The Grand Vitara has the most affordable entry-level price among its rivals, while the Taigun is the costliest.
The Elevate’s top-end manual variant is more affordable than top-spec variants of other compact SUVs by a large margin.
SUVs like the MG Astor and Kia Seltos do not offer the choice of a manual stick on their top-end turbo-petrol variants. The Seltos however gets a iMT (manual without clutch pedal) with the turbo-petrol engine, whose entry-option is priced close to the top-end Honda SUV.
The Kushaq and Taigun are the only ones in this list to get the turbo-petrol engine with a manual transmission. The entry-level 150PS option for the Kushaq is priced closest to the fully-loaded Elevate while their top-end MT variants being the costliest, going past even the Rs 18 lakh mark.

The Honda Elevate offers the most affordable automatic variant in the compact SUV space. Its top-end variant undercuts the other models by a significant margin, since it gets a single powertrain option. All the other compact SUVs get two petrol engine options.
For the choice of a performance-oriented turbo-petrol compact SUV, like the Kushaq, Taigun, or Astor, it will cost you around a lakh more over the top-spec Elevate.
The Grand Vitara and Hyryder are available with the strong-hybrid option, which claims an efficiency of up to 27.97kmpl. The latter offers the hybrid option at a more affordable entry price which is still more expensive than the fully-loaded Honda SUV.
The Seltos is the costliest option compared to the other turbo-petrol automatic compact SUVs. The top-spec Kushaq and hybrid variants of the Maruti-Toyota duo are not far behind.
It’s a good thing that the Elevate undercuts most of its rivals, but it also skips out on several premium features already offered in the segment. There’s no panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, driver seat height adjustment, six airbags as standard, and a 360-degree camera. However, it does get the ADAS safety feature, at an affordable price, which is only available with the top-end variants of the Seltos and Astor for now.
If you have an iPhone Xs, iPhone Xr, or a later model running on at least iOS 16, you can make use of a hidden feature called Live Text to perform various tasks while traveling. One of these tasks is the ability to translate foreign languages and convert foreign currencies. To use this feature, first check if Live Text is enabled on your iPhone:
Open the Settings app.
Scroll down and tap on Camera.
Make sure the toggle next to Show Detected Text is turned on.
Once Live Text is turned on, follow these steps:
Open the Camera app.
Aim the camera at the price you want to convert, such as a sign in a restaurant, a menu, or a price tag on an item you want to buy.
Zoom in and ensure that the price is within the yellow frame on the screen and appears clear and in focus.
Tap on the Live Text icon located in the bottom-right corner of the viewfinder.
Jam Kotenko/SlashGear
If done correctly, the steps above will capture the text and offer various options for using the selection, such as Copy, Select All, Look Up, or Translate. If the captured text is a foreign currency amount, you will also see an additional option for currency conversion in the lower-left corner of the camera’s viewfinder. By tapping on it, you can see the converted amount in the currency applicable to the region you selected during the initial setup of your iPhone. If Live Text captures multiple price tags, you can choose which one you want to convert by selecting “More.”

The Nissan GT-R R36 is likely to be an electric vehicle with at least 760 horsepower, showcasing Nissan’s capacity to innovate and compete with other performance cars.
The use of solid-state batteries in the R36 could revolutionize its capabilities, offering faster charging, longer range, and reduced fire risk.
The R36 could potentially be unveiled in 2027 and will likely be a four-door sports car, appealing to families and offering improved practicality.
The Nissan GT-R R35 dropped jaws when it hit the market in 2007. The Godzilla – a moniker earned by the car’s predecessor R32 when it ruled Japan’s racing circuits in the 1990s– can hit 0 to 60 MPH in under three seconds and faster to lap the legendary Nurburgring racetrack than the best Porsche around. The R35 has undergone several upgrades with its latest guise in the version of the 2024 GT-R.
The newest R35 sports an updated exterior, improved downforce, reduced drag, updated brakes, a front limited-slip differential, and a more refined interior. However, the car still relies on a 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V-6 engine that outputs 565 horsepower and 467 pound-feet of torque. The guys at Porsche can confidently smirk because the 911 Turbo and the 911 Turbo S can easily outclass the Japanese speed monster.
We gathered information from Nissan, Best Cars Web, Electrek, Car & Driver, and other reputable websites to give you a sneak peek of what the Nissan GT-R R36 could be.
10Nissan R36 GT-R Would Likely Be Electric, With At Least 760 Horsepower
While purists might frown at the idea, there is a good possibility that the Nissan GT-R R36 would be an electric vehicle. A fully electrified R36 makes sense when you look at it from all directions. Nissan has been championing the shift to electric cars with its Leaf EV. Rolling out an electric GTR-R36 will bring the brand’s capacity to innovate to the forefront and will further seal the iconic GT-R line’s status as a performance vehicle. With electric motors running the wheels, the R-36 will be quicker with access to instant torque and unimaginable speed.
