CITROËN STREAMLINES ITS PASSENGER VEHICLE RANGE TO IMPROVE THE CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE

Citroën has simplified its vehicle range by launching three new trim levels: YOU, PLUS, and MAX. These new trim levels replace the previous Sense, Sense Plus, Shine, and Shine Plus names. The goal of this overhaul is to provide clearer and more transparent commercial offers that connect customers and Citroën’s sales network. The streamlined range aims to simplify the customer purchase process and build trust in the brand by offering well-defined options that are tailored to the needs and lifestyles of customers.

Citroën’s new range is inspired by the company’s desire to simplify the consumer experience, improve pricing fairness, and reduce delivery times. The range has been redesigned based on analysis of new consumer habits and a shift towards a more digital world.

A SIMPLIFIED RANGE, TAILORED TO CUSTOMER NEEDS

The new model range consists of three trim levels: YOU, PLUS, and MAX. This redefined range makes it easier for customers to understand the different trim levels, standard equipment, and options available. Each trim level is designed to meet customer needs and preferences.

The range reflects Citroën’s commitment to providing style and comfort. For example, the entry-level YOU trim for the C4 and C4 X models offers Citroën comfort, with features like Advanced Comfort Suspension®, Advanced Comfort Seats®, a 10-inch touchscreen with wireless smartphone mirroring, and rear parking sensors. The PLUS trim enhances the Citroën experience with a head-up display, a rear-view camera, and connected navigation. The MAX versions provide additional equipment such as hands-free access and adaptive cruise control with the Stop & Go function, along with unique style elements like dark-tinted rear windows and 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.

Special ‘collection’ versions will also be available for each model range, such as the electric ë-Series collection for ë-C4, ë-C4 X, and C5 Aircross Hybrid and Plug-In Hybrid models.

AN IMPROVED CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE

By streamlining its range, Citroën aims to improve the buying experience, reduce costs, and minimize delivery lead times. The Citroën Advisor programme is one of the tools used to achieve these goals. It allows customers to provide transparent feedback and opinions on products, sales outlets, and service offerings.

The streamlined range and enhanced online navigation on the Citroën website make the buying process less complex and smoother for customers. Production, stock management, and cost controls have also been optimized to ensure fair pricing and shorter delivery lead times.

Mercedes EQA facelift brings fresh look and 347-mile range

The Mercedes-Benz EQA has received an update with a more streamlined appearance and a range that now claims to be one of the longest in its class.

The electric crossover, along with its updated sibling the Mercedes-Benz EQB, will be available to order in the autumn and is expected to arrive in the UK early next year.

New look, infotainment and towbar for 2024 Mercedes EQB

In 2024, the EQA will feature a new front grille panel with Mercedes’ signature star pattern, aligning it with larger and more expensive models such as the GLC and EQS SUV.

The front bumper has also been optimized for aerodynamic efficiency, and the headlights are now accompanied by a bumper-width light bar. The rear lights have been refreshed with a more intricate 3D design, while the distinctive light bar across the boot lid remains unchanged.

Through the inclusion of aero tweaks, a new range-maximization mode that disables unnecessary functions, and new low rolling-resistance tires, Mercedes has increased the EQA’s claimed range from 260 miles to 347 miles.

As a result, it surpasses many of its closest competitors, including the 230-mile Kia Niro EV, BMW iX1, and the 314-mile Audi Q4 E-tron.

The EQA is also equipped with Mercedes’ new three-spoke steering wheel with capacitive controls, first introduced in the current-generation S-Class.

The trim pieces on the dashboard and doors have been updated to include backlit Mercedes logos, enhancing the overall look and feel of the interior.

The infotainment system is based on Mercedes’ latest-generation MBUX system, featuring two 10.0-inch screens as standard, with customizable display styles named Subtle, Sporty, and Classic.

The displays have also been given cleaner and simpler graphics, and the voice-recognition system is now more responsive to various types of dialogue.

The ID.7: sophisticated aerodynamics for long range and high efficiency

The ID.7 is the first electric model from Volkswagen for the upper mid-sized class. With a range of up to 700 kilometres (WLTP), the Volkswagen limousine is an efficiency champion. In addition to a new drive generation, sophisticated aerodynamics contribute to the ID.7’s long ranges. The aerodynamically favourable basic form, low drag coefficient (Cd value) of 0.23 and frontal area of 2.46 m² are the result of close cooperation between the Design and Development departments.
