2024 Mazda CX-5: Pricing and Packaging

IRVINE, Calif. (August 1, 2023) – Mazda North American Operations has announced the pricing and packaging for the 2024 CX-5, which is the brand’s best-selling vehicle in the U.S. The 2024 CX-5 now offers new colors, including Platinum Quartz or Zircon Sand Metallic exterior paint when choosing the newly available Carbon Turbo package. Like all Mazda crossover SUVs, the 2024 CX-5 will come standard with i-Activ all-wheel drive in the U.S. when it arrives at dealerships nationwide this fall.

The highly praised CX-5 has received numerous awards for its industry-leading safety features, including the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) TOP SAFETY PICK in 2023. The 2024 model will retain these safety features, including Mazda Radar Cruise Control with Stop and Go, Smart Brake Support, Advanced Smart City Brake Support, Blind Spot Monitoring, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, and Lane Departure Warning with Lane Keep Assist. These features provide drivers with confidence and comfort whether driving in the city or on the highway.

CX-5 2.5 S SELECT

The CX-5 2.5 S models are equipped with Mazda’s efficient Skyactiv-G 2.5-liter, four-cylinder naturally aspirated engine. The engine delivers up to 187 horsepower and 185 lb-ft of torque and is paired with a quick-shifting six-speed automatic transmission. The CX-5 2.5 S SELECT also includes i-Stop technology, which improves the EPA estimated fuel economy to 26 mpg city, 31 mpg freeway, and 28 mpg combined.

The CX-5 2.5 S SELECT comes with a range of standard features, including Mazda Connected Services, a 10.25″ full-color center display with Mazda Connect infotainment system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, push button start, leather-wrapped shifter and steering wheel with mounted audio and cruise control buttons, and dual-zone climate control. It also features black leatherette seats with heating, automatic LED headlights, rear privacy glass, and more.

CX-5 2.5 S PREFERRED

The CX-5 2.5 S PREFERRED package adds a power moonroof and power rear liftgate. It also includes black or parchment leather seats with power adjustability for the driver and passenger, memory function for the driver’s seat, and auto-dimming rearview mirrors with HomeLink.

CX-5 2.5 S CARBON EDITION

The 2024 CX-5 2.5 S CARBON EDITION offers exclusive styling with a Polymetal Gray exterior paint color. It also features black metallic 19-inch aluminum alloy wheels, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter with red stitching, and Bose Premium Audio with 10 speakers. The Carbon Edition now includes two front USB-C inputs for enhanced connectivity.

CX-5 2.5 S PREMIUM

The CX-5 2.5 S PREMIUM package adds Mazda Intelligent Drive Select (Mi-Drive), providing drivers with the ability to select different drive modes for various conditions. Additional features include LED daytime running lights, gray metallic 19-inch aluminum alloy wheels, paddle shifters, and contrasting color interior stitching.

CX-5 2.5 S PREMIUM PLUS

The CX-5 2.5 S PREMIUM PLUS package includes features like a full-color windshield-projected Active Driving Display, ventilated front seats, heated steering wheel, heated rear seats, and automatic power-folding side mirrors. It also comes with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity and wireless phone charging.

CX-5 2.5 CARBON TURBO

The CX-5 2.5 CARBON TURBO models are designed for performance-minded customers. The Skyactiv-G 2.5 Turbo engine delivers 256 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque with premium 93 octane fuel. On regular 87 octane fuel, the engine provides 227 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. The CX-5 2.5 CARBON TURBO models feature exclusive Zircon Sand Metallic or Rhodium White exterior colors, black contrasting finishes, and unique interior upgrades.

CX-5 2.5 TURBO PREMIUM

The CX-5 2.5 TURBO PREMIUM includes gloss black accents, heated rear seats, and additional technology features such as Traffic Jam Assist.

CX-5 2.5 TURBO SIGNATURE

The top-of-the-line CX-5 2.5 TURBO SIGNATURE model features premium style and sporty performance. It comes with silver metallic finish 19-inch aluminum alloy wheels, aluminum silver-finished front and rear bumper trim and side mirrors, and a gunmetal front grille. The interior is appointed with Caturra Brown Nappa leather and genuine woodgrain, along with LED interior lighting and ambient foot illumination. It also includes the Mazda Navigation System with Off-Road Navigation functionality and advanced safety features like the 360° View Monitor.

New Ford Ranger Raptor Gets Rugged Upgrade Pack And Wild Interior By Carlex

Ford has released an all-new version of the Ranger pickup truck, and Carlex Design, an aftermarket specialist, is wasting no time in upgrading it. Carlex Design has created a new package for the Ranger that not only updates its exterior but also transforms its cabin. Interestingly, the powertrain remains the same.

