The dimensions of both the Suburban and the Tahoe remain quite large, as expected. The main exterior change is in the front end, especially the lighting. The daytime running lights have been expanded, featuring a more distinctive “dual C” design, with the main headlamps shifted slightly downwards.
At the back, the taillamp clusters are more striking and cohesive. The Premier and High Country trims feature welcome and walk-away lighting animations, as well as animated swipe patterns for the turn signals.

There will be six trims in total — LS, LT, RST, Z71, Premier, and High Country — with Chevy adding some unique details based on the trim. For example, the Z71 will have bright red (and functional) tow hooks in the lower fascia. For the first time, there will be a factory option for massive 24-inch wheels, while an AutoSense Power Liftgate will automatically open the trunk when the key fob is sensed behind the SUV.
The Chevrolet Suburban and its slightly smaller Tahoe sibling are the top choice for families, work crews, and shuttle agencies. Despite strong competition, Chevy is updating the 2025 Suburban and Tahoe to maintain their status.
The most notable changes are seen at the front, with a new, Silverado EV–inspired front fascia. Larger daytime running lights and bigger headlights are also featured. Standard on all models is a gloss black grille bar, with unique textures for specific trims.
The side profile remains mostly unchanged, but the RST and High Country models now offer 24-inch wheels as an option. The rear design has also been updated with wider taillamps and sporty quad tailpipes.
Tahoe And Suburban Tech
Both models now feature a new, 17.7-inch touchscreen and 11.0-inch digital instrument cluster as standard. The redesigned dashboard improves sightlines and reduces claustrophobia. The shift selector is back on the steering column, and the center console has been tweaked. The new tech features also include towing assistance, cloud-connected camera system, and wireless smartphone integration.
Standard safety features include automatic emergency braking, lane centering technology, blind spot monitoring, and adaptive cruise control. Advanced driver-assist features like Super Cruise will be available on lower trims as well.
Hauling The Mail
The 2025 Tahoe and Suburban will offer the Duramax 3.0-liter turbodiesel on the Z71 trim level, featuring a high-output version with increased horsepower and torque. The gasoline V8 engines remain unchanged. The steering system and rear suspension have been updated for a more responsive driving experience.
Despite the upgrades, the towing capacity for the Suburban has decreased, while the Tahoe remains the same. The new diesel boosts efficiency and power, but it still falls short compared to some competitors.
Production Plans
The 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban will enter production late next year at GM’s Arlington factory. Pricing details are yet to be revealed, but a slight increase from the current models is expected. We’ll have more information as the production date approaches.
LAKE TAHOE, Calif. (Oct. 13, 2023) – The Lexus LX, a luxury SUV icon since its launch in 1995, is known for its comfortable ride quality and long list of amenities. While it has been recognized as a luxurious long-range cruiser, the LX has also proven its off-road capabilities in over 50 countries and regions worldwide.
This year, the LX 600 will showcase its true off-road prowess in the Rebelle Rally, an exciting women’s only off-road navigational competition. This eight-day event spans over 1,400 desert miles through California and Nevada. Experienced automotive journalist Mara Balagtas McIlwrath will be driving the LX, with her partner Mia Lardiere tasked with navigating them through this mentally and physically demanding competition.
The rally, which takes place from October 12-21, is not a speed race. Instead, it challenges competitors to navigate using only a map and compass, without the assistance of GPS or electronic devices.
Mara and Mia will document their experience in the Rebelle Rally on social media and provide additional editorial content in Cosmopolitan and Car & Driver.
