Here are all the differences between the old and new Tata Nexon in 16 images

Tata Nexon 2023

The Tata Nexon facelift has been revealed ahead of its launch this festive season. The subcompact SUV is frequently updated with new features and variants, but this is its most significant update since launch. The changes are significant over the older Nexon, which are detailed in this comparison:

FRONT

The front profile of the new Tata Nexon facelift has been inspired by the Tata Curvv and looks much more modern compared to the older version. It now features a sleeker and sharper grille with a fresh set of LED DRLs. The new split headlamp and bumper designs complete the SUV’s new front profile.

SIDE

The Nexon facelift comes with freshly designed alloy wheels, which are still 16 inches. The original silhouette and sloping roofline of the Nexon have been retained in the new version.

REAR

The Nexon facelift now has connected LED tail lights, keeping up with the latest trend. The boot lid looks more prominent and the rear bumper gives it a slightly sportier look.

INTERIOR

The interior of the new Nexon facelift has been completely revamped to give it a more premium and modern touch. The cabin now offers more color options, depending on the variant and exterior shade. The new Nexon is launched in a new “Fearless Purple” shade, which reflects on the black and purple interior. The 2-spoke steering wheel is inspired by the Avinya EV and features an illuminated Tata logo in between. The gear lever is also new and designed to be palm-friendly, similar to luxury cars.

NEW TOUCHSCREEN SYSTEM

The smaller 7-inch touchscreen unit of the old Nexon has been replaced with a larger 10.25-inch floating screen in the facelift version. The new touchscreen comes with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, as well as the latest version of Tata’s iRA connected car technology. The bezels around the screen are also thinner, giving it a sharper look.

NEW DIGITAL DRIVER’S DISPLAY

The Nexon facelift features a new 10.25-inch fully digital driver’s display, which offers a crisper display compared to the older version’s digitized cluster. The new driver’s display also allows you to show navigation information.

NEW FEATURES

In addition to the larger displays, the new Tata Nexon comes with several new features. These include a touch-enabled climate control panel, height-adjustable co-driver’s seat, and a 9-speaker JBL sound system. The existing set of features, including an electric sunroof, wireless charger, ventilated front seats, automatic headlamps and wipers, and automatic AC, are also available.

SAFETY FEATURES

The facelifted Nexon adds several safety features as standard, including six airbags, a 360-degree camera, front parking sensors, and a blind-view monitor.

POWERTRAINS

The Nexon facelift retains the same powertrain options as the old version. It is available with a 120PS 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 115PS 1.5-litre diesel engine. The diesel engine offers both a 6-speed manual and AMT transmission, while the turbo-petrol engine now comes with a 7-speed dual clutch automatic transmission in addition to the 6-speed manual. Both automatic versions also have paddle shifters, a segment-first feature. The base-spec petrol variants of the Nexon facelift will be equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission, similar to the Altroz hatchback.

The Tata Nexon facelift will be priced higher than the current model, starting from Rs 7.46 lakh to Rs 13.68 lakh (ex-showroom). It is scheduled to launch on September 14 with deliveries expected to begin soon after.
