LEXUS ARRIVES TO MONTEREY CAR WEEK 2023 WITH ITS LATEST IN BOLD DESIGNS AND PERFORMANCE

PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. (August 10, 2023) – Lexus will showcase its latest vehicle lineup at Monterey Car Week 2023, featuring bold designs, electrification, intuitive technology, and the signature Lexus Driving Experience.

At The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, Lexus will highlight the Lexus RZ Sport Concept and the 2024 Lexus LC 500 Inspiration Series. The Lexus RZ Sport Concept, based on the recently launched 2023 Lexus RZ 450e battery electric vehicle, features high-output motors, lower suspension, custom aero parts, and bucket seats. The concept was most recently seen at the Tokyo Auto Salon. The 2024 Lexus LC 500 Inspiration Series will also be showcased.

Lexus Culinary Master and Master Sommelier Carlton McCoy will be at the Lexus display at The Quail to conduct special wine tastings with the public on Friday, August 18.

As a sponsor of the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance for 25 years, Lexus will have the all-new 2024 Lexus GX and the first-ever 2024 Lexus TX on display at the Pebble Beach Golf Links. These vehicles bring a new era of available third-row SUVs to Lexus.

The Lexus Drive Experience, located adjacent to the Lexus display at Pebble Beach, will be open from Thursday, August 17 through Saturday, August 19. Guests will have the opportunity to participate in immersive 20-minute drives with vehicles such as the LC 500 Convertible, IS 500, RZ 450e, NX 350h, LX 600, and LS 500h.

Finally, Lexus will support the annual Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance Charity through a drawing to benefit the Boys and Girls Clubs of Monterey County. The drawing will take place on Sunday, August 20.

Mazda Reports July Sales Results

June Marks the 10th Straight Month of Year-Over-Year Gains

IRVINE, Calif., Aug. 1, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) today reported total July sales of 30,629 vehicles, an increase of 30.9 percent compared to July 2022. Year-to-date sales totaled 214,412 vehicles; an increase of 29 percent compared to the same time last year. With 25 selling days in July, compared to 26 the year prior, the company posted an increase of 36.2 percent on a Daily Selling Rate (DSR) basis.

CPO sales totaled 5,563 vehicles in July, an increase of 48 percent compared to July 2022.

Sales Highlights

Mazda Canada, Inc., (MCI) reported July sales of 4,598 vehicles, an increase of 13.5 percent compared to July last year. Year-to-date sales totaled 32,863 vehicles; an increase of 8.2 percent compared to the same time last year.

Mazda Motor de Mexico (MMdM) reported July sales of 6,286 vehicles, an increase of 47 percent compared to last year. Year-to-date sales totaled 40,811 vehicles; an increase of 96 percent compared to the same time last year.

Mazda MX-30 Discontinuation

IRVINE, Calif. (July 28, 2023) – Mazda has announced that it will no longer offer the MX-30 electric vehicle (EV) in the U.S. market after the 2023 model year. The company is shifting its focus on larger platform plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) for the U.S. market, including the upcoming 2024 CX-90 PHEV and CX-70 PHEV, as well as introducing the CX-50 Hybrid to cater to the specific needs of American consumers.

LEXUS SIGNS GOLF SENSATIONS HINAKO SHIBUNO AND AMARI AVERY AHEAD OF U.S. WOMEN’S OPEN

Lexus is excited to announce that it has added Hinako Shibuno and Amari Avery to its roster of sponsored golf champions. Shibuno is a 24-year-old Japanese golfer, while Avery is a 19-year-old rising star in women’s golf. Their sponsorship will begin at the 2023 U.S. Women’s Open Championship, which will be held at Pebble Beach Golf Links.

Nicole Peterson, from Lexus Partnerships, expressed her enthusiasm for the partnership, stating that both Shibuno and Avery are talented players who will help introduce the Lexus brand to new audiences and young people worldwide.

Shibuno, who has always dreamed of working with Lexus, shared her excitement for representing a luxury brand that she admires. She even purchased a Lexus NX with her professional earnings. Avery, on the other hand, is thrilled to be partnering with Lexus and sees the brand’s commitment to performance as inspiring for her amateur and future professional golf career.

Hinako Shibuno

Hinako Shibuno began playing golf in Okayama, Japan, at the age of 8. She turned professional in 2018 and quickly made a name for herself. In 2019, she became the youngest tournament champion at The World Ladies Salonpas Cup and won her second title at the Shiseido Anessa Ladies in her first-ever playoff.

