Volvo S60, V60, V90 Discontinued in UK Due to Declining Interest in Sedans and Wagons

Volvo has made changes to its lineup in the UK by removing the S60, V60, and V90 models. The automaker cites the decreasing demand for sedans and wagons, while noting the increasing interest in its SUVs.

According to Autocar, the absence of these models was discovered on Volvo’s online configurator. Volvo confirmed the removal and explained that customers have shown strong interest in the upcoming EX30 and EX90 models. Volvo stated in a response to Autocar that it will continue to transform its product offerings, focusing on electrification, new platforms, and the transition towards manufacturing fully electric vehicles.

Matt Prior: Morgan back in the states, and protecting working SUVs

It’s not surprising to see how great the Morgan Super 3 looks on the beautiful roads of California. What car wouldn’t look good there? But there’s something about the 3’s retro-futuristic appearance that fits the place perfectly. It seems more at home there than in a Cotswold village.

Last week, Morgan announced that its three-wheeled vehicle will be available for sale again in the US. The latest model has been updated to meet US regulations by adding reflectors and moving the headlights inboard, giving it a more spidery look.

Morgan has taken advantage of the fact that trikes are subject to different regulations than four-wheelers. It’s impressive that a small car manufacturer can navigate the complex regulations of multiple markets while staying true to its long-standing values and ethos.

This is not an easy feat for a small-volume manufacturer. Lotus, for example, has faced criticism for not staying true to its values of simplicity and lightness with their new Lotus Eletre SUV, which weighs 2500kg and doesn’t drive like a traditional Lotus.

This is a problem that particularly affects makers of lightweight cars. A Rolls-Royce can weigh 2.9 tonnes and still feel like a Rolls, but a Caterham will have to work harder to maintain its distinct character.

Does the weight of the Eletre matter? If it helps Lotus sell the 150,000 cars a year they aim for by the latter half of the decade, and if it helps fund the development of competitive Norfolk-built sports cars, then perhaps the weight is not a major concern.

Nevertheless, I have a great deal of respect for a manufacturer that can embrace the future while maintaining the qualities that made their cars unique in the first place.

Protecting the working man’s SUV

While driving along the M25 this morning, I noticed a handwritten note taped inside the rear window of an early 2010s Land Rover Defender 110. It read, “Essential Working Vehicle”.

The car had no branding and was clean, but it was an old Defender 110. This means it had its drawbacks, such as being noisy, having limited shoulder room, and taking a long time to cool down or warm up.

2024 Ford F-150 Tremor Spied In Public Fully Uncovered Ahead Of Debut

In the modern era of large grilles, the upcoming Ford F-150 appears to be going against the trend, particularly with the Tremor variant. These spy images, captured without any camouflage, provide a sneak peek at the 2024 model year. Notable changes can be seen in the truck’s front design.

The grille size has been reduced, eliminating the bottom notch and resulting in a neat rectangular shape. This new look is complemented by a Raptor-style bumper. The refreshed F-150 Raptor has already been unveiled in spy photos, featuring a bumper that is virtually identical to what we see here. Although the Tremor also showcases a robust skid plate in the front, it is not as elevated as the Raptor’s. The updated front design incorporates headlights within the grille surround, enhancing symmetry and further distinguishing the Tremor within the F-150 lineup.

The front of the Seltos has undergone changes while still retaining its recognizable design. The facelift includes a wider and larger grille with a honeycomb pattern and LED daytime running lights (DRLs) that extend to the center of the grille.

2023 Kia Seltos LED lighting

Kia has equipped the facelifted Seltos with updated LED headlights featuring “heartbeat” DRLs and dynamic turn indicators placed below the main lighting setup.

The lower section of the front now features a revised bumper with angular fog lamp housings for the GT Line and X-Line variants. The Tech Line variants have a simpler fog lamp housing. Additionally, Kia is offering a 4-piece LED fog lamp setup instead of the previous 3-part unit. The front bumper also includes a silver skid plate and an advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) radar.

Side

The side profile of the Seltos remains familiar, with the inclusion of stylish dual-tone 18-inch alloy wheels seen in the X-Line trim now available for the GT Line variants as well.

Rear

The most significant update to the rear of the SUV is the new connected LED taillight setup. The Seltos now features either the “GT” or “7DCT” badge on the bottom right side of the tailgate, which varies depending on the chosen variant.

Another notable change is the sporty dual tip exhaust setup exclusive to the GT Line and X-Line variants. It is expected to produce a distinct exhaust note.

Cabin

The facelifted Seltos now offers a black and brown interior theme, while the black and grey theme is retained for the GT Line variants. The cabin inserts and the finish for the leatherette seats vary depending on the chosen variant and include brown, black, and green shades.

The updated dashboard and console feature slimmer central air conditioning vents and a revised climate control panel to accommodate the new dual-zone AC system. It also incorporates dual 10.25-inch integrated displays, one for infotainment and the other for instrumentation.

2023 Kia Seltos front seats

Both front seats now have ventilation functionality, and the driver’s seat offers an 8-way power adjustment function.

One of the most anticipated updates is the addition of a panoramic sunroof, which enhances the overall cabin experience but may slightly affect rear headroom. The rear of the Seltos features 3-point seatbelts (recently added to the existing model a few months ago) and adjustable headrests for all passengers.

Used car buying guide: Honda Integra Type R Mk1 and Mk2

The Honda Integra Type R Mk1 and Mk2 are not only visually appealing with their clean and aggressive design, but they also offer functional features. The rear wing reduces lift and improves aerodynamics. Inside the car, you’ll find Recaro seats, a Momo leather steering wheel, and polished aluminum accents for the pedals and gearstick.