The Japanese carmaker has reportedly been taking steps to electrify its fleet further. The company was rumored to have bought several Porsche Taycan Turbo S units and put them under the microscope to develop vehicles that could rival the German stallion. Nissan has also gained full ownership of the e.dams Formula E race team. With this, the car manufacturer can incorporate what it learns about electric motors and batteries in its racing program into the engineering of the new GT-R.
9Godzilla As Symbol Of Nissan’s Electric Vehicle Engineering Prowess
An electric Nissan GT-R R36 will also showcase the excellent engineering capabilities of the brand. While Godzilla has showcased Nissan’s prowess in the last decade and joined the EV contest in 2011 with the LEAF, an electric R36 puts it back in the game with technology companies such as Tesla, the top electric vehicle seller today. This will be consistent with the GT-R legacy since it launched the GT-R lineage in the 1960s in the form of the Skyline and through its evolution and current GT-R R35 form. Speaking of the Skyline, Nissan teased the public with an electric concept based on the Skyline GT-R called the GT-R R32 EV.
Getting a new Nissan GT-R R36 EV will, of course, have its pros and cons. For some, it will be a definite step forward, and for others, a lost nostalgia.
Pros
1. Environmentally friendly
2. Cheaper fuel and maintenance costs
3. Impressive performance
Cons
1. Higher initial cost
2. Too quiet
3. Totally different car culture
8The R36 Will Potentially Rely On Solid State Battery
Back in February, Nissan hosted an exhibit at its global headquarters in Tokyo titled Nissan Futures. The display put the spotlight on the concept of sustainable mobility. One of the discussions centered on the next-gen batteries that the car manufacturer plans to use in its vehicles– evolved all-solid-state battery packs. These batteries do not have any liquid electrolytes, which means faster charging, longer vehicle range, and lower fire risk. Nissan will reportedly have an operational pilot factory for these solid-state batteries come 2025 and use them in their vehicles by 2028.
Other brands, such as Toyota, Ford, and BMW, are all exerting efforts and resources to develop a reliable solid-state battery. If Nissan could perfect the technology sooner and scale its production, that would give their performance cars like the R36 the capabilities that could wow even the most loyal fans of internal combustion engines.
With all the gears moving in the production of Nissan’s solid-state batteries, its CEO Makoto Uchida is confident that the first Nissan electric vehicle with solid-state battery will roll out of their factories by 2028. The carmaker has been experimenting with its EV design and engineering with the hopes of building more affordable green vehicles. According to the Nissan chief, the company will be able to launch 27 models of electrified vehicles, 19 of which will be pure EVs, by 2030.
6Godzilla Vs. Electric Toyota GR Supra And Other EV Supercars
A tsunami of electric supercars will likely hit the auto world between the mid-2020s and 2030. While Toyota initially lobbied against EVs, it plans to increase its EV production because of their growing demand. The Japanese carmaker confirmed that Toyota’s Gazoo Racing division will produce an EV with a manual transmission. Likewise, Lexus has previewed an electrified supercar that most likely can be likened to the V-10-engined LFA. There have also been reports that Honda will bring the iconic NSX back to life as an electric vehicle.
The list of performance cars from various car manufacturers going electric can go on and on. It’s a new era. When the new Godzilla hits the drag strip for a quarter-mile race in the future, it will be a quieter race– but a lot quicker.
5The GT-R R36 Could Be A Four-Door, Four-Seater Wonder
Japanese car publication Best Car Web reports that aside from being fully electric, the next GT-R will take the form of a four-door sports car, just like Audi’s e-tron GT and the Porsche Taycan. A four-door Nissan sports car is nothing new. Remember the 1989 Altima? The same is true for the GT-R, with precedence from the likes of Skyline GT-R Autech Version 40th Anniversary that was first seen during the 1997 Tokyo Motor Show. With four doors, the R36 could be considered an electric family car.
With four doors, the R36 will be a more practical vehicle for families. Access to the rear seats will be easier. In terms of sticker price, cars with two doors command a higher sticker price because of their sporty appeal. However, a four-door configuration can improve the balance in the appearance of a vehicle.
4Big Possibility: Super EV With ICE Super Car Price Tag
The Nissan GT-R, across generations, is considered by many as a supercar bargain. For example, the 2023 Nissan GT-R entry-level Premium trim has an MSRP of $120,000, while the top-tier NISMO version is offered at $220,990. In comparison, the Porsche 911 Turbo with a few extra horses starts at $185,350.
