As we instructed you earlier, Royal Enfield is planning to name its scrambler “Interceptor 650 Bear”. The bikemaker had already trademarked the title in a number of international locations in mid-2023, adopted by an “INT 650 Bear” trademark within the States (‘Interceptor’ belongs to Honda, therefore INT). The newest brand trademark backs this up with an uber-cool 2D graphic that appears like a grizzly bear. A reputation trademark won’t trace at a lot–corporations do it on a regular basis–however a brand often means we’re attending to the enterprise finish of issues. So there’s a robust likelihood RE might launch the bike right here as a part of its 2025 lineup.

In addition to this, the Indian big has additionally filed a trademark for the “Classic 650 Twin” moniker. You don’t must be a genius to know what which means: there’s a 650cc model of the favored Classic 350 incoming. There’s no brand to again it up, although, so we’d want to attend a tad longer for the cruiser. Nevertheless, it’s nonetheless an unofficial affirmation of the repeatedly noticed bike. You can learn more about the cruiser in our spy shot story.

So what do we all know concerning the Bear? Plenty! Thanks to spy pictures, we all know the upcoming bike shall be closely based mostly on the..you guessed it..INT 650. So you’ll get the same 648cc, parallel-twin powerhouse right here that’s good for 47 horsepower and 38.3 pound-feet of torque. If you’ve read our review of the Continental GT 650, you’d know simply how tractable and mesmerizing this powerhouse is. It additionally explains why RE’s plonking the mill into extra bikes.

Like the mill, the double-cradle chassis may also be drawn from the Interceptor. The identical could be mentioned for the twin shock absorbers on the rear, single disc brakes, and ByBre calipers. What concerning the entrance suspension, you ask? That’ll make use of Showa USD forks rather than the INT’s easy telescopic items. It’s a transfer that makes whole sense contemplating the Bear wants additional bash-friendly credentials for its scrambler nature.

Speaking of bash-friendly bits, different notable additions embrace:

  • New, petite exhaust with reworked headers
  • Bash plate
  • Ribbed saddle
  • New fenders
  • More floor clearance than the INT

Tesla Cybertruck Towing Specs Leaked: Here’s How It Compares To Gas Pickups

The Tesla Cybertruck’s highly anticipated debut is on November 30, but a leaked poster (below) on the Cybertruck Owners Club forum, reportedly from a sign at the San Diego Tesla store, provides an early look at the pickup’s towing and payload figures. The vehicle can carry 2,500 pounds in the cargo bed and tow 11,000 pounds. Let’s compare these numbers with the traditional, combustion-powered trucks from Chevrolet, Ford, and Ram.

Before delving into the comparison, it’s worth mentioning that a VIN decoder indicates two variants of the Cybertruck are on the way, likely indicating two- and three-motor powertrains. The lighter version has a gross vehicle weight rating of 8,001 to 9,000 pounds, and the heavier one’s GVWR is 9,001 to 10,000 pounds. Unfortunately, the promotional image doesn’t specify which variant of the truck these payload and towing specs belong to.

Leaked Details Show the 2024 Subaru WRX TR with Big Wing and 19-Inch Wheels

Prior to its official debut on October 7, details about the 2024 Subaru WRX TR have leaked from Australia. The Drive obtained this information from government paperwork filed in the country.

In the Australian market, the WRX TR shares a front end with the standard model and features a tall wing attached to the trunk lid. The lower fascia has a red lamp at its center.

The WRX TR rides on 19-inch wheels with an asymmetrical spoke design and a gunmetal finish. The tires are 245/35 R19 Bridgestone Potenza S007 rubber. Red Brembo brake calipers can be seen behind the wheels, and the ventilated discs measure 13.39 inches (340 millimeters) in the front and 12.83 inches (326 mm) at the back. By comparison, the standard WRX has stoppers measuring 12.4 inches at the front and either 11.4 inches or 11.8 inches at the rear, depending on the options chosen.

According to the leaked information, there are no suspension modifications, and the WRX TR does not feature the adaptive dampers from the range-topping GT trim.

2024 Subaru WRX TR Recaro Seat Teaser

The previously teased Recaro seats are reportedly the only revision to the interior.

