Nissan Introduces Special Edition Magnite Kuro and Magnite AMT

Nissan has collaborated with the ICC for the Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 to create the Magnite Kuro edition.

  • The Magnite Kuro edition sports an all-black theme both inside and outside.

  • It features a black grille, black alloys and door handles, Kuro badging, and red brake callipers.

  • Nissan will offer the SUV with an AMT gearbox equipped with the 1-litre N/A petrol engine.

  • The Magnite already comes with a CVT option for the 1-litre turbo-petrol engine.

  • The AMT variants are expected to have a premium of approximately Rs 55,000 over the manual counterparts.

The Nissan Magnite has recently been unveiled in India with the Kuro edition. Alongside this special edition, Nissan also showcased the new AMT version. The Kuro edition is a result of Nissan’s collaboration with the International Cricket Council (ICC) for the upcoming Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023. Both models are expected to be available for sale in October.

The special edition of the SUV comes in a sleek black color with blacked-out grille, alloys, and red brake callipers. It also features Kuro badging on the front fenders.

The interior also follows an all-black design. The blacked-out elements include seat covers, door handles, steering wheel, and AC vents.

As the Kuro Edition is based on the higher-end variant of the Magnite, it comes equipped with features such as an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless phone charger, 360-degree camera, and rear AC vents.

Nissan has not yet disclosed the powertrain options for the Magnite Kuro Edition, but it is likely that all available options will be offered. Nissan has also introduced the AMT gearbox option for the Magnite SUV, which is paired with the 1-litre N.A. petrol engine. The Magnite is now available with two engine options: a 1-litre N/A (72PS/96Nm) paired with a 5-speed manual or AMT, and a 1-litre turbo-petrol (100PS/160Nm) with a choice of manual or CVT gearboxes.

The pricing for the AMT variant has not been revealed yet, but it is expected to have a premium of around Rs. 55,000 compared to the manual variant. The Magnite competes against popular models such as the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Fronx, Hyundai Exter, Tata Punch, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Mahindra XUV300, Kia Sonet, and the Renault Kiger.