However, we should take this with a grain of salt. Remember that solid-state batteries require more lithium than existing lithium-ion battery technologies.
3R36 Interior Will Get A Futuristic Revamp
Nissan tried to give the interior of the 2024 GT-R a dash of luxe. However, it still shows its age. It retains its analog gauges and small infotainment screen, things that somehow show its age. With the GT-R R36, fans are hoping to get a top-tier makeover. It deserves a dose of futuristic elements suited for a flagship that showcases the brand’s technological superiority. Apart from more curves, people hope to see bigger screens, more safety features, and the works. In short, features should be seen in a full-blown R36 EV.
Fifteen years translates to antiquity. Some creative juices should flow to give the R36 a proper design. A fully electric GT-R R36 could be the most powerful, the quickest, or the fastest GT-R ever made, but a bad interior is such a letdown.
2Possibility Of An SUV Trim For R36
If Nissan takes the path of a more practical R36, a four-door version is not far-fetched. A Sport SUV R36 is also not improbable. With electric motors and solid-state batteries running the show, the future R36 will not compromise its power output or range too much. It will still be a capable vehicle that could perhaps be good for towing some load. It could make people considering the Tesla Model Y, Ford Mach-E, Mercedes-Benz EQS, and other sporty rides a run for their money.
1Nissan’s Recent Business Moves Are Building Blocks For An Electric R36, Electrified Lineup
The latest EV strategy of Nissan aims for a healthy forecast of EV shares of sale by 2026. They aim to sell more EVs across major markets: Europe (98 percent), Japan (58 percent), and the United States (40 percent). The brand wants to sell a pure electric fleet in the U.S. by the 2030 fiscal year.
Aside from the abovementioned things, Nissan’s recent moves have been consistent with the aim for a more electrified fleet. It recently adopted the North American Charging Standard (NACS) connector used by Tesla at its Supercharging network in North America. This makes Nissan the first Japanese carmaker to use NACS, giving Nissan EV owners access to 12,000 charging stations owned by Tesla across the country and in Canada. In Spring 2024, an adapter to use the charging stations will be provided to consumers. And in 2025, Nissan EVs will be equipped with the said connector.
In 2023, if you’re familiar with Vespa, chances are good that you know at least a little bit of how the company started. Post-WWII, everyday Italian people needed a convenient, affordable way to get around, so Piaggio came up with one. While the company and designer Corradino D’Ascanio certainly couldn’t have known what a style icon they were creating at the time, that’s still exactly what they did.
Necessity, in this case, was the mother of invention—but just because you need function doesn’t mean that you can’t also have a form that’s extremely appealing to the eye. Over the decades, Piaggio has taken these strengths and improved various components in keeping with the times. Its devotion to style and a certain timelessness is clear, but it’s also not afraid to modernize.
Take, for example, the TFT display that’s been showing up on various Vespa models in the past few years. In Japan, the latest version of the Vespa Sprint S 150 now comes with a full-color, 4.3-inch TFT dash. You could previously get it on the Justin Bieber x Vespa Sprint collab, but now it’s also available in two stunning new matte colors for 2023—with no specific pop star allegiance necessary. It also features smartphone connectivity using the Vespa Mia app.

Engine Specifications
The Vespa Sprint S 150 with TFT is powered by an air-cooled, 155cc single-cylinder engine that makes a claimed 12.9 horsepower at 7,750 rpm, alongside 12.8 newton-meters (or 9.4 pound-feet) of torque at 6,500 rpm. It’s mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT), as are most twist-and-go scooters on the market in 2023.
Brakes and Dimensions
It features a single disc brake up front, along with a drum brake in the rear, and rolls on a pair of 12-inch alloy scooter wheels that vary in color depending on which color scoot you choose. Seat height is 790mm, or just a hair over 31 inches. Wheelbase is 1,334mm, or about 52.5 inches. Total vehicle weight is 131 kilograms, or just under 289 pounds.
Colors and Pricing
For 2023, the Vespa Sprint S 150 with TFT comes in two colorways for the Japanese market: Bronze Antico or Black Opaco. Both feature a gorgeous matte finish, and both feature contrasting details that really set off the main color nicely. The Bronze Antico scoot has black details, including black alloy wheels. Choose the matte black scoot, and you get bronze details instead—including bronze alloy wheels. Both feature a special seat with diamond-pattern stitching to take the style level up another notch.
MSRP starts at ¥ 638,000, or about $4,452, including Japan’s 10-percent consumption tax. As always, for the most up-to-date information regarding pricing and availability, your best bet is to reach out to your local authorized Vespa dealer for applicable information in your market.
