Tata Nexon EV Facelift Creative Base Variant Detailed In 5 Images

The Tata Nexon EV facelift has been launched in India, with prices ranging from Rs 14.74 lakh to Rs 19.94 lakh (ex-showroom). It has undergone a major makeover inside and out, with a lot more features and an increased range.

The Nexon EV facelift gets 30kWh and 40.5kWh battery pack options, which claim a range of up to 325 kilometres and 465 kilometres, respectively. It is available in three broad trims – Creative, Fearless, and Empowered.

If you’re planning for the base-spec Creative variant, here’s a detailed gallery for you to explore:

The base variant of the Nexon EV facelift looks quite close to the top-end variant. It gets regular LED headlights and DRLs, while the higher variants get connected DRLs and projector LEDs. Besides, the welcome light function, front fog lamps, and charging status elements are also missing here.

The side profile remains identical to the top-end variant, even for the wheels. These are actually 16-inch steel wheels but the cover has the same design as seen on the alloys.

Save for the welcome light function, the rear profile gets no differences compared to the top-end Empowered. It gets connected LED tail lamps with the new ‘Nexon.ev’ branding on the bootlid.

You can choose between Daytona Grey, Creative Ocean, Pristine White, and Flame Red exterior colour options.

Inside the Creative+ variant, there’s a dual-tone black and white theme, but this unit in the Creative Ocean colour gets elements of a similar hue in place of the white. Tata’s new 2-spoke steering wheel with a backlit display and the illuminated Tata logo is standard. Features on board include automatic AC, height adjustable driver’s seat, push button start-stop, a 7-inch touchscreen system, and a 7-inch digitised cluster. The next-in-line variant adds the bigger 10.25-inch touchscreen system and 10.25-inch digital driver’s display.

Safety is covered by six airbags, ESP, tyre pressure monitoring, hill hold assist, and rear parking camera.

The base-spec Nexon EV Creative variant is only offered with the Medium Range (MR) powertrain featuring the 30kWh battery pack which claims up to 325 kilometres of driving range. The electric motor on offer here is rated at 129PS and 215Nm. A fast charger will take 56 minutes to juice up the Nexon EV’s mid-range variants from 10 to 100 percent, while a 7.2kW AC charger takes 4.3 hours for the same.

The Tata Nexon EV facelift has been launched in India, with prices ranging from Rs 14.74 lakh to Rs 19.94 lakh (ex-showroom). India’s best-selling EV gets its first major update after its debut in 2020. The bookings for it are already underway and its deliveries are scheduled to commence soon.

Tata is planning to introduce EV-specific dealerships from next quarter. In the first phase, five dealerships are being planned, which will increase with time.

New Styling

The facelifted Nexon adapts a more modern and trendy styling language with a sleeker grille, connected LED DRLs and tail lights, split headlamp setup, and redesigned bumpers. It also sits on new aerodynamically styled 16-inch alloy wheels. The design changes are almost in line with the Nexon, but to help it differentiate more, Tata has added some exclusive elements.

The cabin also gets a new life with a new dual-tone theme, redesigned dashboard, slimmer AC vents, and a touch-enabled AC control panel. There’s also the Tata Avinya-inspired 2-spoke steering wheel with a backlit display housing the Tata logo.

Triumph Motorcycles takes a step back from the top- and mid-range bikes to introduce its new beginner-friendly Speed 400. This bike inherits a solid pedigree and shares a visual connection with the rest of the Speed family.

The Speed 400 comes with a modest safety package, which includes electronic and mechanical safety systems. This is beneficial for newer riders and enhances its trainer-bike capabilities. It also offers various design features that reflect both old and new custom culture. Triumph also offers a range of genuine accessories to customize the bike to your liking.

The Speed family was first introduced in 1938 and was updated in 1994 with the release of the ’94 Hinkley Triumph. It has now expanded to include 1,200cc, 900cc, and 400cc powerplants to cater to a wide range of riders and skill levels.

The Speed 400 is equipped with Triumph’s new 398cc TR-series single-cylinder engine. It features a sporty chassis and is designed to be a no-nonsense motorcycle suitable for new riders. It fills the lower end of the Speed line and maintains a clear connection with the rest of the family.

2024 Triumph Speed 400 Price And Availability

The price of the Speed 400 has not been revealed yet, but it is expected to be in the range of $7,000. The bike comes in three two-tone color options: Phantom Black over Storm Grey, Caspian Blue and Storm Grey, and Carnival Red over Phantom Black. It features an analog speedometer with an integrated multi-function LCD screen. The availability of the Speed 400 is planned for fall 2023.
