Mazda Plans to Release “Very Cool” Special Editions of MX-5 Miata

Mazda recently launched the ND3 MX-5 in Japan, indicating that the current generation of this beloved sports car will remain in production for a few more years. Shigeki Saito, the Miata’s Program Manager, stated in an interview with CarsGuide that they intend to keep the fourth-generation model, known as the ND, for as long as possible, while also adhering to various regulatory requirements.

When asked about the release date for the next-generation MX-5, Saito suggested that it won’t be happening anytime soon. He explained that Mazda is in no hurry to replace the current model because electrifying the roadster would compromise its lightweight nature, which is a key aspect of the Miata’s identity. The company prefers to wait until battery technology improves and becomes smaller and lighter before launching an electric MX-5.

2024 Mercedes-AMG E53 Seems Angry In Spy Video From The Nürburgring

In recent news, Mercedes-AMG has addressed rumors surrounding the return of the V8 engine for the E63. The company hinted that the range-topping version may opt for an inline-six engine instead. However, what can we expect from the E53 model? A new spy video filmed at the Nürburgring suggests that the AMG Lite variant will not follow in its bigger brother’s footsteps and downsize the engine. Instead, it appears that this prototype is equipped with a six-cylinder engine.

Although the camera work in the video is a bit shaky at times, it still provides a good opportunity to witness the new AMG E53 in action. The car is concealed by camouflage, but keen observers will notice an interesting detail that was previously captured in spy shots. The sedan features a fuel cap on the right side of the rear fender, which is expected. However, there is also another fuel cap on the left side of the rear fender.