The Dodge Challenger, known for its iconic status as an American muscle car, is reaching the end of its road in its current non-electrified form. However, this does not mean that the Challenger will lose its status as an American automotive icon. Even though it has never been as popular in Europe as other performance vehicles, it remains a cult classic in markets that are not directly associated with the model. In fact, someone in Bulgaria has even used the Challenger’s image as a legend to boost their business.
Displayed below is a 2012 Dodge Challenger that was recently purchased by a new owner in Bulgaria. Although it may appear to be a newer model, the front end has been replaced with a fascia from a facelifted Challenger. Interestingly, the hood comes from a Demon model, but there is no 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine underneath it. The vehicle is labeled with a blue plate on the roof, indicating that it will be used as a driving school vehicle in Sofia, the capital city of Bulgaria, which has a population of around 1.25 million people.
The Toyota 4Runner is highly regarded by the overland community, as evident from social media posts. But is it really a great vehicle? We spoke to an owner who purchased a used 4Runner five years ago and has driven over 70,000 miles since then, and they have some insights to share about this Japanese SUV.
In the attached video, YouTuber Oxfoot reveals that they have owned the vehicle since it had around 60,000 miles on the odometer. As you can see, it has undergone some modifications.
Over the years, they have added a 3-inch suspension lift, rock sliders, and 34-inch Nitto Ridge Grappler all-terrain tires. Out of all the modifications, the tires have had the biggest impact on gas mileage, reducing it to about 15-16 miles per gallon. The official EPA-rated fuel economy for the vehicle ranges from 16 to 19 miles per gallon.
Despite some factors that may give you pause, there are still reasons why buying a Nintendo Switch in 2023 could be a good choice. One of the main concerns is that the Switch has been available for some time now, and it’s possible that Nintendo has a new or updated version of the console in the works, or even a completely new generation console.
Nintendo has confirmed that they won’t release any new Switch console in this fiscal year, which means not until at least March 2024. Unless Nintendo surprises us with a sudden release, we shouldn’t expect a new console anytime soon. Therefore, it is still safe to buy a Switch this year.
However, there’s another reason to think twice about buying a new Switch, even after a new Nintendo Switch 2 is announced. When the Switch was released in 2017, its portability and handheld mode were revolutionary. But in 2023, we have alternatives like the Steam Deck, other portable PC competitors, and even PlayStation is entering the handheld console market. These options offer portable access to the latest AAA games and, in the case of the Steam Deck, access to a wide range of emulators to play classic games.
Ultimately, the decision to buy a Nintendo Switch in 2023 depends on whether you are primarily interested in playing Nintendo games. If titles like “Zelda” and “Elephant Mario” are high on your priority list, then the Switch is undoubtedly a console worth considering.
Audi has announced plans to exclusively produce electric vehicles starting from 2026. However, there is still time for one more high-performance internal combustion engine (ICE) model. The RS6, which has already received the Performance treatment, is now being tested at the Nürburgring with an even more powerful variant. According to various reports, this meaner version might be called the “GT” and could be introduced alongside a facelift for the standard RS6.
Although it may appear to be more of the same, there are some noticeable changes upon closer inspection. The front bumper has been redesigned with reshaped air intakes, and the bulging fenders now feature a vertical vent. At the rear, there is a new beefy spoiler inspired by the aggressive 2020 RS6 GTO concept. Audi has also made modifications to the bumper, which now includes horizontal reflectors to create the illusion of a wider car.
When it first came out, the Porsche 944 was positioned as an entry-level option and the most affordable way to join the Porsche brand. Now, 40 years later, the same idea still holds true in the secondary market. However, it’s worth noting that collectors have discovered the 944 over time, so it’s no longer the amazing deal it used to be. According to classic.com, a valuation site, the average selling price for a base model 944 in the past year is $13,310. However, if you search carefully, you can still find rougher examples in the $5,000 range.
The 944 has always been commended for its balanced handling and weight distribution. It features a rear-mounted transaxle connected to the engine via a “torque tube,” which is basically a solid and vibration-free driveshaft licensed from Mitsubishi, of all places.
From the factory, the 944 came with a compact inline four-cylinder engine that took it from 0-60 MPH in a leisurely 8.5 seconds. While some later models offered turbocharging and four valves per cylinder (16V), even those improvements couldn’t compare to a modern LS engine, especially one that has been customized.
If you needed another reason to replace the original Porsche engine, it’s worth mentioning that it had a rubber timing belt that, if it failed, could potentially ruin the entire engine. Some may argue that installing a V8 engine will affect the perfect weight distribution, but if you opt for an aluminum LS engine instead of an iron block, the weight gain over the Porsche four-cylinder is only around 25-30 pounds.
