The Kuro Edition is available on the one-below-top XV variants of the Magnite and can be purchased with both naturally aspirated and turbo-petrol engine options.

The Magnite Kuro edition is available on the one-below-top XV variants of the Magnite with both engine options and comes with a premium of Rs 46,000. Let’s see what it offers for the additional cost.

Design Updates

The Magnite Kuro features an all-black color option and black treatment on the grille, ORVMs, front and rear skid plates, smoked LED headlamps, black alloy wheels with red brake calipers, and Kuro badging under the ORVMs.

Inside, the standard Magnite already has an all-black cabin, but the Kuro edition takes it further. It features a black dashboard, black upholstery, black door trims, black door handles, and blacked-out sun visors. It also includes gloss black elements on the steering wheel, AC vents, and gear knob.

Feature Additions

Nissan Magnite Kuro Edition Wireless Phone Charger

The only additional feature in the Kuro edition is a wireless phone charger from the tech pack. Other features remain the same, including an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 7-inch digital driver’s display, automatic climate control, and rear AC vents.

In terms of safety, it comes with dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC), a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and a 360-degree camera.

Powertrain Options

The Kuro edition is available with both engine options of the Magnite. It offers two engines: a 1-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine (72PS/96Nm) and a 1-litre turbo-petrol engine (100PS/160Nm). The turbo-petrol engine is available with a 5-speed manual and a CVT option, while the base petrol engine only comes with a 5-speed manual transmission.

However, Nissan will soon introduce an AMT option for the naturally aspirated petrol engine, and it is expected that the Magnite Kuro edition will also be offered with this transmission option.

Nissan Magnite Kuro Edition

The Nissan Magnite is one of the most affordable offerings in its segment, with prices ranging from Rs 6 lakh to Rs 11.02 lakh (ex-showroom). It competes with rivals such as the Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, and Renault Kiger.

Nissan Introduces Special Edition Magnite Kuro and Magnite AMT


Nissan has collaborated with the ICC for the Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 to create the Magnite Kuro edition.

  • The Magnite Kuro edition sports an all-black theme both inside and outside.

  • It features a black grille, black alloys and door handles, Kuro badging, and red brake callipers.

  • Nissan will offer the SUV with an AMT gearbox equipped with the 1-litre N/A petrol engine.

  • The Magnite already comes with a CVT option for the 1-litre turbo-petrol engine.

  • The AMT variants are expected to have a premium of approximately Rs 55,000 over the manual counterparts.

The Nissan Magnite has recently been unveiled in India with the Kuro edition. Alongside this special edition, Nissan also showcased the new AMT version. The Kuro edition is a result of Nissan’s collaboration with the International Cricket Council (ICC) for the upcoming Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023. Both models are expected to be available for sale in October.

The special edition of the SUV comes in a sleek black color with blacked-out grille, alloys, and red brake callipers. It also features Kuro badging on the front fenders.

The interior also follows an all-black design. The blacked-out elements include seat covers, door handles, steering wheel, and AC vents.

As the Kuro Edition is based on the higher-end variant of the Magnite, it comes equipped with features such as an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless phone charger, 360-degree camera, and rear AC vents.

Nissan has not yet disclosed the powertrain options for the Magnite Kuro Edition, but it is likely that all available options will be offered. Nissan has also introduced the AMT gearbox option for the Magnite SUV, which is paired with the 1-litre N.A. petrol engine. The Magnite is now available with two engine options: a 1-litre N/A (72PS/96Nm) paired with a 5-speed manual or AMT, and a 1-litre turbo-petrol (100PS/160Nm) with a choice of manual or CVT gearboxes.

The pricing for the AMT variant has not been revealed yet, but it is expected to have a premium of around Rs. 55,000 compared to the manual variant. The Magnite competes against popular models such as the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Fronx, Hyundai Exter, Tata Punch, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Mahindra XUV300, Kia Sonet, and the Renault Kiger.

Nissan Magnite Is The Official Car Of The ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023


As part of the partnership with ICC for the World Cup 2023, Nissan has introduced a special ‘Kuro’ edition of the Magnite.

Nissan has renewed its long-standing partnership with the International Cricket Council (ICC) for the eighth consecutive year, as the official sponsor for the upcoming ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023. The Nissan Magnite is the official car for this ICC tournament, which will be scheduled to be held in India from October 5 to November 19, 2023. To mark this World Cup’s collaboration, Nissan has introduced the special ‘Kuro’ edition of the Magnite.

To promote the tournament, Nissan will showcase the Magnite as its official car at the stadium. The carmaker will also promote activities like trophy tour in multiple cities of India with a 3D trophy. All cricket enthusiasts will be able to click 360-degree images of the trophy. The Magnite’s special edition will also be showcased during the trophy tour, and customers can stand a chance to win match tickets by taking selfies with the Magnite.

The Nissan Magnite is equipped with several standard safety features, including electronic stability program (ESP), traction control system (TCS), hill start assist (HSA), and tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS). It also gets dual front airbags and a 360-degree camera as a part of its safety kit.

The Nissan Magnite is now exported to 15 global markets, including recently added countries such as Seychelles, Bangladesh, Uganda, and Brunei. Nissan India has strategically shifted its primary export focus to Middle Eastern countries, including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait. In India, the Magnite is priced between Rs 6 lakh and Rs 11.02 lakh. It takes on the likes of Maruti Brezza, Tata Nexon Facelift, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, and Renault Kiger.