Equipped with a six-speed manual gearbox, the Type R delivers precise and satisfying shifts. Its impressive performance capabilities include a 0-60mph time of around 6.5 seconds and a top speed of 148mph, allowing it to rival most hot hatches and outperform its predecessor.

In terms of reliability, the DC5 Type R is built to handle demanding driving conditions. Honda sold a substantial number of these cars in Japan, but they are not infinitely available. Finding a well-maintained model with fewer than 100,000 miles can be a challenge, and prices are not getting any lower. If you’re considering buying one, it’s best not to delay.

What we said then

In September 2001, we said, “Not as wild as its predecessor, but still a quick and desirable option. Encourage your Honda dealer to import one.”

An expert’s view

Simon Clarke, Midland Honda Services: According to Simon Clarke from Midland Honda Services, the DC5 is an evolution of the DC2. It addresses previous shortcomings by featuring a slightly larger engine and improved suspension. The DC5 offers an exceptional driving experience and can be set up to handle like a go-kart. Its mechanical grip is excellent when properly configured. The car boasts reliable performance and is also a good investment. While finding parts for the import model can be challenging, aftermarket options are available, and some parts can cross over from the EP3 (Civic Type R).

Buyer beware

Engine: As the Integra Type R ages, engine mounts may deteriorate. Fortunately, there are various replacement options with different levels of rigidity to choose from.

How To Improve the Visual Quality of Your Nintendo Switch Games in a Few Steps

To ensure that your Nintendo Switch looks its best when docked, one important factor to consider is the resolution. The Nintendo Switch offers resolution options of 480p, 720p, and 1080p. By default, it is set to Automatic. If your TV supports 1080p, you can easily change the resolution of your Nintendo Switch with these steps:

  1. Dock your Nintendo Switch.
  2. Turn on your TV.
  3. Turn on your Nintendo Switch.
  4. Select System Settings (represented by a gear symbol below the games).
  5. Select TV Settings.
  6. Select TV Resolution.
  7. Change the TV Resolution from Automatic to 1080p.

The resolution directly impacts the visual sharpness and clarity of an image. When set to 480p, the edges in video games may appear jagged, resulting in a diminished overall look of the game. However, by setting the resolution to 1080p, your Nintendo Switch game will be displayed at its highest possible resolution, delivering a visually pleasing gaming experience. While it may not match a 4K display, it is still superior to standard definition.

Zuckerberg Appears Determined to Face Elon Musk in a Cage Match

It may seem like Zuckerberg was joking when he expressed his willingness to meet Musk in a physical fight. However, it seems that the creator of Facebook is serious about the mano-e-mano encounter. “The story speaks for itself,” a spokesperson from Meta told The Verge. This would be the first time that Zuckerberg has shown an aggressive side. In contrast, Musk has playfully teased his fellow billionaire on multiple occasions in the past. For instance, he recently tweeted that Zuckerberg’s knowledge of AI is limited.

Of course, the apparent animosity between them will truly escalate when billions of dollars are involved. Musk spent $44 billion to acquire Twitter and reportedly reduced its valuation by half in less than a year. On the other hand, Zuckerberg is focused on developing a Twitter competitor using the foundation of Instagram. This new platform will prioritize text-based communication instead of photo and video sharing. From a fighter’s perspective, things seem unclear.

Zuckerberg has considerable skills in jiu-jitsu, while there is no information about Musk’s fighting abilities. Zuckerberg is also known for his endurance challenges. However, Musk is visibly taller, standing at around 6 feet, compared to Zuckerberg’s reported height of 5 feet, 7 inches. The difference in weight and arm reach could play a significant role in the fight. But one can only speculate about the outcome if these two were to truly face each other.

See Tiny Citroen 2CV Morph Into Camper With Double Bed, Integrated Kitchen

The Citroen 2CV is often mocked because of its funny looks, rudimentary construction, and archaic on-road performance. However, it was built in more than five million units over the course of its 42-year history and helped put France’s population back on the road after World War II and put Citroen back on the map as a serious carmaker.

So, with this being said, there are also a fair few people out there who like the 2CV and do everything they can to preserve the history of the iconic French car, and maybe even use it in ways you would never think it would be possible to do.

People like Bernd, a charismatic 2CV owner from Switzerland who owns and regularly drives a camper version of the French vehicle.

As you can see for yourself in the video embedded above, the tiny, 152-inch (3.86-meter) long Citroen has just enough room in the back for a double bed, albeit with an extra section bolted on the rear of the car to improve legroom. That same metal box doubles as a camp kitchen, complete with a gas double burner cooker and basic utensils

Privacy is assured by a generous set of velcroed curtains, and the biggest storage space is found under the rear bench seat, where there’s room for about three t-shirts and a pair of socks.

There’s no mention of the engine, but the owner says at one point that it’s a 2CV Special, which was only made in the 1980s. When new, it had an air-cooler 602 cc engine under the hood that made an unremarkable 29 horsepower, sent to the front wheels via a four-speed manual transmission.

Throughout its 40-year-plus history, the Citroen 2CV was nothing more than an economy car, the French equivalent of the VW Beetle. But in recent years, prices for used cars have varied between $5,000 and over $40,000 for special models.

As always, we’d like to know what you think about the video embedded at the top of this page, so after watching it, head over to the comments section below to give us your thoughts.
