Drag Race Showdown: Bentley Continental GT vs Flying Spur

In a recent drag race video, the Bentley Continental GT and the Flying Spur go head-to-head to showcase their impressive performance. Despite the Flying Spur’s larger size, the two cars are remarkably similar in terms of power.

Both the Continental GT and the Flying Spur are equipped with twin-turbocharged 6.0-liter W12 engines. The Flying Spur produces 635 horsepower while the GT boasts 659 horsepower. Additionally, both cars generate 663 pound-feet (900 Newton-meters) of torque and feature all-wheel drive with eight-speed dual-clutch gearboxes. It’s worth noting that the Continental GT is lighter, weighing in at 5,011 pounds (2,273 kilograms) compared to the Flying Spur’s 5,372-pound (2,437-kilogram) curb weight.

Bentley Batur Features New, 20-Speaker Audio System That Costs $31,000

This 20-speaker sound system consists of six tweeters, nine mid-range speakers, two woofers, two active bass transducers, and one subwoofer. The mid-range speakers and tweeters feature Focal’s patented M cones and utilize drivers derived from Focal’s Grand Utopia lineup.

Uniquely Colorful Bentley Continental GTC Celebrates LGBTQ+ Community

Bentley Motors recently showed its support for the LGBTQ+ community by sponsoring the Manchester Pride event. As part of this support, they presented a specially designed Bentley Continental GTC, wrapped in a vibrant rainbow stripe pattern. This convertible, which is part of Bentley’s Heritage Collection, was created to symbolize the automaker’s commitment to the LGBTQ+ community.

The Bentley Continental GTC made a bold statement as it took part in the parade, adding a touch of color and celebration to the event. The Manchester Pride parade is one of the largest Pride events in the UK, aiming to promote a world where everyone can live and love without facing prejudice. This parade not only marks the progress made in LGBTQ+ rights but also serves as a platform to raise awareness, inspire others, and challenge discrimination.

Bentley “Scent Of Noir” Fragrance Gives Guys That New Car Smell

Bentley announced it made a new fragrance for men which is said to be inspired by the British luxury car brand’s Blackline models which come with blacked-out details instead of the usual chrome trim.

Officially called Bentley For Men Black Edition, the new masculine perfume comes in a sharp monochrome bottle that resembles a tailored tuxedo, designed to reflect the lines and curves of a Bentley, the company says.

With heavy black glass, the bottle also features discrete silver-white stripes, polished silver metal shoulders embossed with the car maker’s logo, and a silver cap ringed with Bentley’s signature knurling that’s present in the interior of all its cars.

Designed by master perfumer Dorothée Piot, Bentley’s black-themed fragrance is described by the Crewe-based luxury vehicle makers as follows:

In the opening, a radiant accord of powdery violet and tangy tangerine feels as fresh as a clean white shirt. Cool pink pepper and nutmeg add the silvery flash of a pair of sleek, brushed steel cufflinks. Brightened by a hint of jasmine – the gleam of a silk tie – the heart of the fragrance unfolds like a dark, subtly textured fabric of smooth patchouli and earthy papyrus. Darker still, the drydown weaves cool incense, tobacco-scented tonka bean, and leather-tinged Atlas cedarwood on a base of musk and crisp, dry wood.

Like the Blackline series, this perfume is all about cutting-edge gravitas, lending the wearer a scent that is both purposeful and enigmatic.

Besides the new Black Edition fragrance, the maker of the Continental GT also sells the Momentum Unbreakable Eau de Parfum and the Magnetic Amber fragrance.

Bentley says that 40 percent of the cars it makes are outfitted with the Blackline pack which replaces all chrome and satin finishes – except the winged badge and Flying-B mascot’s feathers – with Beluga black, including the wheels, headlight surrounds, and matrix grille.

The latest model in the company’s lineup to be available with the chrome delete option is the new Bentayga Extended Wheelbase (EWB) Mulliner, which debuted last week as the brand’s flagship, featuring a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine delivering 542 horsepower and 568 pound-feet of torque, exclusive 22-inch wheels, and airline seats as standard.

Bentley Continental GT Speed Revealed With Classic Styling Cues, And It’s The Only One

The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, played host to the debut of a unique Bentley Continental GT Speed, designed to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the nameplate. This one-off creation was crafted by Bentley’s Mulliner personalization division and showcases similar styling elements as the original Continental GT from 2003. It has since been sold to a collector based in the United States.

Painted in an elegant Cypress Green color, the distinctive Continental GT Speed boasts an interior adorned with Saddle brown leather and Burr Walnut wood veneer trim, featuring both open pore and high gloss finishes. The cabin is also punctuated with subtle touches of the Special Green color, including contrast stitching. Notably, the treadplates bear the inscription “20 years of the Continental GT by Bentley Mulliner.”

Bentley Bentayga EWB Mulliner: A New Flagship Model

Bentley has introduced the Bentley Bentayga Extended Wheelbase (EWB) Mulliner as its new flagship model. This luxury SUV offers more cabin space compared to its competitors and comes with bespoke enhancements, according to the British automaker.

The Bentayga EWB Mulliner is based on the brand’s popular Bentayga SUV. It undergoes the craftsmanship of Bentley’s in-house coachbuilder, Mulliner, resulting in a vehicle that exudes artistic elegance.

