McLaren Opens Its Largest Standalone Showroom Ever In Dubai

McLaren has recently inaugurated its biggest standalone showroom in Dubai, setting a strong presence in the brand’s largest market in the region. The impressive facility, spanning 10,225 square feet (950 square meters), is situated alongside McLaren’s largest service center.

With over 100 locations in more than 40 markets worldwide, this new showroom showcases a vast display gallery and houses the McLaren Special Operations (MSO) studio, enabling customers to create custom-made designs and personalized commissions.

Alpine Running At Full Production Capacity To Meet Record Sales

Renault’s performance brand, Alpine, is experiencing a highly successful year in terms of sales. With strong demand, the company is currently operating at full capacity to meet the overwhelming customer requests. This is certainly a positive challenge to have, especially in anticipation of Alpine’s ambitious expansion plans by the end of the decade.

In June alone, Alpine received 593 registrations. Although this number may not seem significant, it is important to acknowledge that Alpine is not a mainstream brand and currently offers a limited range of products. Additionally, this figure represents a remarkable 71% increase compared to June of the previous year. Moreover, it surpasses Alpine’s previous record of 536 cars sold in March 2019, making it the most successful month in the brand’s history.

City Document Reveals E3 2024 And 2025 Have Already Been Canceled

In recent years, independent showcases by platform leaders and standalone events from big-name studios have overshadowed E3, stealing its thunder. Furthermore, Geoff Keighley’s Summer Games Fest show now dominates the June slot that was once reserved for E3 announcements.

Opinions on E3 differ. In a podcast interview with VGC earlier this month, Keighley said, “I think E3 sort of killed itself in a way.” The absence of Microsoft and Sony, the platform overlords, from E3 has reduced the incentive for the event. Additionally, the recent rivalries and conflicts over multi-billion acquisitions have driven the competitors further apart.

It is possible that Xbox and PlayStation may never share the E3 stage again, especially given the tension between Microsoft and Sony over the Activision Blizzard fiasco. In June, Microsoft hosted its Xbox Games showcase event, followed by a dedicated show for a Starfield deep-dive. On July 11, the company will host the next ID@Xbox Showcase to reveal trailers and gameplay details of new titles. Sony and Nintendo also held their own events in June, and Keighley had his own gaming event during the same window. This does not mean that E3 is doomed, but the opportunity for E3 to regain its former glory is diminishing.
