Munich. BMW M Motorsport has added a top-tier driver to its roster in preparation for the upcoming racing programme. Raffaele Marciello (SUI) will join as a BMW M works driver from the 2024 season onward. The 28-year-old, known for his impressive track record, is making the move to BMW M Motorsport to advance his career. Specific details about his racing schedule will be announced at a later date.

 

In recent years, Raffaele Marciello has been a standout GT driver under the Mercedes-AMG brand, achieving remarkable success on a global scale. His accolades include winning the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe in 2023 and 2022, securing victory in the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps (BEL), and claiming the driver’s title in the ADAC GT Masters in 2022. Additionally, he triumphed at the FIA GT World Cup in Macau (CHN) in both 2023 and 2019, and became the champion in the Blancpain GT Series in 2018. Prior to his GT racing career, Marciello achieved success in open-wheel racing, winning the FIA European Formula 3 Championship in 2013, achieving victories and podium finishes in the GP2 Series, and conducting Formula 1 tests for Ferrari and Sauber.
