Arai Announces A Limited Isle Of Man TT RX-7V EVO For 2024

The Isle of Man Tourist Trophy is a highly challenging motorcycle race event that takes place on public roads. Arai, the renowned helmet manufacturer, has revealed that it will be introducing a special edition helmet graphic for the 2024 Isle of Man TT. This limited edition graphic will only be available for a short period of time.

The RX-7V EVO is one of Arai’s top-of-the-line helmets and has remained a key component of the company’s product lineup. Arai has a history of creating Isle of Man TT graphics for the RX-7V EVO, and the tradition will continue in 2024, featuring a predominantly blue livery with red, orange, white, and navy accents, all inspired by the colors of the Tourist Trophy. The helmet will showcase iconic symbols and emblems from the TT races, adding to its unique design.

The 2024 Isle of Man TT RX-7V EVO will be meticulously crafted with Arai’s “Priority for Protection” philosophy, maintaining the brand’s commitment to safety. The helmet will also meet the latest ECE 22.06 homologation standards.

The managing director of Arai Helmet (Europe) B.V., Akihito Arai, expressed excitement about the upcoming release, stating, “This is always a special moment for all of us at Arai Helmet and the 2024 RX-7V Limited Edition EVO IoM TT is absolutely amazing. Drudi Performance has excelled and created something so fresh, yet with all the elements of the design that fans and collectors expect. We had no idea when we started 15 years ago how important every year’s special TT helmet would become to so many people. All I can say now is – roll on next year’s TT!”

The 2024 Isle of Man TT will commence from May 27 to June 8, 2024, with racing taking place from Monday to Saturday.

2024 Isle of Man TT Dates Officially Announced, Ready For Your Calendar

If you felt sad after the 2023 Isle of Man TT races ended and have been waiting to find out when the 2024 races would take place, wonder no more. The dates for the 2024 Isle of Man TT have now been officially announced. The organizers have also made an important improvement to make it easier for fans to travel to the event.

The two weeks of the 2024 Isle of Man TT will begin on Monday, May 27, 2024, which is a bank holiday. The first week will include free practice and qualifying sessions for all classes on the 37.73-mile mountain course.

The 2024 Senior TT race is currently scheduled for Saturday, June 8, 2024. The rest of the practice, qualifying, and racing schedule will be similar to the changes made in 2023. Both the Superstock and Supertwin classes will have two races throughout the event, just like in 2023. The entire race program will span 10 days, with two rest days for the racers to recover.

For those planning to attend the 2024 Isle of Man TT in person, organizers have also announced that the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company has built a brand new vessel called the Manxman in 2023. This is the first new vessel commissioned by the company since 1998. The Manxman can accommodate 948 passengers, which is over 300 more than the previous largest ferry in the fleet, the Ben-my-Chree. It also offers 10 percent more lane space for vehicles, which is significant for both cars and bikes.

The Manxman ferry’s Heysham crossing time is the same as the Ben-my-Chree at three hours and 45 minutes. For a quicker option, the Manannan catamaran can cross from Liverpool in just two hours and 45 minutes and underwent a major refit in 2009.

Watch: Fastest Lap On The 2023 Isle Of Man TT with Peter Hickman

This year’s Isle of Man TT witnessed incredible speed, with riders like Peter Hickman striving to achieve the fastest laps. Riding his BMW M 1000 RR for Monster Energy by FHW Racing, Hickman broke the lap record by completing the 37.73-mile TT Mountain Course in an astounding 16 minutes and 36.115 seconds. Additionally, he achieved the highest average speed for the course, clocking in at 136.358 miles per hour.

Hickman accomplished this feat during the second race of the RL360 Superstock class at the 2023 Isle of Man TT Races. Competing against veteran riders such as Michael Dunlop for MD Racing and Dean Harrison for DAO Racing Kawasaki, Hickman faced stiff competition. The starting line featured a variety of bikes, including Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblades, Kawasaki ZX-10RRs, Yamaha YZF-R1s, and even Suzuki GSX-R1000s.

Watching a video of the Isle of Man TT can be lengthy, as the 37-mile course often exceeds 15 minutes. It takes remarkable skill and endurance to maintain top speed for that amount of time while navigating challenging turns, twists, and jumps. Hickman’s dominance in the last three races of the season solidifies his exceptional performance this year.

In the second race of the RL360 Superstock TT class alone, the riders completed 4,037.110 miles, with a total of 107 laps throughout the day. This race was part of the six-day Tourist Trophy event, which included qualifying rounds. The 2024 season holds promise, as fans anticipate whether Hickman or any of his rivals will set new lap records. Only time will reveal the outcome.
