Volvo Car UK has revealed a new flagship multi-million-pound showroom, Volvo Cars North West London, in Elstree.

Volvo Car UK and Endeavour Automotive, the site’s operator, have invested a combined £8 million in the facility.

The site, which opens today, offers new and used car sales, servicing, MoT inspections, and repairs.

Volvo Cars is dedicated to becoming a climate-neutral company by 2040 and a fully electric car maker by 2030. As part of this commitment, the new Elstree showroom is the most sustainable Volvo site in the UK and has been designed to exceed Volvo’s new Volvo Retail Sustainable Experience (VRSE) standard.

The site boasts a 178kW solar panel system installed on the building’s roof, which is expected to reduce CO₂ by 25 metric tons a year and produce enough renewable energy to fully charge almost 2,100 electric vehicles. Any excess energy will be sent to the grid to support local needs, demonstrating Volvo’s commitment to the Elstree community.

The showroom also features a 5,000-litre rainwater harvesting system, designed to capture enough water to clean nearly 600 cars or fill 1,100 baths a year. Additionally, the building is equipped with high-efficiency heat-recovery-based heat pumps for warmth and efficient LED lighting throughout.

To accommodate Volvo’s expanding electric car range, the facility offers 33 electric car charging outlets, including eight ultra-fast DC charging points.

The showroom includes bespoke digital displays with energy-efficient direct-view LED technology, laser projection, and touchscreens beside each display car, enhancing the consumer experience with visual motion and interactivity.

Furthermore, there is a Volvo signature lounge area with luxurious Scandinavian furniture, providing a comfortable environment for customers. The site also offers Volvo Personal Service, a streamlined, paperless service to car owners that halves waiting times, ensuring an outstanding consumer experience.
