Infiniti Teases the Vision Qe Concept, the Brand’s First All-Electric Model

Infiniti is set to reveal its first all-electric model, the Vision Qe concept, on October 24. This concept car will give us a glimpse into the future design direction of Infiniti’s upcoming electric vehicles, and it will be unveiled alongside the introduction of “several stunning new models.” To give us a taste of what’s to come, Infiniti has shared a teaser image of the silhouette of the concept car, featuring sleek four-door coupe proportions that resemble the Hyundai Ioniq 6. The roof and rear glass seamlessly flow into the rear fascia, and the concept dons the brand’s redesigned word mark introduced in June as part of a larger brand identity update.

This launch is part of Infiniti’s effort to update its image and revitalize its brand. One interesting trend that continues is the sales of models that have been discontinued for two or three years. Toyota, Alfa Romeo, Fiat, and other manufacturers are still reporting sales of these “zombie cars” in their sales reports.

In the last three months, Toyota managed to sell two Avalon sedans. This is surprising considering that the model was last produced in 2022 and is no longer available in the US market. The decline in sales can be attributed to changing consumer preferences for crossovers and SUVs. Despite Toyota releasing a new generation of the sedan in 2019, sales failed to improve and eventually led to the discontinuation of the model.