Externally, the CRX T-Rex package enhances the already rugged appearance of the truck with various new parts. At the front, the truck receives a new bumper and radiator guard, both of which are finished in Line-X, a strong and durable material that is also used for elements like the mirror caps and side steps.

PLANO, Texas (June 28, 2023) – The 2024 Lexus ES, the top-selling sedan in the Lexus lineup, receives minor updates for the new model year. These updates include the addition of an available Technology Package and the inclusion of 18-inch wheels with a Vapor Chrome finish as standard on the Ultra Luxury grade. With its range of powerful engines, all-wheel drive capability, and two F SPORT models, the 2024 ES continues to cater to a diverse range of lifestyles. The new 2024 ES is expected to arrive in dealerships in summer 2023.

Choose Your Own Adventure

The Lexus ES rides on the Global Architecture-K (GA-K) platform, which is a front-wheel drive chassis made from high-strength steel. The construction method used, called Laser Screw Welding, ensures a strong and robust structure. The suspension is finely tuned to provide optimal responsiveness. The front suspension features a strut angle that improves ride quality, while the rear suspension utilizes a trailing arm and a multilink setup for enhanced responsiveness. The ES 350 is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine that delivers both performance and efficiency. The ES 250 AWD offers all-wheel drive capability, while the ES 300h features a hybrid powertrain for improved fuel efficiency.

“F” is for Fun

The F SPORT Design and F SPORT Handling grades are available on all three powertrains (ES 350, ES 250 AWD, and ES 300h). These grades add sporty exterior styling elements, such as unique front bumpers, grille surrounds, and rear spoilers. The F SPORT Handling grade further enhances the driving experience with features like Sport+ and Custom Drive modes, F SPORT-tuned Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS), a heated F SPORT steering wheel, and Hadori aluminum trim, aluminum pedals, and black headliner.

Provocative Elegance, Refined

The 2024 ES features a dynamic and sleek design, with a coupe-like silhouette inherited from the flagship LS. The front end is highlighted by the Lexus Signature Grille and striking Bi-LED headlamps. The ES offers a variety of wheel designs to choose from, ranging from 17-inch to 19-inch options. The exterior is available in 11 different colors, including exclusive colors for the F SPORT models.

Spacious and Inviting Cabin

The interior of the 2024 ES blends a driver-centric cockpit with comfortable seating for passengers. The instrument panel design integrates seamlessly with the Lexus Interface, which is displayed on an eight-inch touchscreen. The Technology Package, available on all models, includes a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen, a Head-Up Display, and a SmartAccess Card Key. The ES offers a wide range of interior color options, including different trim materials and finishes.

Lexus Interface and Connected Services

The 2024 ES is equipped with Lexus Interface, which provides enhanced connectivity features, including Over-the-Air (OTA) updates. The system can be controlled through touch and voice activation. With the active Drive Connect three-year trial, drivers and passengers have access to Intelligent Assistant, Cloud Navigation, and Destination Assist. Intelligent Assistant allows for voice-activated commands to search for directions, find Points of Interest (POI), adjust audio controls, and more. Other features of the Lexus Interface system include dual Bluetooth phone connectivity, wireless Apple CarPlay integration, Android Auto compatibility, and a Wi-Fi Connect trial.

Safety and Convenience

The 2024 ES comes standard with Lexus Safety System+ 2.5, which includes a range of active safety and convenience features. These features include Pre-Collision System (PCS) with Pedestrian Detection, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC), Lane Tracing Assist (LTA), Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist (LDA w/SA), and Road Sign Assist (RSA).

Celebrating the birthday of an icon: Volkswagen presents limited-edition Polo GTI Edition 25

  • To mark the anniversary, VW is offering a new Polo GTI with an extensive standard equipment package and some special design features

25 years of the Polo GTI! – To mark this anniversary, Volkswagen is launching the special-edition model Polo GTI Edition 25. It was in 1998 that the Polo first added those three iconic letters to its name: GTI. Now, a quarter of a century after the launch of the Polo III GTI, VW presents a limited edition of the current 152 kW (207 PS) Polo GTI. The powerful drive is impressive, but it’s not the only thing that stands out about this sporty compact car: with features including sports suspension, the electronic differential lock XDS, a comprehensive range of standard equipment and some special design highlights, the anniversary model is something special. The Polo GTI Edition 25 will be available to order in Germany from 1 June, priced at €35,205.