Under the hood, this variant is powered by the same 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged engine found in the regular Bentayga SUV. It generates an impressive 542 horsepower and 568 pound-feet of torque. The Bentayga EWB Mulliner is available in either a 4+1 or 4-seat configuration.

One of the standout features of this flagship model is its standard Airline Seat specification. Bentley describes it as the most advanced automotive seating system in the world, featuring 12 electric motors and 22-way adjustment. However, this seating option is also available as an upgrade for the non-Mulliner Bentayga EWB.

What sets the coach-built Bentayga EWB Mulliner apart is its luxurious interior. It boasts Mulliner Harmony Diamond Quilt leather upholstery on the seats and door panels. The vehicle also includes Mulliner deep-pile overmats made from 100 percent wool, Grand Black wood veneer trim, three-dimensional diamond milled finish on the center console, and Mulliner name embroidery on each seat.

Bentley introduces new range-topping Bentayga EWB Mulliner priced at £254k

Bentley has unveiled a new top-of-the-range variant of the Bentley Bentayga EWB, created by their Mulliner division.

Priced at £254,000 in the UK, this SUV comes with Airline rear seats as standard, available in either a four- or four-plus-one layout.

These seats can be reclined up to 40 degrees and are equipped with temperature and humidity sensors that automatically adjust the heating or venting accordingly. Additionally, they include a massaging feature that constantly changes the shape of the seat surface to reduce fatigue.

The interior of the vehicle features new Olive Tan leather upholstery, which is stained using an olive-oil byproduct derived from waste water. This purification process not only conserves water but also ensures the material remains free from toxic chemicals, according to Bentley.

The new cabin carpets are also made entirely from recycled nylon, reducing waste and promoting sustainability.

One of the notable technological features in the Mulliner edition is Bentley’s Diamond Illumination technology, which adds LED illumination through small holes in the leather doorcards, with a diameter of less than 1mm. This lighting system is controlled through the infotainment screen.

Another distinctive feature of the Mulliner edition is a special clock that takes pride of place on the dashboard, exclusively designed for Mulliner cars.

On the exterior, the changes are more subtle, with the addition of a Double Diamond grille pattern and a set of 22-inch wheels shared with the Continental GT and Flying Spur Mulliner.

Buyers also have the option to add the Blackline package, which finishes all the brightwork, except the badges, in gloss-black paint.

Bentley Blower Junior: A Retro, Road-Legal EV priced at £90,000

Bentley and The Little Car Company (LCC) have teamed up to create a street-legal, luxurious electric replica of the iconic 1929 Bentley Blower. This replica, called the Blower ‘Junior’, is an 85%-scale version that rivals the Citroën Ami.

LCC has developed the Blower Junior with full technical support from Bentley, marking the first road-legal car produced by LCC, which is based in Bicester.

The development of this replica has relied heavily on Bentley’s heritage fleet Blower Team Car No 2. The initial production run of 99 First Edition cars will closely match the specifications of the original model, including the same color scheme, Union flag motifs, and other details like doorplates.

Unlike the original Blower, which featured a 4.5-liter supercharged engine producing 240bhp and competed at Le Mans in 1930, the Blower Jr is powered by a more modest rear-mounted 48V electric motor that generates 20bhp.

The Blower Jr falls into the L7e quadricycle category, allowing it to reach a top speed of 45mph in the UK, with an estimated range of 65 miles. It is constructed in two sections, with the rear section using carbon fiber instead of the original’s ash wood. The batteries and electronics are housed in an undertray.

Measuring at 3700mm in length, the Blower Jr is comparable in size to a Hyundai i10, and it is 1500mm wide. The decision to create an 85% scale was made to ensure practicality and usability. Duncan Grey, LCC’s commercial chief, explained that the goal was to make a mini-Blower that could be used as an everyday vehicle.

Similar to the original Blower, the Junior version is a two-seater, adopting a tandem layout with the passenger seated behind the driver. To meet road-legal requirements, the Blower Jr is equipped with modern features such as Brembo disc brakes, seat belts, indicators, and lights.

The interior and dashboard of the Blower Jr closely resemble the original model, although there are some adjustments. The fuel pressure pump now serves as the drive mode selector, and the gear selector is based on the ignition advance control of the original. Additionally, the Blower Jr incorporates modern features like a USB charging port and a dual-function display with a built-in Garmin sat nav and reversing camera.

The Blower Jr First Edition is set to launch in 2024 with a price of £90,000 excluding VAT and shipping. Although significantly more expensive than the £7695 Citroën Ami, it remains a more affordable option compared to the original Blower, which is currently insured for £25 million by Bentley.

Bentley Continental GT Spotted Drifting at the Nurburgring

It has been a while since we last saw a prototype of the Bentley Continental GT on the road. But the wait was worth it because we now have a video of the car power sliding through corners at the famous Nurburgring.

CarSpyMedia on YouTube captured this thrilling footage. Even though the Continental GT is not a lightweight vehicle, the driver behind the wheel doesn’t seem to mind. The noise from other cars on the track makes it difficult to hear the engine sound, but we believe it may be a hybrid twin-turbocharged V8 based on some exhaust notes that can be heard.