According to the leaked filing, the WRX TR will continue to use the existing WRX’s turbocharged 2.4-liter flat-four engine that produces 271 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. This model will only be available with a six-speed manual transmission, as the CVT is not an option for this trim.

The leaked information suggests that the WRX TR has a weight of 3,349 pounds (1,519 kilograms). In comparison, a base trim WRX with a six-speed manual in the US weighs 3,297 pounds. The Premium trim weighs 3,324 pounds, and the Limited trim weighs 3,397 pounds.

The WRX TR will make its debut at Subiefest Florida on October 7, where it will be unveiled by Travis Pastrana and Bucky Lasek. The exact release date for the model is still unknown.

Pricing for the WRX TR also remains a mystery. As a point of comparison, the WRX Limited grade with a manual gearbox starts at $38,515 after the $1,020 destination fee.

Last week’s episode of Rambling About Cars included a discussion on the initial WRX TR teaser:

New 2024 Alfa Romeo small SUV shown in leaked images

Leaked images of Alfa Romeo’s upcoming small electric SUV have surfaced, giving us a glimpse into the new entry-level model from the Italian brand. Set to be launched in early 2024, this SUV will take the place of the Mito supermini in their lineup.

Originally known as the Brennero, the small SUV will now be given a different name when it hits showrooms. It will sit below the Tonale crossover and will be built on the e-CMP platform, which is also used by the Fiat 600 and Jeep Avenger.

Alfa Romeo has not made any official comments on the leaked images, which first appeared on Instagram and are now circulating widely.

The new electric SUV is expected to measure around 4.1 meters in length and 1.8 meters in width. It will be the smallest Alfa Romeo since the Mito was discontinued in 2019. The company has suggested that it will remain as the smallest car in their lineup due to the declining demand for upmarket superminis.

According to Daniel Guzzafame, the head of products at Alfa Romeo, the new B-segment SUV will indirectly replace the Mito. He stated, “The Mito will not be replaced as it was, but it will for sure be indirectly replaced by the B-segment SUV. The premium B-segment doesn’t exist, and around the world, we need to fill it. With an infinite amount of money, resources, time? Fantastic, I’ll do everything. But without that, I need to rationalise; I need to pick the segments that are actually relevant for the base customers in the premium segments. We considered a lot. We needed to decide whether to go two doors, four doors, so we made a decision, and the Mito will not be replaced as it was. But we will see. All of the world is evolving, small cars are becoming more important again.”

Priced at around £35,000, the new small Alfa Romeo SUV will be targeted towards new customers, including families and females. The brand aims to move away from being seen as a solely “sporty brand” favored by middle-aged men.

Here’s How The Mahindra XUV e8 (XUV 700 Electric) Could Look Different From Its Concept Version

The electric version of the Mahindra XUV700 will debut by December 2024

Mahindra XUV700 EV

  • The leaked design patent of the XUV700 EV shows it would look quite similar to its concept version.

  • Will get a new nose, different lighting setup, fresh alloys, and bronze elements to differentiate from the ICE version.

  • To be offered with two battery pack options with a range of up to 450 kilometres.

  • An all-wheel drivetrain (AWD) would also be on offer.

The Mahindra XUV.e8 (electric XUV700) is all set to launch in 2025 as one of the earliest mass-market three-row electric cars in India. Ahead of its debut, a patent design image of the XUV.e8 has been leaked, giving us an idea of what the production-spec model could look like.

Minimal Design Changes

The concept version of the XUV.e8 was showcased on August 15, 2022, alongside several other Mahindra electric SUV concepts of different sizes. The design in the patent image looks nearly identical to the concept, complete with the aerodynamically optimised wheels. It essentially looks like the concept version without the black camouflage, but in white colour with bronze accents.

It carries a full length LED DRL strip along the bonnet line which extends downwards like fangs towards the bumpers. The nose looks completely different from the XUV700 (internal combustion engine SUV), sporting a closed grille with patterns. The triangular-shaped headlamp setup looks unique, especially with the ice-cubed LED elements. All the bronze accents are part of the design language for Mahindra EVs as seen on the XUV400.
