Brickmania Launches Officially Licensed Blues Brothers Kit For $210

Brickmania has released a new model of the iconic Bluesmobile from the movie “Blues Brothers.” This kit is officially licensed and includes a small replica of the black-and-white 1974 Dodge Monaco along with two minifigures of Jake and Elwood Blues.

The kit, which consists of 332 Lego bricks and Brickmania elements, is now available for pre-order. While it is not a limited edition, it is uncertain when it will be restocked after the initial batch sells out. The kit retails for $210, and it comes with full-color printed instructions and custom-printed elements for the vehicle. The Dodge Monaco features functional doors and the roof-mounted loudspeaker, just like in the movie, giving it an authentic look.

 

Brickmania specializes in creating custom building kits using Lego bricks and unique elements. The company offers a wide range of products, with many of them being military-themed vehicles. Their catalog includes warships, airplanes, tanks, trucks, artillery batteries from various wars, and even replicas of the Apollo 11 Command Module, the Vostok 6 Soviet spacecraft, and a Viking raiding ship that retails for $990.

The release of the Bluesmobile kit in brick form coincides with the 40th anniversary of the “Blues Brothers” movie in 2020. The film, which was released in 1980, follows the adventures of the characters Jake and Elwood Blues portrayed by Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi, respectively. In the movie, the brothers embark on a mission to raise money for an orphanage that is facing tax issues.

During their journey, the Blues Brothers find themselves in trouble, leading to a 106-mile car chase into downtown Chicago. This epic chase scene involves over 100 police cars, tanks, and helicopters. Now, with the Bluesmobile Lego kit, fans can recreate this action-packed scene on a smaller scale at home.

For years, Lego enthusiasts have been using Lego bricks to build all kinds of vehicles. While not every vehicle make and model is available in official Lego kits, this hasn’t stopped people from creating their own designs. Kicking off in Gui’an New District in February 2022, the CATL Guizhou Power Battery Manufacturing Base project covers an area of about 95.7 hectares, with a planned annual production capacity of 60 GWh of power and energy storage battery. The project will be developed in two phases, among which Phase I, covering 59 hectares with an annual production capacity of 30 GWh power, energy storage battery production lines, and supporting facilities, is still under construction.

According to the head of the project, the manufacturing base will be equipped with CATL’s cutting-edge high-takttime and highly flexible production lines with an automation rate of as high as 95%. By taking Gui’an as a significant base, CATL Guizhou aims to create a green industrial chain system with low or zero carbon emissions from upstream phosphate mining, phosphorus, and fluorine chemicals production, to lithium-ion battery manufacturing, downstream applications, and battery recycling, thus helping Guizhou build a new energy automobile industry ecosystem with distinctive characteristics and outstanding advantages.

The manufacturing base remains one of the important projects introduced by Shanghai Zhangjiang (Gui’an) Hi-tech Park. After putting it into operation, the expected benefits of Phase I include RMB15 billion annual output value, RMB 1 billion annual tax contribution, and over 3,000 job opportunities.

The blueprinted Zhangjiang Hi-tech Park, expanding 17 square kilometers in south-central Pudong New District of Shanghai, is one of the key development zones together with Lujiazui, Jinqiao, and Waigaoqiao development zones. In early April, Gui’an New District took the initiative to co-build an industrial park with Zhangjiang Hi-tech Park. Subsequently, Gui’an Development Group and Zhangjiang Group soon reached a consensus on co-developing Zhangjiang (Gui’an) Hi-tech Park in Phase II of Guiyang big data sci-tech innovation city. Backed by Gui’an New District and Pudong New District, the Park will combine the resources and strengths of Guizhou and Shanghai to power up the high-quality development of big data, new energy, and new materials sectors.

The Guizhou-Yangtze Delta industrial match-making conference on June 1 witnessed the execution of the strategic cooperation agreement on Shanghai Zhangjiang-Gui’an Hi-tech Park. Contracts for 46 industrial investment projects were signed at the meeting, including Guizhou Tianneng Recycling Material Industrial Park and Huaxi District Specialty Beverage Production Base and covering a large scope of industries, such as new energy vehicle and battery materials, big data electronic information, aerospace and equipment, cultural tourism, Maotai-flavor baijiu, basis materials, modern chemical industry, modern energy, modern commerce, modern finance, modern logistics, and eco-food.

Lamborghini expands in Europe with its first dealership in Norway

Grand opening of Oslo showroom and local premiere of Lamborghini Revuelto

Sant’Agata Bolognese/Oslo, 16 June 2023 – Italian luxury car manufacturer, Lamborghini, is increasing its presence in Northern Europe by opening its first showroom in Norway. The grand opening in Lamborghini Oslo included the local debut of the brand’s first V12 super sports hybrid plug-in vehicle, the HPEV (High Performance Electrified Vehicle), in front of an exclusive group of guests. Stephan Winkelmann, the Chairman and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini, Federico Foschini, the Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, and Nils Tronrud, Chairman of XPND Group and Lamborghini Oslo dealership representative, attended the event.

“2023 is a very special year for Automobili Lamborghini, with the celebration of the brand’s 60th anniversary and the launch of our first V12 super sports hybrid plug-in HPEV,” said Winkelmann. “The opening of the first showroom in Norway is significant for us, as it allows our future customers in Norway to experience our brand, values, and super sports cars. The 150 guests had the opportunity to explore Lamborghini’s current lineup of super sports cars, including the recently launched Huracan Sterrato, which had its dynamic debut in Chuckwalla, USA. The 390 square meters showroom showcased a blend of Lamborghini’s past and future, with the presentation of the Lamborghini Miura, previously owned by Frank Sinatra, alongside the new Lamborghini Revuelto.[1]

The Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region is the largest of the three Lamborghini regions, which also include the Americas and Asia Pacific, in terms of sales volume. Currently, the EMEA region consists of 32 markets, including Norway, out of the total 53 worldwide. After achieving a record-breaking sales year in 2022 with over 9,200 cars delivered globally, Automobili Lamborghini aims to further expand its brand network. In the EMEA region, where sales grew by 7% in 2022 compared to 2021, Lamborghini is now represented by 78 showrooms.
