Mini Introducing Hybrid Sales Model in Europe Next Year

In 2024, BMW Group will embark on a new sales strategy, starting with their Mini brand. Mini will be the first brand within the conglomerate to adopt a hybrid sales model, beginning in Italy, Poland, and Sweden on January 1, 2024. This shift in strategy aims to provide a closer look at what this new sales model entails and how it compares to Tesla’s existing direct sales model.

BMW Group intends to transition to direct sales through retail partners, which will result in standardized pricing nationwide and a more direct interaction with customers. As the transition progresses, the company will focus on digitalizing the entire purchasing process. This will enable customers to seamlessly switch between online and physical buying experiences based on their preferences.

McLaren Boss Foresees Electric SuperCars by 2030

According to McLaren’s CEO, Michael Leiters, the arrival of full-electric supercars is still a few years away. He explained that the main challenge lies in developing lighter batteries with sufficient range. Leiters recently discussed the automaker’s electrification strategy and reiterated the importance of weight in McLaren’s design principles. Heavy cars compromise nimbleness and create a disconnect for drivers, which goes against the essence of the McLaren brand. Leiters doesn’t anticipate this technology being ready for real supercars until the end of the decade.

Bentley Bentayga Art Car Showcases Hand-Painted Mural of 29 Famous Landmarks

Bentley is embracing diversity and inclusion through its newest art car. As part of their Beyond100 strategy to become the most diverse luxury automaker, Bentley has unveiled the “Belonging” Bentayga, a stunning creation that promotes these values.

To bring the “Belonging” Bentayga to life, Bentley enlisted the help of British architectural artist Stephen Wiltshire. Wiltshire meticulously hand-painted the Alpine Green Bentayga, adorning it with 29 renowned landmarks and skylines from around the world. The masterpiece includes iconic destinations such as New York, London, Paris, Rome, Milan, Venice, Tokyo, and Hong Kong, and also features individuals representing different cultures and nationalities. Each side of the SUV displays landmarks from a distinct continent.