Just like its “older sibling” the Golf GTI, the Polo has a long history and a number of sporty predecessors: VW is now marking a quarter of a century of the Polo GTI with the special anniversary model Polo GTI Edition 25, limited to 2,500 units. “Volkswagen has a rich heritage and the Polo is one of our most iconic vehicles”, says Imelda Labbé, Member of the Volkswagen Brand Board of Management for Sales, Marketing and After Sales. “GTI fans are very important to us and our anniversary model is a way of marking this milestone together with them: celebrating 25 years of power, performance, sportiness, and fun driving in the Polo class.”

Performance and vehicle handling: The powerful two-litre TSI engine offering 152 kW (207 PS) and a torque of 320 Nm propels the front-wheel drive Polo GTI Edition 25 from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.5 seconds. In addition, the model is equipped with a specially tuned sports suspension as standard. This lowers the body by 15 millimetres and, in combination with the electronic differential lock XDS, ensures the synthesis of excellent driving dynamics, improved traction and precise handling that is typical of GTI models.

Exclusive anniversary equipment: The new special model also visually underlines its exceptional position: It has the classic GTI look, with red brake calipers and trim strips, a honeycomb design on the radiator grille and chrome-plated tailpipes. And that’s not all: the Polo GTI Edition 25 has a host of other exclusive equipment features including 18-inch Adelaide alloy wheels in Black Glossy, a black roof and black exterior mirrors, all of which help create its sporty look. The interior is equipped as standard with premium sport seats in perforated black-red leather finished off with stitched GTI logos, and glossy black decorative trim with red GTI lettering. Owners will be reminded that their vehicle is one of a limited number by the “One of 2500” logo on the sill panel trim. In addition to the GTI colours Pure White, Kings Red Metallic, Reef Blue Metallic, Smoke Grey Metallic and Deep Black Pearl Effect, the Polo GTI Edition 25 is also available in Ascot Grey.

Innovative technologies: Features that come as standard include IQ.LIGHT LED matrix headlights with Dynamic Light Assist and LED daytime running lights which ensure highly homogeneous illumination of the road. There is also the multifunction sports steering wheel in leather with paddles and the “25” logo, as well as a number of assist systems that belong to higher vehicle classes. The optional Travel Assist forms part of the IQ.DRIVE assist package and allows for partly automated driving. The Travel Assist system can take over steering, braking and acceleration of the new Polo GTI at speeds from 0 km/h up to the system’s limit of 210 km/h. To do so, Travel Assist relies on familiar systems including Adaptive Cruise Control for longitudinal guidance, and Lane Assist (fitted as standard) for lateral guidance.

The instruments and Infotainment system in the new special-edition model are arranged on one visual axis, making them easy to see and operate at all times. The Infotainment system Ready2Discover is fitted as standard and boasts a high-resolution, 20-centimetre (8-inch) display, ensuring state-of-the-art connectivity. Two other systems are also optionally available.

The first generation – Polo III GTI

A look back at 25 years of the Polo GTI: When it launched back in 1979, the GT variant of the first Polo product line caused quite a stir. But it wasn’t until 1998 and the third Polo generation that the car was allowed to bear the iconic three letters. VW limited production of the first Polo GTI to 3,000 units and announced not long afterwards that the model was sold out. The next GTI version appeared several years later in 2006. The 132 kW (180 PS) Cup Edition was a true treat for fans as it was visually based on the racing cars used in the Polo Cup.

Then there was the fifth generation from 2010: the 1.4-litre TSI engine with turbo and supercharging proved to be a hit with GTI enthusiasts, and won over new fans too. The successor in 2014 was a force to be reckoned with: the brand new TSI engine offered 141 kW (192 PS) and top speeds of 236 km/h.

The Polo continued to evolve, and the GTI tradition evolved with it: the sixth Polo generation from 2021 set new standards for compact cars. It was based on the modular transverse matrix (MQB), which stands for technological progress across all product lines as well as high body strength, exemplary low vehicle weight and excellent crash properties.

South Africa – The home of the Polo GTI: Like the majority of other Polo models, the Polo GTI Edition 25 is manufactured in Kariega (South Africa). “Our team in South Africa is really proud of this car”, says Martina Biene, Managing Director and Chairperson of Volkswagen Group South Africa (VWSA). “The Polo has a long tradition here – especially the Polo GTI.” The factory, opened in 1951, is located near Port Elizabeth and is the largest car plant on the African continent. VWSA produces the Polo Vivo, the Polo and – exclusively – the Polo GTI.
