as a potential daily driver, it’s still about as stiff as a GT4, meaning highway rides are still bumpy, and road imperfections shake the cabin. But in all fairness, these are compromises worthwhile, given how well the Emira drives.

The Emira offers three drive modes, Tour, Sport, and Track. Given its lack of active aero and suspension elements, these only alter its exhaust sound, engine responsiveness, and stability control. The Emira comes set up from the factory and isn’t adjustable on the fly. This only adds to its appeal. It has a singular focus and never tries to be something it isn’t.

2023 Lotus Emira

Inside is perhaps where the Emira sets itself apart most from the Evora that preceded. It’s a huge step up over its predecessor both in terms of design and quality. It now houses a 12.3-in digital instrument cluster and a 10.25-in central display, which houses a new infotainment system as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

My tester combined black leather and Alcantara surfaces with contrasting yellow stitching throughout, a no-cost option. Its only interior add-on is its $530 Alcantara steering wheel which feels excellent but likely won’t wear as well as the standard leather option. Sound isolation is decent, especially for a sports car, and its standard seats are supportive in all the right places and comfortable enough for long drives.

2023 Lotus Emira

Following a price increase of over $14,000 due partly to supply-chain issues, a First Edition V6 model starts at $107,600, including a $2,200 destination fee. Like its predecessors, the Emira’s options list is relatively short, only offering a $2,150 automatic transmission, a $1,400 black exterior pack, a $530 Alcantara steering wheel, and a $690 vehicle tracker. My tester featured virtually all of them, pushing its as-tested price to $110,220.

Given its price increases, the Emira First Edition V6’s base price is about the same as a Cayman GT4. However, many of its options, like paint, interior colors, and wheel finishes, are no-cost options. As such, a similarly optioned Porsche would still be more expensive.

The Emira refines Lotus’ winning formula by adding updated tech and a significantly improved interior without massive weight gains. It walks a fine line by feeling modern and comfortable enough while painting the lightweight feel of a proper sportscar. The Emira is all about how it makes you feel. From its notchy shifter to its hydraulic steering and excellent chassis, it’s constantly transmitting feedback from the road, resulting in a very immersive driving experience.

As much as I genuinely think the Emira is a fantastic product, it was in a much stronger position before recent price increases. At its original sub-six-figure base price, it represented excellent value compared to a Porsche with similar performance, but now that it costs as much as a GT4, the playing field has leveled.

The Emira isn’t for those looking for the techiest driving experience with endless modes and settings. It comes properly set up from the factory with little intrusion from driver-assist systems. It’s a sportscar distilled to its very essence. Lotus’ last hurrah is nothing short of spectacular.

New over-the-air update improves Apple CarPlay experience in Volvo cars

Our latest over-the-air update makes the infotainment system even better for Apple CarPlay users, arriving to Volvo cars globally with Google built-in.

The most notable improvement in this update is that Apple Maps and other supported navigation apps are becoming available in the driver display, just behind the steering wheel.

The driver display now also presents call information. You can answer, reject and end calls using the buttons on the steering wheel, and with the centre display you can directly hang up or mute the call. The CarPlay tile in the centre display now also features media information. The improved media interaction makes it easier for you to play, pause and skip between songs.

“When our customers get in their Volvo car, we want it to be a better experience than the day before – our over-the-air updates are a cornerstone in this ambition,” says Alwin Bakkenes, our Head of Software Engineering. “The latest update on CarPlay features is an excellent example of how we continuously improve and add features and functions together with our technology partners, making our customers’ experience richer over time.”

Since we started rolling out over-the-air updates, we’ve constantly increased the number of customer cars reached, cementing our position as one of the industry leaders when it comes to updating car software remotely. Our previous update brought the total number of delivered over-the-air updates over the one million mark, and this update alone will be sent out to a record high number of more than 650,000 Volvo cars.

This update also brings a range of changes that improve the experience for all drivers. From now on, you can switch between driver-support functions using the steering wheel buttons and choose whether the door mirrors should fold or not when locking the car. Other changes include minor engine calibration optimisations and bug fixes.

The RED and BASALT BLACK interiors also get exclusive Art Leather trim for a mesmerising look. The cabin of the new DS 9 MY23 is bathed in a hushed light thanks to the Pebble Grey Alcantara® headlining.

ESPRIT DE VOYAGE Collection: remarkable expertise

The ESPRIT DE VOYAGE Collection is now also available on DS 9 MY23 where it showcases its unique refinement, characterised by an exclusive pale leather interior.

Light and bright colours finish off the interior, with seats uholstered in Pearl Grey Nappa watchstrap leather with the centre console, dashboard and door panel trim also in Pearl Grey Nappa Leather. Pebble Grey Alcantara® features on the headlining and door armrests, as well as the braid on the front and rear carpet mats, which also showcase a special Zéphir stitching.

On the panel under the central screen the Pearl Grey Nappa leather is heat-embossed with a map of Europe from which rays stretch from the location of the DS DESIGN STUDIO PARIS, using a technique developed by the DS Automobiles craftspeople to give relief to this unique shape. This design was created for the ESPRIT DE VOYAGE Collection and is featured in multiple ways. These lines are repeated on the sills and badges for the front doors, as well as by laser engraving on the mirror housings.

The high-quality materials enhance other cockpit features including the Basalt Black grain leather steering wheel, a Basalt Black Nappa Leather dashboard top and a Black Alcantara® rear shelf.

Externally, the DS 9 ESPRIT DE VOYAGE E-TENSE 4×4 360 model retains the 20-inch MUNICH wheels, fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres.