In the same year, Shibuno made her debut at the AIG Women’s British Open and won her first major, becoming the second Japanese woman to achieve this feat since 1977. Her captivating smile earned her the nickname “Smiling Cinderella.” In 2020, she finished fourth at the U.S. Women’s Open and continued to excel in major tournaments.

Shibuno also runs her own YouTube channel, where she shares behind-the-scenes stories of her life on the US tour. She is also involved in organizing the “Hinako Shibuno Cup Okayama Softball Tournament” and giving back to her hometown of Okayama.

Shibuno is currently ranked 54th in the Rolex World Rankings.

Amari Avery

Amari Avery, at only 19 years old, has already made a name for herself in the world of golf. She has had success in her junior, amateur, and collegiate career, reaching as high as #5 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings. She has participated in prestigious tournaments such as the Augusta National Women’s Amateur and the U.S. Women’s Open, showcasing her talent.

During her time at the University of Southern California, Avery has achieved four individual victories and shattered records in USC women’s golf history. She has received multiple honors and continues to impress with her dedication and skills on the course.

Avery’s diverse racial and ethnic background, with an African American father and Filipino mother, is an important aspect of her identity that she proudly represents. She gained early exposure through the 2013 Netflix documentary “The Short Game,” which featured her journey to the U.S. Kids Golf World Championship.

Year-to-date sales totaled 183,783 vehicles; an increase of 28.7 percent compared to the same time last year. With 26 selling days in June, compared to the same the year prior, the company posted an increase of 96.9 percent on a Daily Selling Rate (DSR) basis.

CPO sales totaled 5,219 vehicles in June, an increase of 27 percent compared to June 2022.

(June 6, 2023) – Mazda continues to enhance its lineup with powerful engines, agile handling, and customized designs that cater to the preferences of its drivers, offering them memorable experiences. The upcoming 2024 Mazda3, CX-30, and CX-5 models will feature the new Carbon Turbo package, which combines Mazda’s engaging performance with a distinctive aesthetic. Mazda North American Operations today reveals the introduction of Carbon Turbo for these select Mazda vehicles.

The Carbon Turbo package is a complement to the existing Carbon Edition lineup, both of which offer a blend of sportiness and sophisticated design. Both editions feature gloss black exterior elements, such as black metallic aluminum alloy wheels, side mirrors, and front grille. However, Carbon Turbo sets itself apart with its unique color scheme. These special edition models exclusively feature Zircon Sand Metallic exterior paint and an interior that combines materials like terracotta, black suede, and gunmetal accents, giving them a timeless appeal that resonates with the modern world.

The design and performance of Carbon Turbo models go hand in hand. They are equipped with Mazda’s Skyactiv-G 2.5 Turbo engine, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and standard i-Activ all-wheel drive. This powerful engine delivers 250 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque with premium 93 octane fuel, or 227 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque with regular 87 octane fuel.

Pricing and detailed features for the new Carbon Turbo models will be announced along with the official unveiling of the 2024 Mazda vehicles.

Year-to-date sales totaled 153,997 vehicles; an increase of 20.6 percent compared to the same time last year. With 25 selling days in May, compared to 24 the year prior, the company posted an increase of 108.5 percent on a Daily Selling Rate (DSR) basis.

CPO sales totaled 5,262 vehicles in May, an increase of 4 percent compared to May 2022.

Sales Highlights

Mazda Motor de Mexico (MMdM) reported May sales of 5,945 vehicles, an increase of 178 percent compared to last year. Year-to-date sales totaled 28,986 vehicles; an increase of 107 percent compared to the same time last year.

Mazda Motor de Colombia (MCOL) reported May sales of 1,716 vehicles, an increase of 33.1 percent compared to last year. Year-to-date sales totaled 6,819 vehicles; an increase of 4.4 percent compared to the same time last year.

IRVINE, Calif. (May 2, 2023) – Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) today reported total April sales of 32,351 vehicles, an increase of 7.5 percent compared to April 2022. Year-to-date sales totaled 120,735 vehicles; an increase of 7.5 percent compared to the same time last year. With 26 selling days in April, compared to 27 the year prior, the company posted an increase of 11.6 percent on a Daily Selling Rate (DSR) basis.

CPO sales totaled 4,765 vehicles in April, a decrease of 10 percent compared to April 2022.

Mazda Motor de Mexico (MMdM) reported April sales of 3,777 vehicles, an increase of 609 percent compared to last year. Year-to-date sales totaled 23,040 vehicles; an increase of 94 percent compared to the same time last year.

Mazda Motor de Colombia (MCOL) reported April sales of 1,216 vehicles, a decrease of 34.6 percent compared to last year. Year-to-date sales totaled 5,103 vehicles; a decrease of 2.6 percent compared to the same time last year.
