General Motors is revisiting its stance on hybrid know-how, saying a shift in its product lineup technique to incorporate plug-in hybrid electrical autos. The revelation was made by GM CEO Mary Barra throughout an investor briefing on Tuesday.

This change marks a departure from GM’s earlier place, notably in 2018, when the corporate’s President, Mark Reuss, declared that GM wouldn’t put money into hybrids, emphasizing a concentrate on battery electrical autos. Three years later, in an interview with The Washington Post, Reuss stated the automaker had determined “a couple of years ago that we weren’t going to get into a large hybrid or plug-in hybrid play but rather go right to pure battery electric vehicles.”
