Exclusive to the Corolla Cross Hybrid and based on the SE grade, the Nightshade Edition brings a distinctive look to this feature-packed SUV. With 18-inch gloss black sport alloy wheels, black and red fabric-trimmed interior with red accent stitching, and black accented head and tail lamps, the Corolla Cross Hybrid Nightshade Edition presents a cool and unique style.
The Corolla Cross Hybrid Nightshade Edition, built on the SE grade, includes blacked-out badges, black outside door handles and mirrors, and an integrated rear lip spoiler. The model is available in three chic paint options: jet black, Barcelona red with a jet black roof, or Celestite gray with a jet black roof. It also comes with standard accessories like a roof rack for extra storage, wireless charging, frameless HomeLink Rearview Mirror, and carpet floor mats.
In addition to the Nightshade Edition, the Corolla Cross Hybrid is available in three other grades: S, SE, and XSE. Kawasaki has stood out from other manufacturers by introducing unbeatable sportbikes to the market. The Ninja ZX-25R was the first of its kind, housing a modern-day four-cylinder 250cc engine. More recently, Kawasaki launched the Ninja ZX-4R and ZX-4RR, which have finally made their way to the US market.
Similar to the smaller ZX-25R, the ZX-4R is equipped with a compact four-cylinder engine. However, this time it has a larger displacement, resulting in more power. Kawasaki recently launched this premium model in the Indian market, arousing excitement among enthusiasts in the country. Nevertheless, the ZX-4R is not a budget-friendly option, as it is more expensive than the Ninja 650. With a price tag of Rs 849,000 (about $10,200 USD), the ZX-4R is closer in price to the Z900, which retails for Rs 920,000 ($11,054 USD).
It’s worth noting that the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R is not available for sale in the US. However, its premium counterpart, the ZX-4RR, is available and comes with a lower price tag than the base model in India, at $9,699 USD. Since this bike has always occupied a unique space in the market, its higher price in India is unlikely to deter dedicated enthusiasts who are seeking a performance-oriented model.
In terms of design, the ZX-4R bears some resemblance to its Team Green siblings, especially the Ninja 400. However, it delivers impressive performance with its 399cc inline-four engine, which produces 77 horsepower at a high-revving 14,500 rpm and 28 pound-feet (39 Newton-meters) of torque at 13,000 rpm. Additionally, with the assistance of the clever RAM air intake, you can further increase the power output to 80 horsepower – nearly double that of the Ninja 400, despite having the same displacement.
When it comes to handling, the ZX-4R features a 37-millimeter Separate Function USD fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear. Two 290-millimeter discs at the front and a single 220-millimeter disc at the rear ensure reliable braking performance on twisty roads. The bike is fitted with 17-inch wheels and 120/70 front tires, along with 160/60 W-rated rear tires.
In terms of technology, the ZX-4R offers all the premium components you would expect from its larger counterparts. It boasts a sleek 4.3-inch TFT console with smartphone connectivity, adding a modern touch to the riding experience. The TFT display also offers two modes: “Normal” mode for everyday essentials and “Circuit” mode, which transforms the console into a racetrack-ready display.

The video starts with a person walking through a dimly lit garage, passing by rows of Buicks parked in the shadows. Then, the spotlight shifts to the vibrant orange Wildcat EV. Similar to the metallic gray concept car, there are subtle differences in the design, such as the wheel design and the absence of chrome around the windows. The front fascia is also slightly different, featuring a blacked-out finish instead of chrome slats. However, the most noticeable difference is at the rear. Unlike the concept car with tail lights that extend up the sides of the rear window, the orange Wildcat’s lights are integrated into the tops of the fenders, extending along the edge of the rear spoiler.
After the initial introduction, the Wildcat EV takes to the open road, gracefully maneuvering along a scenic two-lane highway with a picturesque body of water by its side. The video showcases the sleek silhouette of this low-slung coupe as it gracefully climbs hills, descends into canyons, and passes by a breathtaking waterfall. According to General Motors Design, this animation video was created as part of the pitch to GM leadership, offering a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the Wildcat project.
