Lamborghini Confirms Electric 2+2 Grand Tourer For 2028 Debut

Lamborghini has confirmed that it will release its first-ever electric car in 2028. The electric vehicle (EV) will be a practical 2+2 grand tourer, offering a more daily usable option compared to Lamborghini’s sports cars. Although additional details are not yet available, CEO Stephan Winkelmann has hinted that the EV will have more ground clearance than Lamborghini’s sports cars, but less than the Urus SUV. The car will not be a crossover.

Although specific technical specifications for the EV have not been revealed, Winkelmann has mentioned that it will not be based on an all-Lamborghini platform. Instead, the EV will benefit from the synergies of the Volkswagen Group, similar to the relationship between the Urus and other Volkswagen Group vehicles such as the Bentley Bentayga, Porsche Cayenne, Audi Q7/Q8, and VW Touareg.

The release of the electric 2+2 grand tourer will follow the launch of the Urus S/Performante and the replacement for the Huracan, both of which will feature a plug-in hybrid powertrain in 2024. Lamborghini’s flagship model, the Reveulto, already has a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) setup with a new V12 engine. The Urus successor, set to be released in 2029, will be an EV. This plan was confirmed by Lamborghini’s CEO in an interview.

For now, order books for the Huracan and traditional internal combustion engine (ICE) Urus have been closed since all available production has been sold. The next model after the Huracan will not have an Audi counterpart, as the R8 will be discontinued without a direct replacement. Lamborghini has emphasized that it is financially capable of developing new supercars without assistance.

2024 Subaru BRZ tS Debuts: Upgraded Brakes and Suspension [UPDATE]

Update: Subaru has officially released information about the 2024 BRZ tS, confirming what we previously heard from both the automaker and attendees at Subiefest California. The new model features Hitachi dampers in a specially tuned STI suspension system, four-piston Brembo brakes at the front (with two-piston brakes at the rear), 18-inch wheels equipped with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires, and Subaru’s EyeSight driver-assist technology.

Apple has introduced a new feature in iOS 17 for the iPhone and tvOS 17 for Apple TVs that makes it easier to locate your Apple TV remote using your iPhone. Similar to the Find My feature for locating misplaced Apple devices, you can now use Siri to track down your lost remote.

Once activated on your iPhone, a radar-like visual appears on the screen, flashing and pulsing to indicate the proximity of the missing remote’s signal. As you get closer, the blue background of the radar becomes larger and brighter, eventually filling up the entire screen when you’re in close proximity to the remote. To use this feature, you’ll need an Apple TV 4K updated to tvOS 17 and an iPhone running iOS 17 that is connected to the Apple TV.

This Dodge Ram Do-Not-Drive Warning Shows The Takata Airbag Saga Isn’t Over

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), another death has been attributed to a faulty Takata airbag. This time, it involves the driver of a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck. As a result, a “Do Not Drive” order has been issued for owners of 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 vehicles that haven’t had their airbags fixed. The NHTSA states that 385,686 2003 Dodge Rams were already recalled in 2015, but as many as 84,000 have yet to be repaired.

Unfortunately, this warning for Ram trucks is just one in a long series of recalls related to Takata airbags. These recalls have affected millions of cars from various automotive brands and have been linked to 26 deaths. If your vehicle is part of the Takata recall and hasn’t been repaired, it’s crucial to get it fixed as soon as possible. The repair is free, and driving a vehicle with an unrepaired airbag could be a life-threatening risk.

How to check if your vehicle is affected

Last year, a driver of a 2006 Ford Ranger was killed when a Takata side airbag exploded. The NHTSA emphasizes that even minor accidents that wouldn’t normally trigger airbag deployment can result in a deadly malfunction, particularly in older cars. In a press release, NHTSA Acting Administrator Ann Carlson stated, “The older a defective Takata airbag inflator gets, the more dangerous it becomes. Please, get your airbag replaced now for your sake, and for the sake of those who love you.”

