IRVINE, Calif., Dec. 1, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) today reported total November sales of 27,715 vehicles, an increase of 3 percent compared to November 2022. Year-to-date sales totaled 323,836 vehicles; an increase of 21 percent compared to the same time last year. With 25 selling days in November, compared to the same the year prior, the company posted an increase of 3 percent on a Daily Selling Rate (DSR) basis.

CPO sales totaled 4,677 vehicles in November, an increase of 8 percent compared to November 2022.

Toyota Prius Receives Top Honors as the 2024 MotorTrend Car of the Year

LOS ANGELES, Calif (Nov. 16, 2023) – Toyota’s 2024 Prius won the 2024 Car of the Year title at the Los Angeles International Auto Show, marking the second time the Prius has received this honor, the first being in 2004. The Toyota Camry also won in 2007.

Mazda Reports October Sales Results

IRVINE, Calif., Nov. 1, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) today reported that their total sales for October were 23,504 vehicles. This is a 7.2 percent decrease compared to October 2022. However, their year-to-date sales have increased by 23 percent compared to the same time last year, totaling 296,121 vehicles. It is important to note that although the number of selling days in October was one less compared to the previous year, the company posted only a 3.5 percent decrease on a Daily Selling Rate (DSR) basis.

Mazda also reported an increase in their Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) sales, with a total of 4,836 vehicles sold in October. This is a 9 percent increase compared to October 2022.

Sales Highlights:

  • They achieved their best-ever October sales of the CX-50 model, with 3,168 vehicles sold.
  • They also had the second-best October sales of the CX-30 model, with 5,908 vehicles sold.

Mazda Canada Inc. (MCI) reported October sales of 5,450 vehicles, which is a 34.3 percent increase compared to October last year. Their year-to-date sales totaled 49,233 vehicles, an increase of 11.7 percent compared to the same time last year. Mazda Motor de Mexico (MMdM) reported October sales of 6,969 vehicles, a 24 percent increase compared to last year. Their year-to-date sales totaled 60,107 vehicles, a 63 percent increase compared to the same time last year.

Longo Toyota Auctions 2023 GR Corolla MORIZO Edition Donating $150,000 to El Monte Schools and Vision to Learn

EL MONTE, Calif. (Oct. 30, 2023) – Longo Toyota in El Monte, the world’s largest Toyota dealership, sold a limited edition 2023 Toyota GR Corolla MORIZO through an auction to raise funds for charity. This particular vehicle holds the special distinction of badge no. 001 of 200, as designated by Toyota. The online auction took place for a week, starting on Oct. 18 and concluding on Oct. 25. The winning bid was $98,500. Longo Toyota and Toyota made additional contributions, bringing the total charitable donation to $150,000. The donation will benefit El Monte City School District, El Monte Union High School District, and Vision To Learn. Vision To Learn is a nonprofit organization that provides vision screenings, eye exams, and glasses free of charge to students from low-income communities across the U.S.

In a special meet and greet event on Oct. 28, Longo Toyota presented the vehicle to the winning bidder, a local resident named Edison Wang. Attendees at the event included special guests from Toyota’s GAZOO Racing Engineering Division in Japan, the team that helped develop the GR Corolla. Naoyuki Sakomoto, the GR Corolla Chief Engineer, was among those who personally congratulated the lucky winner. Representatives from the El Monte Schools and Vision To Learn were also present to graciously accept the charitable donation.
