Zeekr X

The interior of the Zeekr X follows the BYD philosophy of covering everything in synthetic leather to create a premium look. While it’s an improvement over hard plastic, it may lean towards kitsch and might not age well. However, there are some unique details such as vertical bars of mood lighting, rounded window switches, and an innovative multilevel center console with a fold-out cupholder and roller shutter.

As is often the case with Chinese cars, the Zeekr X prioritizes rear legroom over boot space. Nonetheless, the boot space is still adequate, measuring at 362 liters. Zeekr has also done away with physical buttons in favor of a 14.6-inch central touchscreen, heavily inspired by Tesla’s system. While the touchscreen is responsive, it can feel a bit overwhelming, with some menus not functioning intuitively.

Thankfully, the Zeekr X offers integration with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, which are well-integrated into the system. The driving position is crossover-appropriate, providing a tall-ish viewpoint. However, the seats, although generally comfortable, have aggressive lumbar support that can be uncomfortable, even when set to the lowest setting.

PLANO, Texas (Sept. 29, 2023) – Toyota unveiled a premium special edition Tundra at the State Fair of Texas, right in its home state.

Tundra 1794 Special Edition Premium Capability

The Tundra, now in its third generation, introduces a new take on the iconic 1794 grade for the 2024 model year. The 1794 Limited Edition, built upon the ranch that the San Antonio plant is located on, offers an elevated premium leather interior experience and enhanced off-road capability.

Tundra owners are known for their rugged and durable trucks, and this special edition adds exclusivity with only 1,500 units being produced. The 1794 Limited Edition, based on the 1794 Tundra grade, comes with a Crew Max cab, 5.5-foot bed, four-wheel drive, and the I-FORCE Max powertrain as standard.

The unique premium leather interior was developed through a collaboration with the Saddleback Leather Company. The leather used meets rigorous standards for quality, durability, and style.

In addition, the 1794 Limited Edition comes with several Saddleback Leather Company accessories that match the truck, including a large overnight bag, tool roll, owners’ portfolio, key glove, and a small pouch.

The engineers have not only focused on the beautiful interior but have also added upgraded FOX suspension and an off-road inspired wheel and tire combination. The shocks with piggyback reservoirs and a 1.1-inch lift improve the truck’s stance and off-road capability.

The exterior design changes include a dark chrome grille, blacked-out accents, unique stamped tailgate, and an embossed label inside marking the truck as one of 1,500.

The Tundra 1794 Limited Edition will be available in dealerships in the spring of 2024. It will be offered in colors such as Wind Chill Pearl, Midnight Black Metallic, Blueprint, and Smoked Mesquite.