The Takata airbag recall has been ongoing for years, and the most recent reported death shows that it is still a concern. General Motors, one of the world’s largest truck manufacturers, had to recall over six million vehicles three years ago due to the same issue that Ram trucks are facing. Therefore, it is highly recommended to check if your vehicle is affected by the recall through the NHTSA’s website and schedule a repair at your car’s dealership.

2023 Honda GB350 And GB350 S Receive New Colors and Minor Updates in Japan

Honda will officially launch the updated 2023 GB350 and GB350 S motorcycles in Japan on Thursday, July 6, 2023. While some updates focus on performance or other noticeable features during riding, this update mainly ensures compliance with current Japanese emissions regulations. Additionally, the bikes receive new color options for the upcoming year. Let’s take a closer look.

The 2023 Honda GB350 introduces an all-new Matte Pearl Glare White color scheme alongside the existing Matte Pearl Morion Black and Matte Jeans Blue Metallic paint options from 2022. The 2023 model also sees a small aesthetic change with the rear shock’s spring now in black.

Meanwhile, the 2023 Honda GB350 S adds a third color for the new year called Puko Blue. This light blue shade has previously appeared on other Honda models available in the Japanese market, including the limited-edition Cross Cub 110 from 2021, which later became a regular color option for the 2022 Cross Cub 110. This new shade joins the existing Pearl Deep Mud Gray and Gunmetal Black Metallic colors offered in 2022 for the GB350 S.

The 2023 Honda GB350 and GB350 S are equipped with an air-cooled, four-stroke, single overhead cam, 348cc single-cylinder engine with a bore and stroke of 70mm x 90.5mm. It delivers a claimed 20 horsepower at 5,500 rpm and 21.3 pound-feet of torque at 3,000 rpm. The engine is fuel-injected and paired with a five-speed gearbox.

Suspension setup includes a non-adjustable telescopic front fork, twin rear shocks with preload adjustability only, and a conventional swingarm. Both versions of the bike feature hydraulic disc brakes on both ends and a 19-inch front wheel. One notable difference between the GB350 and GB350 S, besides aesthetics, is that the GB350 has a 130/70-18 rear wheel and tire, while the GB350 S has a slightly wider 150/70-17 rear wheel and tire combination.

Both bikes have a seat height of 800mm (31.49 inches). The 2023 GB350 weighs 179 kilograms (about 394.6 pounds) at the curb, while the 2023 GB350 S is slightly lighter at 178 kg (or 392.4 pounds) due to the use of resin in constructing certain elements, such as the front and rear fenders.

The 2023 Honda GB350 and 2023 Honda GB350 S will be available for purchase in Japan starting July 6, 2023. The suggested retail price for the 2023 GB350 is 561,000 yen, including tax, which is approximately $3,878.42 as of July 5, 2023. Opting for the 2023 GB350 S instead will cost 605,000 yen, equivalent to around $4,182.61. As of now, Honda has not announced any plans to release the GB350 or GB350 S in markets outside of Asia. Warning: Final Fantasy 16 Spoilers May Be Spreading on Social Media

Regrettably, it’s not uncommon to see major spoilers for video game storylines circulating online just before the game’s release. A similar incident occurred in late October 2022 when Sony alerted “God of War” fans about significant “Ragnarok” spoilers making their rounds online. Despite Sony’s attempts to contain the leaks, once something is released on the internet, it’s nearly impossible to retract. In that particular case, it was discovered that a retailer had started selling physical copies of the game a few weeks before its official launch date. As a result, it’s highly likely that “Final Fantasy 16” leaks may also surface before its release.

Currently, “Final Fantasy 16” can be preordered from the game’s official website, the PlayStation Store, and Amazon. Initially, the game will only be available on the PS5 as a timed exclusive, but it will eventually become available on other platforms for those who prefer to wait. According to one of the teaser trailers, the game will launch on platforms other than the PS5 on December 31, 2023.
