Toyota FT-Se Concept Teased As Electric Sports Car Concept

Toyota is giving us a glimpse of a new sports car that will be showcased at the upcoming Japan Mobility Show. The teasers reveal a futuristic-looking coupe, which is quite different from the currently available GR86 or Supra models. It seems to be an evolved version of the Sports EV concept. The new car shares a similar shape and features an orange body with a black roof, suggesting that it may be closer to a production-ready model.

Named “FT-Se,” this electric sports coupe prominently displays Gazoo Racing badges both inside and outside. In fact, the Toyota logo is absent from the rear, replaced by a black and red “GR” badge with a white font. This new badge is also visible on the steering wheel and front fender.

Toyota FT-Se teasers

The exact meaning of “FT-Se” has not been revealed by Toyota. However, based on previous models, “FT” denotes “Future Toyota.” For instance, the 2014 FT-1 concept eventually became the Supra in 2020. Presumably, the “S” in FT-Se stands for “sport” and the “e” signifies electric.

This electric sports car not only has zero-emission capabilities and a futuristic exterior design but also features a brand-new interior concept that is unrelated to the GR86 and Supra models. The digital instrument cluster is positioned above the steering wheel, flanked by an infotainment screen on the right and another screen on the left. Toyota claims that the concept includes new kneepads to protect the driver’s body from G-forces during aggressive driving.

While it’s still uncertain if Toyota has plans to put this concept into production, there is hope considering company chairman Akio Toyoda’s recent suggestion to revive the Celica. Additionally, rumors of a new MR2 model continue to circulate.

More details about the Toyota FT-Se concept will be revealed on October 25 or 26 during the press days of the 2023 Japan Mobility Show.

2025 Audi Q6 E-Tron Interior Revealed With Front Passenger Display

Audi has unveiled the interior of the 2025 Q6 e-tron, giving us a closer look at the cabin design and onboard technology. This electric vehicle (EV) is significant for Audi for several reasons. Firstly, it is similar in size to the popular Q5, positioning it between the Q4 e-tron and Q8 e-tron in Audi’s EV lineup. Secondly, it is the first model based on the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) developed in collaboration with Porsche and the new E3 electronics architecture. And thirdly, the cabin has been redesigned with a focus on user needs, combining technology, aesthetics, and sustainability.

The interior of the Q6 e-tron features a three-dimensional, high-contrast layout that creates a 3D spatial architecture, merging aesthetics and ergonomics. One of the standout features is the “digital stage,” which includes the Audi MMI panoramic display and the MMI front passenger display. The Audi virtual cockpit and MMI touch display make up the 11.9-inch panoramic display, while the front passenger gets a 10.9-inch display integrated into the dashboard design.

In addition to the displays, Audi offers an optional augmented reality (AR) head-up display (HUD) that projects relevant information onto the windshield for the driver. The cabin also includes the Interaction light (IAL), a curved LED strip that serves multiple functions such as vehicle status, safety indicators, and charging status. The E3 electronics platform enables a fully connected digital interior, allowing users to control various vehicle functions using Audi’s self-learning voice assistant.

The accompanying post hints at the fusion of automotive engineering and artistic brilliance, urging us to make it special and unique. Lamborghini has previously used its Unica app to tease the Sian before its official debut.

Based on the post, it is speculated that this could be a one-off vehicle. The teaser video reveals glimpses of the car, showcasing a marbled blue exterior and blue stitching on the logo. Towards the end, we get a brief view of the Huracan with the Sterrato’s off-road upgrades, including the roof-mounted air intake, nose-mounted auxiliary lights, and front fender extensions.
